New abyss with a bunch of sumeru enemies, it was surprisingly fun and had 20-30s to spare on first tries, a lot of weak mobs spreaded around so if you have kazuha or venti they're gonna pop off here.

Obviously not the most optimal comps but goddamnit, now i like Ayato as much as Diluc and i want to use them on abyss no matter what, even over ayaka. Zhongli really helps with Primogeo and grass boss and i freeze is good against mobs (thus ganyu+kokomi) but i dont see how this abyss was supposed to sell dendro or tighnari. At least for now, they're not pushing dendro that hard.

i was worried when i read there would be slowing water and cryo cages again but having them as auras on certain enemies rather than floor-wide things was actually pretty manageable
overall probably one of the easier abyss cycles imo

i actually tried using electro/dendro but my electro teams aren't built very well. i was able to clear the first few floors with them but my damage output for 12 wasn't high enough

What's your gear for Ayato? I've got the same peeps but I'm too slow from 11-2 on.

Are you using the same exact team? If you have venti he can probably take kazuha's spot too. My ayato team was

ayato 89 (2/9/9): Jade cutter 2pc HoD 2pc shimenawa ATK%/Hydro%/CD -> 2365 atk 93cr 194cd 112er talent: 2/9/9
ganyu 89 (10/9/9): Aqua simulacra 4pc bs atk/cryo/CR -> 1899 atk 56cr 242cd 145er (helps ensure she burst off cd)
Kazuha 90 (2/6/6) [C2]: iron sting 4pc vv EM EM EM -> 944em 122er
Diona 80 (2/7/10) [C4]: no weapon?? 4pc unleveled nobleses HPx3 -> 22.5k HP 112ER ( I forgot collei borrowed Diona's R5 sac bow, no wonder her skill didnt reset lol)

All weapons lvl 90 ofc, general strat is diona q -> ayato q -> kaz and ganyu e-q -> ayato skill -> cycle at random i dunno i mostly spam big aoe bullshit. 12-3-1 took a few retries since the mirror maiden and cicin mage are VERY far and the maiden would warp out my bursts.

There are obvious flaws here (ayato hybrid, ganyu overcrit, diona unleveled, kazuha low er, etc.) but it was enough for me. I could've used ayaka over diona but i wanted to play safe on first run. If you're still stuck for 11-2 then you're either not fully invested and/or not geared well to 9* floor 12 but try clearing it anyway for mora and books.

Speaking of, I've only recently noticed, that specters now can be sucked in by anemo.

I posted here a while ago, they nerfed their hp and removed pull imunity on arquipelago patch, probably cause they're annoying as hell and all around the islands. It was also another indirect kazuha buff since they were one of his few weakness, now they're argueably weaker than slimes.

btw next patch they're adding new elite bandits (archer anemo woman and geo punch dude) and also new egyptian robots that turn invisible, with a new boss like primordial array that turns invisible (or 3.2 i'm unsure). You knwo the fun thing about that? That Yae miko is the only character who will target invisible and burrowed enemies (like ruin serpent). So yeaaah, dont be surprised if she reruns soon.

I stopped playing for a while because the dailies got old, doing all the material shit I need every day gets old, and the battle pass is awful (make 10 furniture, fucking really?). When I'm done with the chores, I don't feel like playing anymore.

The gacha sucks ass too. Grand majority of the time you just pull useless trash. Game also gave me characters like Kokomi that are 100% useless because I'm not far enough to upgrade them.

Am I approaching the game wrong?

Kind of? There's not much you can do about the material grind, all you can do is pace yourself. (I usually sit down to play for a little less than hour after work while listening to a chapter from an audiobook.) The best part of the game is exploration every time a new area is added, so I don't think it's wrong to just play every few months when that happens.

As for the gacha, if you're not spending money, only pull on characters you actually want. The game is not that hard, there's no actual competitive content and the endgame content isn't really mandatory, so you can just focus on playing with the characters you enjoy.

But if you hate doing the dailies and the battle pass, then I guess this is really a game you'll only want to play once in a while to check the new content.

The battle pass in particular sucks. I just made 10 chairs every week to fulfill the furniture weekly, a bunch of the other weeklies have similar problems where it's either stuff I don't care to do, or stuff I don't need to do.

On another note, I'm surprised the game still forces you to show your UID in the bottom right corner of the screen, it's so ugly.

you can skip a good chunk of the weekly battle pass stuff and as long as you do the daily ones you’ll still easily hit the maximum weekly xp
i never do the furniture one and rarely do the leyline one, for example
plus it’s really easy to get to level 50 weeks before it’s over anyway so it’s not like you have to stress yourself out over every little bit of xp

I do the same for the furniture battle pass, but that and the cooking + forging battle pass quests take two minutes each, so I don't mind too much.

How do you do it? Are you superhuman?

Nope. If you're burning through your resin daily and doing your daily commissions, you're going to accomplish most of the weekly tasks without specifically going out of your way to do so (weekly bosses, resin, world bosses/domains/leylines depending on what you're farming or if you care at all about Spiral Abyss) as well as the daily tasks (which contribute greatly to progress). A couple weekly tasks take literal seconds (forging and cooking), reputation quests/bounties take a few minutes and I generally finish the battlepass with roughly two to three weeks left in the cycle.

For at least this patch, the duration of the battlepass is reduced so the amount of progress needed to level was reduced slightly.

I did it for a month before 3.0. In fact, your comment just made me realise that I've been doing it for the last 3 days from now.

Funny, the genshin BP is actually the only battle pass that i actually like since the challenges feel more like a task memos than actual annoyances to finish. You mention the 10 furnitures but originally they asked you to collect 100 lyue AND monstat specialties which is waaay more annoying and time consuming than punching a few trees to make 10 chairs.

The closest thing to a bothersome mission is the 20 leylines one but now you just need to kill the enemies not use resin so you can do 8 per day now and its a good way to farm drops. The serenitea furnishing and buying are the only ones i never do and i still have enough to spare cause i do all the others that i would do anyway since they range from automatic to things i would do anyway. It's pretty tight but i should reach the 10k cap by tomorrow.

Even then there is always 2250 xp for abyss and 1500 xp for events, some with 3x of those and if do all events you should have points to spare. I play honkai, another game from mihoyo and the BP on that game is super stresful and time consuming, thank god genshin is much more casual about it.

Has there been any leaks about Dehya's release date? Been wondering how to allocate my meager supply of primogems since there's quite a few characters I want being released in a rather short period of time.

> no baizhu in sight
he's never going to be playable at this point? yaoyao is getting out of the waiting room...
