I'm so bad at this mode, like really bad...
To be fair, I didn't even go pass level 9 in that game mode due to lacking proper second team for it. Killing things way too slow. Also, picking the appropriate token help a lot. For some reasons the Captain token one does a lot of damage as in universal usage rather than specific Basic Attack damage, Liberation damage, intro, etc...
Like I only have A ratings in level 9 to 11, getting an S rank in Infinite torrents surprise me more. Only infinite torrents reset every few weeks and 150 astrites anyway.

How to design a Hoyo character 101:
Since Chinese are known for plagiarizing a lot. I understand their design has too be overdesign in some way. When they make their "interpretation" of JP works, it becomes more painfully annoying.
I like Gepard a lot, but the more I look at his outfit, the more I feel annoying.

WuWa current patch. I understand the sentiment, they put the other half of contents for Ciaccona release. A permanent film event, instead of weekly reset and 15 minutes run dungeon, it's more like a one time rewards collection and taking quite an effort (nearly an hour per run). Also, films can have multiple endings depending on what player has completed.
The game mode doesn't really hint how to achieve all endings. So far, it's either doing everything or only doing partial of "something". Player have to do an entire run again to get different ending too. It's a kinda rogue-like game mode, so RNG (appropriated) characters upgrades/buffs and having actual DPS character are really important. Otherwise, it can feel tedious on repeated runs.

About Zani, I'm not sure about this direction of having an obvious pair of characters being the max potential in gameplay. At the same time, they make sub-dps characters are really specialized in one thing and have secondary trait can be quite useful to non-intended pair/team comp.
As usual, why character leaks are so helpful and be picky with characters for daily farm more than endgame. Wuwa is filtering me how characters play way more than Genshin and ZZZ.

So it's an open world game now.
It's not an open world, more like a really big hub (Aerospace City) that has zero loading screens between safe zone and combat zone similar to Pale Wasteland in 1.4.
Open world means when you can actually physically walk from location A to B, for example walking from Sixth Street to Lumina Square and not through any fast travel or loading screen kind. Like you even see new events still use old "arena" combat maps anyway.

Other than that, improved fast travel UI and better PC/mobile storage optimization are nice.
Edit: I hope miasma mechanic for new Hollow isn't too annoying. It's just another "heath bloat" mechanic.
Being able to immediately get a 5* character and 5* weapon in standard banner just by logging in is neat. But tbh, zero buffs and reworks for them don't really look that great. Even for new players, it's somewhat coping.

The game was too easy already, it doesn't look like it's going to cause much issue.

Standards are dogshit by design, you're expected to get their MS6 eventually. The only one that really needs a buff is Grace and maybe Koleda.

She was the 2nd last unit (until Zhu Yuan) I got until I deleted the game (I had the savings (which were still saved cause I got her in literally 2 pulls) & she was meta (which I never completed due to lacking Lycaon, so I shoved Zhu Yuan there instead). More importantly, I love shark girls (the maid outfit is cherry on top), so I'm happy she gets buffed honestly.

That said, IIRC, buffing units directly is illegal as per Gacha laws in Asian countries.

Granblue Fantasy adjusts or updates characters all the time so I don't think that's a thing, although it's mostly just some numbers adjusting or extra uncaps as substantial kit reworks usually are a whole new unit entirely. I'm also not sure is the thing about them getting sued for false advertising over making limited characters available permanently is a thing because Star Rail put some older characters like Blade as possible 50/50 pulls, albeit only on the limited banner, plus the 5* shop thing. Granted the redemption item for that shop doesn't seem to be available through any normal means so maybe that's how they got away with it.

They removed Archer and Saber from the beta, presumably because FATEs company got upset all their animations leaked instantly and are publically avaiable on twitter and youtube.

People say censoring units is illegal and changing post release is too but was it ever true? As far as i know, once you click that user agreement you sold your soul and devs can do anything.

Is ZZZ even the same game at this point? I wonder if this means units will be genshinfied to become off field subdps.

I do find impressive that the anniversary free stuff is actually GOOD and somehow the best hoyo ever did, proving that genshin really doesn't need to try at all to suceed and honkai wants your moneeey.

It's highly schizophrenic, that's what it is.
 
From my own experience, "building pity" is also a great way to get 5stars you don't particularly want or need.
that's why you only do it on banners you're ok with winning, and that only if you roll high. if you win the coinflip in 20 rolls it's basically a free 5*

it's more about getting the most out of your odds.

One of the bits of feedback they talked about during the 5.0 livestream is that the new player experience sucks, which is why you can now skip straight to the latest archon quests after doing the Mondstadt chapter. But connected to all this is that the new player experience will continue to suck because all those quests are not in a vacuum, there's a whole bunch of lore that's locked behind events that have been removed from the game, and they are now desperately trying to tie them into the main quests just to when we do go to Nod Krai someone would have a vague idea of what half these groups are.
the smart play is disconnect the story from the gameplay. they more or less do it anyway with letting you do bosses directly, but stuff like having to do liyue to get to inazuma is just the opposite of that.
 
Even though I wasn't a fan of TV mode, it could've worked if it was better implemented. But noooooo, let's just remove it completely. The story is also a bit disjointed but thank God that you can skip some stuff. End game stuff is not that bad...

At least the bangboos are cute.

Imagine the irony of people now complaining about the lack of TV mode because the new method is horribly designed and clunky so they add it back in.

Highly unlikely but that would be fucking funny and it'd keep the streak of ZZZs multiple personalty disorder going.

I should've clarified from another leak that they were removed from player acess but their files are still in the game files. This means they're staying but beta players cannot test them, their changes are unknown until someone datamines them in the next weeks.

Hoyo will probably pay a meaty fine and maybe sent the chines hitmen on some leakers.

It's nice to buff old characters, but this is a stopgap issue that will only hold for a few patches at best until they again release stuff that's just stronger,

MHY is buffing Silver Wolf, Blade, Jingliu, and Kafka next patch. With the exceptions of Blade, these were all my most used characters a whole year or two ago, so I'm happy they're doing something to make em a bit more useable.
