Okay, normally I don't like "fanservicey" designs, and I still don't like Varesa's animations (except her burst, her burst is cool), but the people whining about her are such faggots. "OMG, her shorts are so short, such goonerbait! Genshin is turning into a porn game!" Meanwhile Mona, Kuki, Beidou, Raiden, etc. have been around for ages. This isn't a new development, if you're going to criticize the design at least stop acting like this is a brand new issue. I agree her design isn't great, and I don't think it fits Genshin all that well, but she's still cute and I don't care. I didn't like her very much at all initially, but the people griping about her are so annoying that I've started to like her out of spite.

If you think about it, none of the typical complaints are a new development. People don't like a character design because it's "fanservice"? That's what sells the characters. People hate something about Lantern Rite's voice acting? It's basically a requirement now.

People sending VAs death threats? At this point the possibility of receiving death threats should be included in their contract.

I'd argue it DID get goonerer after ZZZ, especially with Mavuika having ass jiggle in her walk animation, but people are dumb and forgetting that genshin always had gooner hsit, with some simply being more subtle than others.

Ganyu is kinda wearing nothing. Fischl is wearing transparent lingerie. Rosaria is basically "goth sexy nun cosplay". Collei is actually wearing a "virgin killer sweater". Citlali is only wearing a black leotard with a towel wrapped. Clorinde is wearing a tight corset (like navia) and has the "boobs too big for buttons to hold back" which is another fetish trope (that Topaz also has in HSR). Eula has the thigh strap pushing against skin giving a sense of "thiccness" that is explicitly one of the hoyo artist fetishes (srsly they said so on a honkai 3 patch stream).

Even Ayaka, who has a fairly tame design, can't do a jump in place without her skirt lifting for a panty shot. It was always fetish stuff.

Characters having physics isn't fetish shit lmao. You never saw people claiming this shit about older games that had less physics where you could see character's underwear if the camera was a certain location. Yes I know sick fucks are more widespread n CURRENT YEAR but genshin character designs seem to just be standard fantasy shit, albeit more detailed.

I dunno I genuinely can't envision a lot of genshin characters as gooning material unless you severely distort their characterization and appearance (which gooners do and yes it is terrible please stop tainting search engines when I look up vidya character to show examples of appearance)

Genshin doesn't have ragdoll physics, it has frame by frame animations on everything so Ayaka skirt lifting is not a accident. Yelan for example doesn't have jiggle physics when running, while clorinde has on every normal attack.

I concur that Genshin IS relatively tame and has top tier designs but your words prove it has good plausible deniability, mostly due to good reputation and marketing as a zelda-like. Lisa's japanese VA will moan while climbing but in a vaacum she is just a pretty anime witch. A bare foot is only a fetish if you see it as one.

ZZZ doesn't have that luxury cause it's a lot more openly horny. If Varesa released in ZZZ with the same design, she would get called gooner bait much harder.

There are 100% ragdoll jiggle physics in genshin, for someone focusing on a characters ass jiggling you also neglect that's the kind of physics used for that in video games. More really obvious non ass cases of physics like hair or parts of clothes moving even when you're standing still. Seriously run in a circle or something in game and then dash in a different direction, everything just ragdolls backwards for a sec.

Yes, there is ragdoll physics when on stuff like dead mobs and grass, not on live players. Everything will "ragdoll" backwards cause it's animated to move backwards. Kazuha and Venti produce wind that moves grass and pulls items but doesn't move players.

You want a game with actual physics? Street Fighter 5 has unreal engine ragdoll physics so stuff like hair will move automatically and freak out and clip through shit.


Another fighting game, Guilty gear xrd and strive, doesn't have this issue because it has no "physics", the whole 3d model is animated frame by frame meaning hair and stuff moves exactly as the devs want.

Genshin is like guilty gear to avoid hair clipping. This is very obvious if you simply jump with ayaka fast and look how her ponytail (and skirt) has completely fixed frames of animation.
 
