5.1 MSQ had no business being that good.
I can appreciate MHY remembers what is the supposed grand scheme of story rather than just travelling for fun because someone tells you so.
Chapter 3 is somewhat neat for making traveler less of a stand by and tag-along person. Like few moments connecting thoughts in Sumeru or early Fontaine "ace attorney wannabe".
I'm just having some minor annoyance with how the game being inconsistent on traveler action or their capability in certain parts. There are times you can feel traveler has their input and there are times traveler is "oooff, I guess they try their best".
Remember how cutscenes can show traveler can sprint, dodge and even super human strength (thanks to vision power) in Jade Chamber rebuilt - Shenhe against Beisht and the cutscene against mech-Scaramouche. But oh no, in Cyno story quest near the end, Cyno has to grab traveler's hand to run. That's cute and considerate of Cyno but.....
Fontaine where Navia fell and Traveler is still unironically using physical trait to help and failing, rather than using vision power and glider.
Then Natlan had few moments to praise such feat Traveler has made during their journey.

Different team for ZZZ, but I really like this whole moment. But rewatching it makes me feel like this.

Motorbike, their handles, the throttle is on the right side. In game cutscene does show this, then during the riding and emotional moment, the character is holding a cube and still her bike is still going at full speed. It's ruined!!!

Chapter 4, I actually dislike the hot air balloon part, especially the last one where 4-5 minutes travelling on it and doing nothing beside "Oh no, this is so sad". Thanks Paimon, really thanks, I wouldn't understand or know you didn't say it out loud.
Also, this one I can't believe they did it, it's so funny to me and contrasting the whole situation. Natlan may seems whatever African, but I guess it's starting be more like Burgerland. Yes I know there are chubby NPC before, but this time no one can't accuse MHY of fatphobic.

I had to do that one twice because my connection dropped for quarter of a second half way through and the thing just despawned. I really wish they would stop making everything server-sided and start doing whatever ZZZ does to make movement and combat so responsive

I phased out and fell twice somehow on the balloon
Now that I think about it, why didn't Hilichurls shoot down a giant floaty thing? They can't be that dumb

2.6 stream for HSR is today. Make sure to grab the codes since they expire in a day.

Phase one warp is new character, Parappa the Rapper, along with Dang Heng IL. Phase two warp is Acheron and Aventurine.

Since I didn't get Robin thanks to Yanqing, I'll be getting Acheron. I highly recommend her, along with Aventurine if you don't have them. I'm interested in Dang Heng's LC, but I use Aventurine far more so his LC is more important. Acheron herself doesn't have that many options in terms of LCs, but Good Night and Sleep Well is a good alternative if you don't own her signature one.

Also, 5 star Tingyun drip:

"We're going to buff elemental reactions, but Crystalize will still suck." Geo BTFO, as always.

Also completed Liyue and so I'm en route to Inazuma. Any advice before I get my ass kicked?
Inazuma introduces you to the Rifthound family of enemies. They can apply a bleed status effect when they hit you, even through a shield. If you haven't invested in a healer yet, now would be a good time to start. Barbara is a guaranteed free character if you complete her permanent event, and she works just fine.

It might be worth your time to do some fishing in Inazuma. There's a Fishing Association representative on the northwest edge of Inazuma City who sells a polearm called The Catch. The Catch is a 4-star polearm with the ability to boost elemental burst damage and elemental burst crit rate. It can take a while to catch all the fish required to get it to refinement level 5, but it's a good polearm, especially if you haven't pulled anything better from the gacha.

One of the Inazuma world quests is time-gated by real-world days, which makes it an absolute pain the balls to complete. At least it used to be. They may have patched the time-gating out at some point, in which case disregard this.

On the first island you visit, you'll eventually find a tree similar to the one in Dragonspine/the ice mountain area. As you explore Inazuma and open chests, you'll get electro sigils. If you feed those sigils to the tree, you'll unlock rewards like gacha pulls and such. Among those rewards are buffs that apply when you have one of those little Electro fairies following you, the ones that let you use the ziplines. I forget what they're called. The buffs aren't game-changing or anything, but they can make exploration a little easier. It's worth going back to the tree periodically to unlock all of the rewards.

Hearing from someone who started the game late makes me once again wish Genshin had an event archive like Blue Archive. Blue Archive lets you replay some of the more significant previous events. They strip out the gacha currency rewards and minigames, but you can still play through the event stories, and they still give you the event welfare characters. I know file size is already an issue with Genshin, and I know FOMO pays their bills, but surely a company with MiHoYo's resources could figure something out. My favorite part of Inazuma was the Golden Apple Archipelago event with Fischl, Kazuha, Xinyan, and Mona, but people like DenseDeerFather won't get to play it.

Got Xilonen in genshin, she's very pretty and fun to use.

+Her rollerblades last longer than yelan's dash and have similar speed, also only 7s cd.
+She can jump high with it and she wont get staggered on long falls (still takes damage but seems less)
+She climbs much faster than Kachina but seems to burn fuel faster to compensate.
+She generates 4 particles on skill use which is kinda insane for a 7s skill.
+Her ult heals 9 or 10 ticks for a long duration with good scaling from little i tested. Mine is level 70 has 2k speed level 6 and each tick heals 3.5k.

-She can sprint on rollerblades to move at wanderer jet speed but it lasts like 2 seconds, not worth using unless you're following fuel balls in natlan.
-Her burst is single target heal so she's not that synergistic with furina on practice (need more testing)
-If there is less then two pyro/cryo/elec/hydro her shred just stops working and her ult doesnt heal making her terrible for mono geo, dendro and anemo comps which is fair but lame. Especially cause her C2 solves the monogeo problem..

