Reading through this thread was like a lovely time capsul reminding me of all of the highlights that this silly chink game has had throughout the years. I wouldn't have thought there would be this many actual fans on KF.

Has anybody actually attained the Platinum medals in the Thorns and Crowns event because it feels overtuned as a motherfucker and had me swinging at air earlier when trying to max it out

thanks for reminding me of this without tryharding it this is what i got I'll try for plat on the first 3 now and actually read what each buff does lol

Yeah nah for the middle one they seem to want me to play Raiden national or something and my raiden is on EM hyperbloom build and i dont really care enough to shuffle my build around.

Yeah recent content on Genshin and ZZZ has been very difficult to make whales happy. Just aim for the silver medal at x4 and stop caring, 20 resin gives more mora than one gold+platinum challenge

It's one of the few events where they up the Plat diff since middle of Fontaine. Like the one before Natlan release where bunch of difficulty modifiers for World bosses. Unless your team are really well built and have some investment in it (constellation and signature weapons), it'll be sweaty or no go to get Plat rewards. I have no Kazuha nor any proper VV shred built to help either.
Wave based and mobs, so more time wasting with not grouping all of them "properly" and their "spawning".
You aren't the only ones having problem though.
R/genshin on first day and Hoyolab - scroll waydown for comments, it isn't easy lots of people. You can even see videos in hoyolab, their Arlechino is C1R1 and Kazuha is C2R1.

At least for me, this thread talks about the game itself whether it's bad or fun time. Not the usual how modern days gaming is bad yada yada yada,.... outside of popular social sites that is. I'm aware this is a "gossip" site, but at some point I'm not sure whether people actually have fun laughing at stupid stuffs or "perpetually upsetting/dooming" at stuffs.

imo you can't eat cake the whole time, and especially since natlan genshin got even more into desert territory (although remains to be seen how much of a rug-pull 5.3+ are gonna be), that's why I like wuwa as a palate cleanser.

no pulls for tax since I'm saving for rollerskate botan and shore keeper.

I have guarantee for gyaru Botan because I was going for C6 Chevy, but stopped at C3 because losing 50/50 on current banner. Also, saving rolls maybe for Chasca, waiting to see what kind of bow gameplay she is.
Since Wuwa new patch is coming, I need to get a mood to try. Mostly I'm still okay with current Genshin, lazy for another open-world and irl stuffs. But if I try (have fun that is) and have much better luck than Genshin. I can go f2p with Genshin.

I'd say so far, luck is better for me in this game than Genshin. Although, losing that 75/25 weapon rate is kinda bummer.


ZZZ stuffs, ramblings not actual story spoiler, just Caesar, a bit of story and contents.

New chapter is fun, some important and emotion moments near the end feel a bit quick in sequence. A tiny bit more lore drop about Wise and Belle too.

Caesar is big boost to long time on field dps characters (S11, Neko, Ellen, etc...) more than burst dps ones (Zhu Yuan, Corin, etc..). Durable shield, long duration (1 min vs 30 sec) comparing to 4* shield and actual interrupt resistance unlike 4* shield. More convenient requirement to activate shield too (less field time).
Since this game actually more varies in character models. Caesar is huge, she's as tall as tall male NPC.

There were probably too many complaints about TV, so TV section is obliterated. TV is only kept for Hollow zero, small limited time events and few exploration mission modes now. So far, exploration missions are neutered hard. Losing some uniqueness, but probably for the best.
Ambush Shiyu Defense node, basically the second "endgame" mode rotates every patch now. Focusing on not dying, but having two Thanatos is BS without shield or Jane's double dodge.

A bunch of "wild west" people living without modern infrastructure in outskirt after decades of a environmental disaster, using "NPC" as an insult.

Edit: I find it's hilarious that they have zero EN voice actors appearing on this week special program on Genshin. Please, keep going on strike and get no job to you. Truly showing passion and love to "the fans".

You can finally make teams and switch time of day at will (it will also give you hints as to what may happen). You can also choose to control an agent while exploring, but I only can control Wise, so I don't know...

I finished R1999's story, and I've been enjoying playing with Lucy.

That chapter was actually peak. I just pulled Lucy today and working on getting her leveled

The limited time primos reward, for Natlan exploration, is there for entire patch 5.1 to 5.2.
Completing archon quest act 3 and 4 gives 500 primos.
Free Candace in Nahida's birthday event.
New coop event, combat focus.

ZZZ big change is starting from current story chapter. There will be no more TV section gameplay anymore. TV will be used much less, only in limited time events thingy. Exploration missions are neutered hard, there are only like two of them this patch. As they say, they try to optimize TV section more (thinking of more fun way to play) and "soon" removing TV in previous chapter main story.
Even rogue like game mode has a new mode, Blitz version, removes entire TV gameplay. So faster weekly runs, 10+ minutes comparing to usual 20+ minutes per run. But you get like less resonia (buffs) amounts in that mode.
Losing somewhat the soul and style of the game, but imo probably better in long run. The only improvement they probably need hotkey/keybind button for the skip cutscene thing. Since players probably replay story missions on "harder" difficulty a few times, each story missions have multiple cutscenes.

