If this is true then it's pretty fucked up as it means hoyo simply decided that powercrept units will get thrown into 50/50 loss purgatory. One one hand this is an upgrade because losing 50/50 to Blade is better than losing 50/50 to yanqing, on the other hand, this will become the only way to obtain Blade and you might literally never get him since its 50% into 1/7.
Wonder if this means they'll use that pool to create the anniversary free 5* list? Then at least you're guaranteed a Blade every year.

It's alright, cookie cutter MHY style, you probably aren't missing out much. But it isn't an open world like Genshin nor epic interstellar travelling like HSR. You'll spend much less time playing Genshin and HSR assuming having all content finished. At least, imo story wise is less nothing burger at the end or "pretentious". Smashing away all non-voiced contents if you want, there are few quests with recurring NPCs quite nice in context.
Hmm, I'll give it a whirl then and see if it clicks then as I don't mind the cookie cutter MHY style, except when shit starts to go wrong, i.e Natlan's bulshit and HSR powercreep issues ripping off that bandaid.

"reliable"(TM) leakers in the HSR leak sub are saying mihoyo is working on changing the banners so old characters become permanently added to the "50/50 loss pool" and the player can choose 7 characters and you can only get those 7 when you lose 50/50. Their LCs also get added to the starglitter shop.

But here is the catch: Those characters will be stuck on the loss pool permanently and will never get a banner again.

Yea, this ain't near that buff people asked for, I guess Hoyo will only improve if they start losing money, people suggested an augment system like Arknights, or you can over-level a unit beyond level 80 but no.

I know this is a "no shit" to all of you, but this is my first Hoyo game.

Edit: Deleted some unimportant shit

He is indeed very cute.

An upside to my PSN getting hacked and having to play Genshin on a laptop that’s clearly not rated to handle Genshin even on the lowest of settings - I realize I’ve mostly been playing the game out of habit. I know I’ve played more with worse performance over the years, but good lord the performance I’m getting is atrocious.

Least we’re at the tail end of the patch where I’m not missing much. Though considering how “Meh” at best Natlan has been, might be a mixed blessing if this is what makes me jump off.

Or try the Mobile version. It legitimately can’t be much worse.

I managed to roll Yunli, putting her together with a super break unit like Fugue is really fun. She easily helped carry my Swarm Disaster run, as much as I barely play the mode.

Star Rail anniversary will have a spending event that you get some freebies the more raw cash you spend in the anniversary. This was always a thing in honkai 3 and i think they even gave free 5* characters/selectors but i doubt HSR would go this far.

Semi offtopic but if the thread don't mind me asking, how much do yall spend money on gacha and on what? I only ever bought monthly pass but i admit i bought it 14x in genshin (most i ever spent on a game wow), 4x on star rail (shame since i quit it), 1 time in snowbreak back when it was dying (why did i do that?) and 1x in tribe nine on addiction impulse.

Tribe nine monthly pass isn't even that good (it actually gives less rolls than genshin which is awful) but it gives 360 paid currency and the battle pass costs 600 so you can technically buy 2 monthly passes and get the battle pass for """free""". I hope the game doesn't die so i don't regret it...

No need to say if you value your wallet's privacy ofc. But if you're planning to spend money on HSR wait for the anniversary at least. BTW there was no change to castorice global passive so it might release as it is for real...

Fair question lol.
I only spend money on the subscriptions and the battle pass if I have completed it.

Genshin: Battle pass, 2 time. Welkins 5.
HSR: Battle pass 2 times. Express Pass, 5.
ZZZ: battle pass 1 time. I don't plan to get the subscription any time soon.
WuWa: Battle pass 1. Subscription 1. The game is rather generous and there's a lot to do so I don't plan to do it again.

In general my spending really depends on the patch and if there's someone I want. If the entire patch is something I skip, I don't bother.

I spent i think around 300euros (maybe less maybe more but def below 500) on Genshin while on other gachas i mainly bought the cheapest shit so that it is "tied" to my bank acc so i can recover it in case something happens.

Also how is Reverse ? I quit during the isolated island event where everyone liked math too much and they dressed in ancient roman clothes.

I welkin and if I don't have the juice to hit pity I BP then I top up. I haven't had to since Natlan because I have gotten all the units I want without needing to spend outside of welkin (Mualani, Xilonen R1, Mav, Citlali soon to be Varesa).

Generally get whichevers games version of Welkin if I'm actively playing, the BP if I'm enjoying myself and after a certain character. As for crystal Top ups: if I can get the double up and really feel the fomo on certain characters I'll spend. Genshin I've spent around $300-400 over the games life, mostly at the beginning when I was super addicted. HSR probably $500ish, I know I bought the $100 pack when going for E2S1 Acheron. ZZZ most I've spent was $30 on a pack. Wuwa got me for the $15 pack and been debating a $50 pack to get Brant's weapon and get a head start saving for Shorekeeper. I also try to limit myself to playing 2 Gachas at a time so I can avoid overspending.

My worst addiction by far was Final Fantasy Record Keeper, I bought the $100 packs every major event. It was a pretty bad time.