It's weird how she feels limtied but is also somehow the most flexible geo support, you can put her on any team you'd use anemo VV.

btw i found this code with 60 gems and 5 exp books get it while it's not dead kiwibros

A tall Gyaru with Jaguar kemonomimi ears is hot.

Same here. While the original 1.6 was charming, I found it better the second time around before Sumeru. You'd get your gacha currency and get lore on characters like Fischl during the second archipelago. Nowadays the summer events are just minigames with character cameos and little else.

I'll certainly be waiting for Aventurine, since I already have E2S1 Acheron. Then all I will need is a good breaker and I'll be set on teams for a bit.
Rappa works around break. This is her kit after v4 beta. I don't understand it well yet.

That leaves Boothill and Firefly as breakers, and maybe Feixiao? I prefer Firefly because I dislike Hunt characters.

I forgot to add that in 2.6, past event LCs will become available.

Speaking of FOMO, I don't really have the time or money to throw at one character (Xilonen). I still think it's interesting how she and Ororon have drastically different personalities from what their designs suggest. Even Natlan itself is a lively, vibrant place, with the war themes more embedded in the story conflicts and worldbuilding. In addition, the South American/African/Southwest US themes feel pretty fresh to me. Although the tech isn't congruent with, say, Mondstadt, it's easy to attribute that to "magic rocks" and "war land touching creeping abyss."

Basically I don't have the games nor do I plan to get any of them but I can still appreciate what MHY is doing with their games' presentations.

A lot of people dislike Natlan tech level because it doesnt match Genshin's general "fantasy vibe".

Monstat is old german windmills and vaguely european knights, Luyue is a chinese port filled with myhtological animals, Inazuma is samurai and kimono land, Sumeru is half desert lost technology and half forest matrix tree, fontaine is steampunk and schneznya has magical anti-vision tech that drains your life.

Genshin futuristic tech was always high fantasy but then Natlan just hits way too modern for the sake of it. Surfboards, Drills, rollerskates + DJ turntables, pixelart gamer watch and now Chasca comes with a big overdesigned revolver (like it came out of honkai impact 3) and mavuika will allegedly use a motorcycle.

Guns are especially the thing people have the most aversion in fantasy settings at all, despite real life being more unrealistic than fiction (guns were invented before rapiers).

Yea a common complaint I've seen is that Genshin is losing its identity as a game, especially with Kinich's everything, Ororon's design having obvious emo influences, Xilonen's being very gyaru, plus her trailer featuring a modern concert stage, complete with that DJ turntable, working lights and a functioning screen behind her. I've even seen variants of "they put a ZZZ character in Genshin."

They're not wrong.

I'm kind of mixed about it. Genshin and RWBY put me off for a long time because, besides it being a gacha game, it had this Mabinogi vibe that I never cared for. However, looking into game, the writing and direction themselves aren't that good- but the game itself has great ideas about the world probably being a simulation and all that entails, with fiction being more reliable than non-fiction, symbolism and references having legitimate functions for recording true history and indicating what something actually is, etc. The lore is creative and intensive in a way that RWBY's is not, so I can see why people would be concerned about Natlan being so different. That said, I don't know much about MHY's track record, so I can't say what the odds are of them losing track of what they're going for.

Out of all NPCs in that video beside Vichama, only the wrestling girl (1:23) and Aekor (2:58 ) are the ones I immediately remember. Aekor at least because he and the Sumeru lady (his wife) was part of daily commission achievement, helping their daughter if you do it perfectly.
2:47, after talking to the green girl, the purple one is/was her physical trainer. At this point, I feel like whatever Iansan or purple tribe is probably a bunch of gym or fitness enthuasists.
2:25, literally two guys made sacrifice so Citali can be "permanently" dozing at the table in corner.

If you wanna compare Genshin to RWBY. All I can say is, one definitely has more effort, does not suffer Western attitude of "I can do better than the original source/author" and "Oh poor me" dismisses criticisms as whatever toxic. Of course not without faults, having to design both gameplay and story section on a strict schedule. There will be some bad section for the sake of gameplay set piece or cinematic. Lore wise for a live service game, nothing will be concreted, lots of thing can vague whatever, then people sets up their expectation too high.
I don't remember much, I'll try to squeeze out what I remember being "Eh, Idk about that" or "bad".

Sumeru was nice because it incorporated many playable characters as part of story. Making a side NPC less lame, Dunyarzad. Unfortunately, Collei gets shafted for Dunyarzad with Eleazar illness.
Fontaine, prison part is just bad. Chapter 1 near the end, but the part where the guard turns into water right on the court. So how did that happen to him without contacting primordial water? Don't tell me, it's just conveniently right on timing someone let him drink the diluted version offscreen. Also, first time Navia meeting Traveller and treating them with cakes, somehow sitting in next to a corner - wall, no one notices food was stolen... Wow, Traveler surely proves their heighten sense of awareness the surrounding.

Since Fontainians aren't/weren't really exactly human with their origins. It's a custom for a newlywed couple praying the fountain to bear children. That isn't a suspicion btw, only after entire Fontaine archon quest, people don't really have to anymore.
Fontaine.png
During the limited event in 4.3, this part, wait so having an affair in secret and got pregnant before entire Genshin Fontaine events, I guess even someone can forget about the lore.

Vision power being granted for whatever the reasons, that is really like RWBY now isn't it. How they really work, like how Childe's was malfunction because whale and so can be kept by Traveler entire time. While if vision works normally, in Keqing case, it always come back to her no matter what.

Not sure if anyone knows about this, there is a hidden world quest by interacting the crafting bench at this location. Instead of going into arena of stadium, you go left to outer ring, pass the bartender and one more downstair left.

I was right at pity and got 2 Xiolens so I decided to get C2, took like 90 wishes total but I was at 72 before. Should be able to C6 Nahida and maybe Hu Tao too.