Right now, players can switch between Wise or Belle in city gameplay. Caesar and Burnice are available if players own them. Patch 1.4 is when they actually implement for characters that players have. Other than that, few neat QoL changes only noticeable if someone has been playing the game.

Finished the Belobog chapter in HRS and it's anime as shit which is fine. The ending kinda made my moral-faggot side raise a brow but it's not something to cringe over. The logic just confounds me. It's one of those things you just gotta roll with so now I'm farming ascension materials.

Didn't really sit right with me that Bronya decided to cover up for her loony, alien-possessed mom so as to not "make people lose hope" because Cocolia (whose name is not actually Cordelia as my tism wanted it to be) "was a beacon of hope for many people and beloved by them" so she should be remembered as a martyr who sacrificed her life to save the world and not the raging lunatic who tried to destroy the planet and its people for "a new world".

...Except the Silvermane Guard whose pleas she neglected and the Underworld people whose community descended into death and disease and poverty because she cut off access and left them to die.

She flat-out calls them "lowlife scum".

Then again, she was possessed by the Stellaron and it turned her into a crazy cunt but the conclusion feels like a cop-out because "muh hope" and "Muh Preservation".

I think the Preservation god-thing even flat-out states that people have abandoned the principle because of Cocolia's fuckups.

But hey the music was nice and the cutscenes were awesome.

Cocolia is just a recycle villain from other MHY games, same with "thinking doing what best for everyone but not". Cocolia wasn't possessed, she was either "gone mad" (fully aware) or corrupted (not really aware) depending on how one sees it.
Belobog, more specifically entire Jarilo VI had been already in Eternal Freeze for hundreds of years since the first Supreme Guardian. A "deal" with Stellaron to fight against Legion, mind you entire planet also got cut off communication in those years too.

Lets say hundreds of years putting faith on Aeon of Preservation, nothing really gets better and the whole planet didn't have much time left. I'm not envy of such burden on a person. Tell everyone the truth, do you really think entire Belobog gonna believe Bronya? Like no suspicion of usurping the position? How many people lives were lost for hundreds years of Freeze and fight against Legion and Fragments? Suddenly a new person in charge, also from same higher up is somehow more trust worthy than previous one? But most importantly, "Sorry we made the wrong decision from hundreds of years ago" and everyone will be doom in one way or another (Cocolia sped thing up) if it wasn't for Trailblazer help.
There is a chain side quest that involves a previous Supreme Guardian. It was a turbulent politic time for Belobog, probably even the worst period.
It's not being nice, forgiveness or whatever. It's holding and rebuilt an entire nation together if you forget the planet won't be recovered for another like centuries. Until Topaz that is....

This isn't typical American reality president show for last couple of decades. Or even old ones with their scandal. Where people can access whatever old or new info on mainstream media about their leaders. Portraying certain leaders as their best for their country isn't new. Especially only having one party/ideology to serve entire country.

I explored more of Natlan today and it's making me remember why i like genshin, while on the other end i can't stand honkai star rail whole werewolf plotline and the Luka event that never fucking ends. I think i'm actually not finishing an event for the first time in that game.

At first i thought changing perspectives was cool cause you get to, ya know, actually see the world outside of the MC and there is no paimon but it feels like the yapping never ends and something a main quest that should take 30 minutes somehow takes 2 hours. I did kinich quest today and it apparently everyone hates how short it is but i liked it.

And in a random change of subject, out of curiosity what are your characters in genshin? I'd like to get an idea but feel free to flex



Xianyun C1 was a regret, i was frustrated with the game and dumped all on her before quiting. Navia was also only because a friend kept pressuring me to get her, she's still ungeared so i regret a bit, even if i heard she's strong. Kaz is my favourite so i dont regret his C2. Ayato was a lucky 10 pull on his release.

I've been playing since the beginning. I have an affinity for collecting husbandos, but I feel like I've actually got an okay mix of interesting characters and don't have any character pull regrets, only regrets for characters I didn't pull. I always buy welkin, and often buy the battle pass but not religiously, and I have only paid for primogems to the tune of about $75. I've been saving for the next Zhongli rerun so I can finally max his constellations out, because he is my favorite husbando.

Out of curiosity what are your characters in genshin?

Here's mine, my luckiest in terms of pulls is definitely Mualani where I got her and her C1 in one 10 pull, because I'm cursed where my pulls always reach around the high 80s before even seeing a 5star, with very few exceptions. I missed Yoimiya for 3 straight banners because of my shit luck. Most recently, Dehya ruined my chance for Arlecchino for the same reason.


I do somewhat regret pulling Klee, but this was back in v1.6 and I got her right after Eula (I was a tard and didn't go for Kazuha the first time), so I did use her for a pretty good while. Got lucky back when I still cared to pull on the weapon banner and managed to get Staff of Homa for Hu Tao.
