More or less, not sure how I'm still surprised by Kuro being cheeky with fanservice at characters' back. Carlotta, Danjin, Lingyang and Sanhua's default outfit.

Fake news. No official source talk about this, even like the early dev talk between games producers and devs mention nothing about this. Mostly talking about game difficulty and attracting new players.

I'd argue there is no standard 5* is equivalent of Qiqi, more like Diluc tier. Even if people dismiss Grace due to Yanagi existence. Rina was actually used for speedrun timer in Shiyu Defense before Miyabi release at least. She doesn't need EX skill to give buff comparing to Nicole, Lucy and Soukaku so having least field time requirement. Nicole still reigns supreme because she's the only one with grouping.
Rina is harder to reach potential due to needing M1 to maximizing her PEN buff duration. Also, allowing DPS char to use PEN stat for Disc 5 slot as best choice. Meanwhile, most of other times %Damage type is the best.
But it's ZZZ, even generic %ATK main stat is a good option if substats are great.

S11 on the other hand though. As I've said earlier, if my team Caesar-Astra-S11 can't make 3* in Deadly Assault against Marionette but Evelyn can without her signature?
Even, Shiyu Defense few weeks ago, one side was electric weakness, one side was ice weakness (Thracian)? Unironically, my Caesar-Lucy-Piper did much better than Caesar-Koleda-S11 on ice weakness side. Easier to play and more consistent damage overall.
It's easy to say powercreep due to better number overall. But not as many people talk about the ease of gameplay from new characters. More iframe, smashing button instead of rythmn or specific combo, bigger AOE attack size and even some capability of grouping.
 
Well I'm an idiot. I got too enticed, did a single pull and won the 50/50 in WuWa so now I have Phoebe.

Oh well. There's still a lot to do so I got plenty to grind whenever Brant comes around.

But the thing is - they are. That's the reason I don't like anime. Alongside cringe animation, infuriatingly annoying voices and everything else. And every time I have a displeasure of witnessing one of those, it always looks like keys being agressively jingled in my face. That's cheap, and I hate motherfuckers being cheap with me. What's worse: those are all the same. I understand that conformity and social cohension are virtues in asian societies, but holy crap. That makes proliferation of tropes that appeal to the lowest common denominator even worse. It's just slop, but with a picture of a theoretically attractive woman attached.

Reminds me of several friends of mine who vividly hate anime because they dislike the art style (lack of noses, freakishly big eyes, tiny mouths).

Another one hated the medium, actually anything Asian, for completely unrelated reasons but that's a story for another day.

I also remember Myazaki of Studio Ghibli fame voicing his vivid distaste for specific moe anime. I find the discussion kinda interesting personally considering how anime is a rather diverse medium. There's the typical moe stuff and there's stuff like Berserk and Akira. And Ghibli. And everything in between.

But I can definitely see why people wouldn't like it. There are aspects of it myself I don't like and I say that as an anime watcher. Shit, I avoid entire shows out of sheer distaste.

Anyway to make this thread-relevant;
It's astounding to from HSR where I have no quests to WuWa where I'm like drowning in them, holy fuck. I'm not too worried about not getting Brant though.

so you dislike it for more than the fanservice, which is fine. different people like different things.

my point is it all comes from the same source. it's shaped by japanese culture (with a shot of chinese in this case), same way western (anglo) media is predominantly shaped by hollywood and disney. it's absolutely normal to dislike certain themes, genres and tropes, but the same thing what makes ghibli movies so good is putting panty shots in chinese cartoons. that doesn't mean it's in everything equally or even should be, but there needs to be an understanding you can't have one without the other. "fan" in this case is accepting there are parts someone dislikes but at the same time someone else does, not making up rules what should and shouldn't be allowed or trying to redefine it to make it more palatable to someone's individual taste.

I'd say both Vault quest and "Moby Dick" fishing event quest story are somewhat of a let down. Former still has loose end and latter just rushes last one third of story - feels really abrupted. Although, I'm surprised that they have fully voice-acted for all side quests contributing to "Moby Dick" event.
 
Despite my disinterest in the holy hoe, phoebe has actually grown on me so I don't regret pulling for her as much as I thought I would. As a character I like her hell of a lot more than Carlotta despite how much the plot tries to push her.

And I already got twenty pity for Brant so fuck it, I'm getting them both. I haven't studied their kits too much but I hope I can make a Zani/Brant/Phoebe team since Phoebe apparently needs another spectro character (thanks to whoever said that here) and I believe Zani is spectro.

For HSR I did some half assed pulls for Robin but I'm under no illusion that I'll get her. Oh well. Boothill in Divergent universe is a hell of a lot fun. Getting boosted by Sunday and Fugue and Aven gives him the power to skate over everything with one of two hits. (Certain blessings and curios help too)

For genshin it's just been hoarding time. Not much. I mean I only have 2.4k primos but it's doable.
 
I used some of my Willow fund and ended up squeezing one extra portrait for Anjo Nala. Luckily, I can Limbo a part of it back. Also took a quick look at how the new permanent mode works and it looks fine so far. 1800 Clear Drops are also pretty welcome too

Look, I am not stupid. Fanservice will be in these, no discussion. I dislike how it is usually implemented because it's implemented badly. It's an equivalent of jingling keys right in my face, and each instance drags me out of whatever tiny treshold of immershion I had by reminding me that creators don't consider me a cogitative human being with an IQ over 80. I hate it when motherfuckers don't even try.

Maybe these came from the same source, but the execution is uncompareable. Miyazaki knows how to do shit and has an artistic vision. Producers of ecchified slop just churn out slop for the sake of it. Sometimes certain slop becomes popular, usually when the source material had some figment of merit, which makes it less of a slop.
