The game was too easy already, it doesn't look like it's going to cause much issue.
Normal gameplay should be fine. I am mostly skeptical how it may or may not affecting endgame mode or at least devs will implement similar mechanic to endgame mode bosses fight. Then using that mechanic asking for even more specific team comp, similar to how Deadly Assault right now.
The new boss definitely has that Miasma field barrier in DA.
DA 2.0.webp
But to be specific, how Genshin with Nightsoul shield asks specific Natlan characters or fast elemental application team to have good time. They only mention doing damage and dodge counter properly reduce Miasma field barrier. So how does damage is calculated? Does it mean playing on-field ATK like SS Anby, S11 and anomaly team much better than off-field ATK like Harumasa, Corin, Zhu Yuan? Since the latter team comp usually has stunner on-field most of the time and stunner doesn't do good damage.
Whether the Miasma field barrier is also affected by units specific element weakness or not too. Additional layer upon layer asks for specific units.
Also, rupture class is pretty much second generation of ATK units anyway.

About unit buffing, devs already have video back in April talking about it. But they only buff Ellen with one of her Lost Void gear choice. This whole thing about buffing old units comes off to me something they only come up recently, because they know people have complaint about HSR powercreep around that time. Beside, it isn't Ellen the only one with Lost Void gear, there's Billy, Corin, etc... They could have just give something to Billy and Corin too since they are like 4* if they are so worry about "potential revenue" from future units.

Grace definitely needs rework the most, but imo all of them need it. Even the best choice like Lycaon. My SS Anby - Trigger - random support team can consistently clear notorious hunt Dead End Butcher faster than my Hugo - Lighter - Lycaon. Simple thing, Lighter and Lycaon do not give enough damage and off-field damage like Trigger. But that is also debatable that I lack signature weapon for Hugo and Lighter. My Lighter uses Lycaon's sig anyway, since I find him on-field much better than Lycaon.

Pretty much why typical ATK team comp is behind Anomaly Disorder team comp because not as much damage pumping through. And devs have to design new generation of supports and stunners with off-field damage. Trigger, Pulchra and lesser extend Astra Yao.

Other than that, Waifei Peninsula still looks cozy enough despite its China Hong Kong aesthetic. I still don't feel it for disciple thing.

But they only buff Ellen with one of her Lost Void gear choice.
And that's only her basics. They're also buffing her core (+100% CDMG now applies to dash, ult and basic) , her additional skill (now needs Stun or faction instead of faction or ice) and added an auto-parry to her basic attack string, so now she'll be able to do a whole combo.
They could have just give something to Billy and Corin too since they are like 4*
They might do it later or release 5* variants of them. Only time will tell.
But that is also debatable that I lack signature weapon for Hugo and Lighter.
At least you know the comparison wasn't fair. The only real difference between the newer Attack sigs is a few points of CDMG and some extra stat that has little impact. Currently, Evelyn's sig grants the best stats for everyone else. Astra still works great with Hugo, AFAIK

So what is people's thoughts on the new chapter in HSR? I just began the yap fest and so far it's not horrendous.

I haven't finished it but it's bee a bit less of a slog than earlier bits at least. Kind of unfortunate it took three version updates for stuff to start actually happening though.

I gave in and pulled for Pink Barbara and her fat fuck of destruction though. She's definitely one of the strongest sustains but deceptively so since her burst heals aren't as bursty as Huohuo's but she heals any time someone takes damage as long as her obese unicorn is summoned. The general consensus at least on Reddit seems to be that everyone's skipping her for Phainon, and I probably could have but I want to go all in on Castorice and maybe even Blade if his rework actually goes through.

This isn't how you make money with a gacha game. It should never have been a gacha game. Maybe it wouldn't sell, but at least it wouldn't disappear forever.
This is the kind of thing I hate about gachas. All that effort, just gone. No way to preserve it unless some autist records all the packets and makes an emulated server.

It's just sad.

Hugo's sig wep on the 13th spin. I'm unfathomably lucky (hah!) with ZZZ's gacha.

I couldn't cheese SD with sig-less Miyabi. The second part's monster has a fat HP pool and the buff this time around favours Hugo/attackers over anomaly. It'll be perfect to get started with him.

I dunno if I've mentioned it, but Trigger is cracked. She'd single handedly carried 3 stars in the past DA with Harumasa (who I haven't learnt to play) and a second stun char.

I half wish I'd started GI on release. It feels like I'm eternally grinding dailies and catching up on maxing chars and weps, even though I'm level 60. Starved for mora and material every day.