Arknights, I sadly don't remember but it's probably more then $400+, mostly on pulls, right now I'm not spending that much, I got so many characters and most of the limited banners don't interest me.

As for Star rail, Nameless Glory 8 times, some Express Pass, and $400+ for Oneiric Shards, same as Arknights, since their not releasing much 4 stars for me to give a shit to pull, and my E2 Firefly carries me, if the leaks are true I'll skip this patch for Anaxa, I want to ad least try to get E6 Moze, another reason is I'm not a fan of the direction it's going. (the global buffs, but mostly ignoring 4 stars as I bitched about it.)

Dolphin status.
WuWa 1.3, 1.4, 2.0 and 2.1, so $60 in total so far.

Genshin
3.1 to 3.8, skip 3.7. So $15 x 7 = $105. One time $100 top up for Dehya.
4.0 to 4.8, $15 x 9 = $135. Second time $100 top up for Lyney and his sig, also I could feel having enough to roll both Sige and rerun Furina.
5.0 to 5.3, $15 x 4 = $60. Stop playing the game right after I finish Lantern Rite story day 3.

HSR 1.0 to 1.3, $15 x 4 = $60. Got Luocha and his sig, same for Fu Xuan.
ZZZ 1.0 to 1.5, $15 x 6 = $90. I'm going f2p on 1.7, not sure if I keep playing til 1.8.
Total for MHY games $650 for over 2+ years.

It just means I'll quit all MHY games together. I'll try compiling Genshin leaks and updates over here though. I still have interest in the game development and like to people opinions on the game contents, just not have the heart to play it. Nobody has to "make a diary here" since I assume people here have irl social to talk about these games.
At least, as long as I keep using this site as side social interaction.
I can't say much for Arknights Endfield, but if I play the game, I may use the abandon Arknights thread on here.

Probably dropped around $300 on Genshin and about $200 on HSR. I have a small budget for games and other things and considering how most AAA games are dogshit, it's easy to just buy a bunch of welkins and the odd top-up with that money.

I dolphin in R1999 and toss a few bucks at Starseed: Asnia Trigger when something interesting comes by. Used to dolphin for the Hoyo games, but I basically stopped playing, so no need to buy anything.

As for what specifically, mostly the usual: Roaring Jukebox, Lion's Roar, both Material bundles. Maybe a summon bundle or 2
Edit: bought a few of the special outfits too. 1.6 was a neat patch

Genshin I mostly stick to the BP and Welkin - outside an occasional Yolo Whale when a character I both really like and want to upgrade rolls back into the Gacha. Considering how gimped most newer characters are unless you C1 or C2 them, that latter option has become less and less common, as I like the newer characters less depending on how gimped they feel.

This is countered by me also playing FGO and Nikke. The former has such a dogshit pull rate that I actively limit my whaling per banner, the latter knows exactly what its doing so I try to stick to its monthly pass as hard as I possibly can (still think I have some New Player Bundles I can purchase, and I've played for months now)

That's a good question. I'm horrible with finances, so I don't keep much track.

HSR is the game I've definitely spend the most on. I usually just buy the express and battle pass, so that's $25 per month. I've bought jades as well but very sporadically. I'd say in the two years I've been playing, I've probably spend $500 to $700, probably less.

Reverse's the other game I spend the most. I mostly just buy the express pass, so that's $5 a month. I do have a couple of costumes, and I've bought some crystals and some assorted things. I'd say I've spend around $100 to $150. It wouldn't surprise me if it was less.

On WuWa, I don't spend that much. I think I've bought the battle pass twice, but I do renew the express pass. I maybe have bought asterites? I'd say I've spend around $50 to $70.

I bought some stuff on Limbus once, but quit the game shortly after. That was maybe $30 to $40. I spent a dollar on ZZZ.

Depending on which battle pass I buy (I buy them for HSR or WuWa), I spend $25 to $35 per month.

isn't that basically just the genshin formula? highly doubt dehya and tighnari are gonna have another banner ever again, maybe chronicled wish but that's it.

Edit: WE ARE SO BACK!
got cucked in wuwa but then decided to roll a bit in genshin because by gatcha-math the number of 4* I still need cons for was enticing and I don't mind getting the 5* early.

then rolled till pity (won) and ended up with c3 charlotte and c5 mika without many useless copies... desire sensor is fucking real and works even across games :stress:

Semi offtopic but if the thread don't mind me asking, how much do yall spend money on gacha and on what?
usually welkin or a sub (in a mmo) if I know I gonna play most of the duration. battlepass towards the end if I finished grinding it, also depending how much cancer it is. luckily if it is complete aids it's obvious pretty early on so I don't fool myself by buying a sub etc early and then keep playing "to get my money's worth". ain't got time for that shit anymore and there are plenty of alternatives fighting for my attention and time.

no top ups ever (value return is simply too shit imho, there will always be a rerun and if not it's FOMO shit not worth playing anyway). although I dipped for a tfd skin once...

however also depends how much I care about the game overall to "support" it. still play genshin daily but don't even bother with welkin anymore (ran out and I literally didn't give a fuck). no "attachments" means I can drop it easier down the line.
