Doesn't excuse the literal days it takes to do, but back then the game was during its popular phase so you had normies speedrunning the content. There's also a ton of story quests and world quests added in over the past 2 years and new regions added, so it can be overwhelming.

Each LL stack determines the hits the LL does. For Duke to active fully, you need to do 8 FUAs. So in order for Jing Yuan to activate it, he needs 8 stacks.