ZZZ's relaxed compared to that. I'm swimming in materials and moni 'cause I've played from week 1.
welp

This is you unless you skip patches of banners at a time anyway, building up 2 characters every patch is just as draining before even factoring artifact grinding.
I picked up the game a year after release, and then took another year and a half or longer off for irl time :S
Most banners are a skip... don't have primogems to spin often.
I'm still trying to level up a team for Theatre on Hard difficulty.

Taking time off for real life is not allowed in the Gatcha Sphere. (Ignore I'm taking a HSR and ZZZ hiatus to see if they go back in a direction I'm interested in...)

Rip to my FF Record Keeper account. I could have switched to JP, but it was like 7 years of progress and way too much money spent to switch to moon runes.

Guys, you may not believe me, but I got 5/0 in that new thing

I've put my guys kinda like that

and nobody so far managed to break more than 35%. I can't get my head around why, because the left side of my main shed is barely protected. I don't think there's a way to se what your opponent is doing, but they should see this glairing weakness. Why am I keep winning?

Sunday is the last day to finish the genshin event and i recommend anyone who plays to do it since the minegame part is fairly simple and easy, you basically buy shop upgrades and better employes then do racing mission and short conversations. The event bow is pure garbage tho, i'm not sure why hoyo hates event bows so much since every single one of them is mid at best.

I spotted this on reddit and found it funny to see normies talk about zzz

The secret is realizing there is no "grind" because it's impossible to build a play too much at once to build units faster. There are five timegates in money, exp ,weapon, talent and artifacts. You simply do your daily stuff and take it slowly, eventually you'll get enough and if you're not building anyone will start pre-saving.

If you want to "optimize", you can mine some crystal spots every 3 days to forge purple ore and do a daily artifact spot route (20-30 min) so you can bank artifact exp. Buy the 2* artifact from vendors every week too (only way to convert mora into Aexp). The teapot lets you buy exp, mora and resin for "free" every week.

edit: i started at the end of 1.6, took a break from mid fontaine until natlan then skipped 5.4 and 5.5 i think.

(ifa and ororon are in my friendship team, i have no rush to build them. yunjin is not built and kachina talent is level 2, everyone else has at least functional artifacts and built talents to be usable on theater. Layla is offscreen.)

Finally crowned gaming skill and gave him an ok set (stole diluc goblet and noele hat but ok) and he's doing 100k melts with citlali. If anyone has him at c6 don't miss it out, boy is a 5* in disguise (he has more base atk than Childe).

Looking online, i think some people hyperfocus on certain units and think they're too good/bad and get countered. Some players are probably not giving a fuck and putting randomly, i think doing absolutely nothing you still get 600 points. I somehow maxed the rewards with 3 matches (thank god).

1) ZZZ, as I've always said, it's the most lenient game out of big 3 MHY games. Despite, all of resources can only get through daily stamina, but the amount of resources aren't bloated like Genshin, HSR and well even WuWa.

2) Like other people here said, there's no point of rushing maxing out many characters. It's not a marathon.
Just because I usually post instant fully build of new characters, that doesn't mean you should feel bad about yourself or the urge of having to catch up.
Also, since Genshin is open-world game, having one team comfortably and efficiently farming mobs overworld is good enough. Of course, preferably to your beloved characters. The main content has always been story and exploration, NOT THE ENDGAME MODES.
The main point of building characters is to give player to have something to do beside story and explanation exploration. Do not ever treat them as an end-goal.

3) But but, I like this upcoming release or rerun character that I don't have. I don't play the game frequently enough, That's a "you" mentality problem.
Everyone (millions of people) shares the same sentiment of acquiring new characters, limited daily stamina, farming resources and the biggest pain of crappy rng gear.

If there's a good character I want, I'll get it. Just meant I don't spin every patch as it'd cost too much, hence I'm not pressured to grind for levelling up new characters. Got Kiinich and Xilonen from Nata and skipped the rest. Saving for Skirk now, probably.

ZZZ's doing a great job satiating my gambling tendencies.

tried grinding out he event, didn't realize it was a fucked hybrid of several other prior mechanic things and ran otu of time. it would hav ebeen fun if i wasn't dead the last several months and didn't run out of fucking time after starting at 8 FUCKING PM AT NIGHT AND SPAM SKIPPING DIALOGUE ONCE IT STARTED GETTING REPETITIVE.

It took me the better part of an hour to even get past the prologue quest to start the management in earnest, never seen them frontload this much yapping for any event since that one poetry contest thing
