I find myself conflicted. Do I finally bother rolling for Kokomi, having skipped her every prior run because I really don't need another healer (and I have Yelan/Xingqiu decently built for Hydro) or do I go for a Ganyu constellation and make my murdergoat do more murder?
Either way, apparently I'm on a 5-streak on winning the 50:50 so when I start rolling on the new banner I'm expecting pain to happen. Definitely going to watch the Discord and chuckle as the salt flows while people beg for help getting every last primogem so they can still fail to roll a 5*.

In your exact situation, I went for Kokomi without any regrets. For several cycles I've been noticing the need for a hydro healer in the abyss for my Ayaka freeze team. I've even brought Barbara a few times because it's either her or Diona, and I see some value in having the skeleton of a freeze comp with only 2 required characters. Plus Kokomi is really cute and I've wanted her ever since she was a just a leaked character model named Mimi. Too many 5 stars are just sidegrades or temptations for completion's sake, but anyone that would actually open up new options is worth considering hard to me.
I think I'll still roll a few times on Ganyu to try to get Dori, because I'd much rather get a constellation for her than Kokomi if I get a low pity 5 star. I'm not gonna try too hard unless Dori is really good though, because she's rumored to be free in 3.2.

So I rolled a 10 pull on Ganyu's banner, got Dori, then stopped pulling and thought about it some more. Ended up deciding to go for Kokomi, because why not. Might as well pick her up even if I don't really use healers or AoE freeze teams. Did another ten pull.
Got Kokomi. At 26 pity. The 50/50 streak continues. Now I really want to go for a Ganyu constellation too.
Dori feels like a bit of a swiss army knife of a character. Her burst heals based off of max HP, deals electro damage in a line scaling off ATK, and also regens energy. She's going to be potentially quite handy in a team that struggles with energy, though I have no idea how strong she is and aren't sure what artifacts to give her yet. Though, I am most disappointed that her run is the generic midget run instead of just chilling on her genie.

I rolled for the sailor fish girl and lost to Diluc C2, haha it's funny because i'll die without getting Jean wont i? Didnt even get a single dori either, only xq and sucrose who are c6 already.

Kokomi is usable on electro charge and bloom teams too, both off and on field. Hydro is a premium element that enables everything so she's easy to get value.
Dori is so weird that i wasnt sure how she's supposed to be built but her trial demo gear was just what i thought (except for the set).
1-Sac claymore -> Passive gives flat energy on skill cast -> double cast = double energy -> no energy issues
2-ER/HP/Healing bous -> ensure she can heal strongly often (demo was healing +5k)
3-noblese set??? -> i guess they want her a healer burst bot but her dmg is miserable. I'd give her 4pc emblem or 4pc exile for the ER.
The real problem with Dori is how the chain is too short and her energy generation is low. Like, 6 ticks of 2.5 is 15 energy. Is that it? You're better of with fischl or someone holding favonius, unless you really want an electro healer that isnt kuki. She's not completely bad for a 4* healer tho, definitely usable . Since she gives flat energy, she might be a good partner for xiao.

Got another Keqing, but it was only on 45th roll, so I still had enough rolls left to get Kokomi after that. It's a good thing I don't care for any Sumeru NPCs.

What is going on with this banner.

this is nothing to the 3 yoimiyas + 1 qiqi I got in 15 or so pulls.
also fishbarb is great, easy turret/heal at c0, her constellations only buff her burst, so can be easily ignored if you don't care about it (similar to turretbedo).
I'd grab ganyu c1's and then stop, but it's still debatable since you could get the res-shred via an anemo char with VV depending on your setup. personally I'm saving for dendrololi since she's probably OP like all archons, at least for a while, but also gonna look how much else I need for the whole dendro reactions at this point and how much migoyo is pushing it, maybe even to the point to replace the 2 years of vape/melt.
didn't look too close at dori, and going with the trial setup is usually pointless (it's usually a sac weapon so you can try the burst as often as possible), from what I've seen she's beaten by kuki if you're going for hyperbloom or dendro reactions in general, but I think that's her intended use, so keep in mind she'll possibly get better with more dendro chars.
late reply, but as others have said you cap it simply by doing your daily chores (which take 15 minutes, and extra hour or two on monday to get the weekly stuff done). if you do it right you don't even have to craft furniture.
think I did the math somewhere earlier in this thread, but from what I remember it's 675 exp per day: burning 150 resin, 4 commissions, login (ez), 10 ore (via expeditions) - stuff you're supposed to do every day anyway. that already gets you halfway there. weekly stuff is doing bosses/leylines/domains - the exact same stuff you use your resin for. rest is small stuff like "forge 20 ores/cook 20 foods/1000 pot currency" which takes literally no time at all.
fun fact, you simply can't do everything since that puts you over the cap of 10000 exp per week. I usually skip the "buy 2 things from a pot vendor" (because fuck you running minutes through other peoples pots to see I already got all the discs), furnishing and boss weekly (since I already got all the mats I need). only do furnishing since it's easy fire and forget if I don't do leylines either.
as for mats condense that resin, which means you only have do to 4 domains per day. with a good enough team each round takes a minute or two. of course that means you have to do "twice" the amount to get your 15 weekly domains (instead of 15x 20 resin it's 15x 40), but each of the bosses except wolf count as domain too, and since you can skip bosses at some point you can use that resin for that.
leylines you usually want to stick with the normal 20 resin. why? because the enemies drop shit you want
even the talent domains have an end at some point, depending how hard you wanna push your chars. heck 3/4 of my chars are 9/9/9, and I'm slowly stopping because I'm getting talent stuff for inazuma/sumeru chars via the BP anyway. after that it's all artifacts...