Even HSR has jiggle physics, but they're extremely toned down compared to ZZZ. But what about WuWa's? Hell, us female Rovers have no pants...

Anyway to join on the Genshin coomerbait debate. Debait if you will.

Genshin has appealing designs. Pretty ladies with appealing outfits but they are generally tame. Sure people show skin but compared to what other anime gacha games do, the girl in Genshin are Muslim women in comparison.

Which is also why the censored outfits are laughable because the coom was barely a factor. I can concede to the suggestion that they might appeal to specific fetishes but I'd make the argument that they do it very subtly.

To my knowledge, only Mauvika and Rosaria would push the boundary to this. Maybe Chasca too depending on who you ask.

So while the girls are titillating, they are also "classy" compared to their peers if that makes sense. That is why I find the nuns screaming about Genshin being coomerbait in the west beyond ridiculous.

All the above applies to HSR. I'd argue the fanservice there is nonexistent outright unless you want to make a case for Dommy Mommy Jade or something cringe. Bronyas skirt barely covers her snatch if memory serves but no one cares.

People complained about Acheron but again she's pretty tame.

ETA: I'm remembering this weird English star rail ad I used to get featuring Jade going all ASMR horny milf to drive all the boys wild. It was awful but I'm pretty sure MHY knew exactly what type of fetish they were appealing to when it comes to her character.

Which is what it is, gacha gotta gacha, but I do feel like it does a disservice to Jade's character as I find her motivation and characterization super interesting considering she's one of like....three morally ambiguous and shady playable female characters alongside pre-neutured Hanabi and Kafka.

Phoebe gameplay rambling if anyone cares, spoiler because long.
But TL;DR: Spectro Rover is a must have right now for her and always play in Absolution state. She's pretty good at dealing AOE damage.

Absolution state (main dps mode) and Confession state (apply spectro frazzle mode).
The slim gold bar (Prayer) between forte gauge and health bar is automatically regen after entering one of the state. There is nothing you can do to influence its regen rate. If the Prayer bar is full then below
Enter Absolution by holding basic attack. Enter Confession by holding resonance Skill button.

Enter one mode will not allow you to entering other mode before entire forte bar is exhausted. In order to exhaust entire forte gauge, you have to use a powered up Heavy Attack which can be used right after Basic Attack 3 or a successful dodge. This powered up Heavy Attack is also Phoebe's main damage, you can keep Basic Attack and Resonance skill at level 6 or something. Mainly leveling up Forte Circuit and Liberation.
In Absolution state, powered up Heavy Attack can be used 4 times before forte gauge is exhausted. Confession is two times.

Without Spectro Frazzle dot debuff, they are 4614 damage per instance. Total 3 instances. Yes, I did not type wrong, it's 4614 damage per instance. A 4-digit number damage.

With a total of 9 pectro frazzles, they are 18409 per instance.

With only 3 Spectro frazzles and Spectro Rover resonance skill resistance shred, 20454 per instance.

Basically, you need at least one spectro frazzle dot on a target in order to do big damage with her. Otherwise, she does pitiful amount of damage. Spectro Rover is only can do that right now.

Phoebe resonance skill, it's the glowy circle in the image. Once put down, you can't relocate it, you have to wait for entire duration/cool down. Pressing resonance skill again if Phoebe is outside of circle, she will teleport inside it.

Other extras,
Phoebe outro skill does a lot of damage, but you have to make sure be in melee range to swap. If an enemy is far away and you swap, Phoebe will activate her outro damage skill faraway at previous location rather than the new "right in the face" swapping in.
Despite being a rectifier user, her BA3 can mining ore pretty good. Entire laser beams will delete multiple ores if they are lined up.
Phoebe's basic attack can parry, but very short range. She parries with her staff, not her laser beams, so still need to be in very close range and good timing.
I can't believe it, Kurogames tricks me into getting a whore. I'll sue them and demand a refund.

It's not like when in action, jiggle physic is noticeable without zooming in and slow-mo kicks in. It's juvenile just for small breeze or movement to jiggly them up.
