So every male banner flopped, except when they didn't flop, and if it flopped with a waifu it's not the waifu's fault despite selling less than the male character on her first banner?

Banners don't exist in a vaacum. The top banner is Hutao + Yelan because it was lantern rite + anniversary aka chinese holiday + top up reset + most broken weapon banner yet. Ayaka's rerun presumably counts covid making her banner last 2 months.

You say "wanderer rerun floped lol" but that was wanderer with kokomi (who is the lowest solo release banner ever there) on 3.8 filler patch after fontaine units were all revealed. I didn't play that patch because i switched to star rail. I don't think i was the only one either.

And i'll actually defend kokomi because it wasn't her fault, if (reminder we are all guessing here) she sold bad it's because she never stood a chance against Raiden (and her weapon is GARBAGE). She sold more on their rerun, or at least on theory, assuming the numbers were not carried by everyone rolling for Raiden or raiden c2.

All i'm saying is that this is all still alleged third party projections. We are all agenda posting here.

If ZZZ is having a "relaunch that changed stuff" then Lighter being turned in the first 5* limited husbando to attract women makes sense. A free harumasa and sexy vampire with shirtless scenes wasn't omni-pandering? At least tell me lighter flopped or something.

I expect people to say Hugo sold bad because he's coming before 2.0 and Yu Xuan who is being marketed so hard with her fighting miyabi just so sell how overpowered and uber strong she is (they want the powerscaler crowd).

And like troon whisperer said, some characters don't need to directly sell banners to make profit when they can sell merch. Childe for example has a lot of official merchandise and even a figure. I think it's crazy that the only 5* skin in the game is for Diluc and no waifus but, unlike your average redditor, i assume the billionaire company knows better than me.

All i'm getting here is that Kaveh is so thrash he killed the game! Well, it's most likely because Star Rail released and stole a chunk of genshin players... But i want to blame kaveh because it's funny and he's bad.

The overall reaction to Corina not voicing Paimon anymore has been so overwhelmingly positive and it's hilarious to me. Everyone has genuinely hated her and her Paimon voice for years and it's an open celebration that Paimon is now free of the tyranny she was under. There's just universal optimism that Paimon will stop being such a hated character in the English speaking community now.

Whoever the new VA turns out to be, I at least hope Hoyo has sense and doesn't make Paimon's voice extremely high pitched. Her voice was actually pretty good in the early days before they decided to make "annoyingly high pitched voice" her most defining trait in the English audio.
 
It's hilarious how even Normie Websites are cheering over Corina deciding to fuck off, especially now that Hoyo is just saying "Fuck It" and recasting people rather than deal with these dipshits. She couldn't've timed this move worse if she tried.

Nothing of value will be lost, and may she and the rest of the EN VA's that fucked off for SAG be replaced soon.
 
I hope paimon still has the jerky kinda vibe, but not the uwu screechy voice or just the uwu voice they replaced barbaras english voicelines with randomly a good while ago blatantly lying about the original lines being a "mistake". Honestly I'm surprised there's voiced characters at all now. Hire me, I'll do all the voices, make em scream like joe peshi, bob hoskins, and danny devito all at once. Every character. No exceptions. Jokes aside, they won't cause i'm not connected in any industry or a youtube guy but eh, I can imagine. Kinich's new english voice lines are really off in some places, that much I noticed. stuffs way too deep at random intervals and sound alike to the other guy at others, and some lines where he's clearly animated to be yelling he just casually says stuff. Who even does that? who gave him that direction? he seemed fine otherwise, but after abruptly hearing a grunt replaced by an "ok" that just sounds creepily like my own voice and then some of the other attack sounds being weird I gotta wonder if I could have done a better job. More if anyone could do a better job, it's a real thought I've got a lot of thought about the last few decades. We need more no-names and less SAGs. I'll take solace in knowing the floating rat's going to have a little break from... well everything.

The official genshin subreddit (mods are employees) thread about it has +10k upvotes. Multiple threads celebratin it and calling her out, it's pratically karma farming and some are actual mean spiritedness that are being deleted.


It's almost sad, how in the podcast interview (?) she was very happy about it, probably expecting a lot of support but in reality anyone who kept track of the voice actor drama is praying hoyo replaces as soon as humanly possible.

With all the shit that came out about SAG, their borderline mafia and monopoly tactics, and how she's still lying about the situation ("WE NEED SAG TO PROTECT AGAINST AI") when that's not what it's actually about, I'd be shocked if anyone actually supports her unless they are as brain drained as she and her cronies of SAG FAG HAGS are.

But those people do unfortunately exist so...