Started playing again. Current team is Xiao, Raiden, Xingqiu, and Kazuha. It's honestly pretty fun to use but I'm so used to my usual combo of Xiao, Chongyun, Xingqiu, and Razor that it feels weird.

My gambling finally "backfired" and I rolled Cyno while going for Candace...twice. I know the wisdom is "don't roll for 4 stars if you don't want the 5 star" but I didn't expect to win two 50/50s at ~25 pity each. Though I may be a waifufag, I don't think I'm going to risk any more spooks going for Candace, which I don't even have any plans for other than collection.
As a former Razor main, I think he's pretty fun. My friendship team of Collei, Cyno, Kokomi, and Dori actually works pretty well together
I'm also coping hard telling myself that I didn't screw myself out of an easy C1 Nahida by blowing my predetermined luck early.

Fellas if the weapon banner is an evil ploy to bait naive whales and prey on gambling addiction, why do i keep winning?
I wanted elegy for the end and boom, got it on first pity 65 rolls. Not that cyno spear is bad but i dont want him right now. The only "bad" weapon i have is Atlas and that's only cause widsith is too good for a 4* but this is still more reliable. No dupes yet either.
As always, reminder to not fall for gambler anedote. Never roll on weapon banner unless you're lacking in 5* weapons, could use either choices and it's a GOOD and safe weapon banner.
Rolling for 4* is the only true unreliable thing on the game and the pity is a farce. On practice you have 50%/3 = 16% when you get a 4* and you might never get the one you want. My brother rolled +100 on cyno, lost to tighnari, got kuki c5 (from nothing) and sayu c6 (from c2) and NO candaces.
But have you seen nahida's leaked kit? If it helps, her C1 is very weak and c2 is her best con so if you're gonna go all in, go for 2.
Either way i personally found her kit very boring and underwhelming. You basically use skill to pull a camera and snap photos of enemies, making them so she does dmg off field and her burst is a large area that only serves to buff her skill and give EM. Other than the camera novelty, it's not mechanically unique or something i think only an archon can do.
Her burst also literally doesnt work without pyro/hydro/elec teammates so she's the most limited archon compwise by default. I hope they change her during beta or i might give up and roll for albedo instead.

this is completely reasonable imo, dendro doesn’t work with anything else anyway so it’s not a huge deal. she’ll also likely be the best dendro support for a very long time, if not just the best period so she’ll be worth it.
if the leaks are true her c2 is broken and i really expect it to be either nerfed or swapped with her c4. if it ends up staying the same i’ll probably end up trying for it. i’ve been saving for quite a while so i have around 200 wishes for her.

I love him but i want to save for potential yelan too since i already had everything prefarmed for her only to lose 50/50 and save for Kaz c2 (no regrets tho). I'll at least wait for next banners which are (allegedly) Nahida + Yoimiya and Childe + Yae miko but then again, multiple leakers kept saying Eula would come this patch but it was albedo instead so i dont trust them. Eula might come next patch and i'd like to get her too...
Also, i feel like albedo is only here so they can pair Primordial Jade sword with Nilou's weapon as weapon banner bait.
My problems with nahida are that
1-The other archons are nowhere as limiting as her who is literally the only character in the game with a potentially disfunctional kit. You can put Venti in dendro teams, put zhongli on freeze teams (i've done it against triple herald) and put raiden on itto triple geo (my brother 9* floor 12 with it) and they still offer value. Nahida's skill only procs on reaction too so you cant even slot her as a filler flex subdps like albedo.
2-Nahida burst gets nothing from dendro allies which is stupid since dendro reso gives EM which she wants to stack. There is straight up no reason for her burst to work like this, i'd rather it be weak than depend on allies.
3-Nahida isnt even that great of a support anyways. Her aplication is 1.9s (less with burst + elec), legit worse than dendro traveler or collei and she gives more EM on her (200 if she stacks 1000 em) to 1 character on field. The ONLY thing making her unique is a 100% uptime free dendro aplication and eventually we'll see dendro characters who can match that.
Like, Nahida isnt a support, she is a DPS. Only her skill does dmg and her burst buffs the skill. Yeah she gives EM but that's a bonus and not unique. Dendro trav, collei and sucrose (whole team) do that already, and collei can hold elegy. Meanwhile venti can lift mirror maidens, zhongli can petrify through shields and raiden gives bonus burst dmg to the whole team for free + universal battery.
I'm sure she will be """meta""" cause mihoyo will push her super hard but without c2 she simply isnt special and her kit IS flawed. Like, nahida isnt the best with cyno because you cant switch him out to mark new enemies but she also isnt the best with nilou cause her aplication is slow and no matter what you will lose burst potential. Unless her damage is super insane, you can do her job with free 4*s which is sad.
Even if her core kit doesnt change i hope they at least make her less limited as the beta goes. Raiden for example was VERY different on her first beta and it made no sense. She had Elec acension, her katana wasnt burst dmg and she had no shogun stacks so she was way weaker and couldnt even use her own artifact set.
So yeah, i'm rambling but i'm also confident they will change her over the beta, hopefully for better.

Just sheer force. Melt their shields and kill them. Upgrade everything that can be upgraded, espechially artifacts.
