Sooo how is hype for sumeru characters? For me it's personally

Not in the slightest. I play exclusively Noelle rock teams, and I don't think dendro even reacts with rock. (Plus I'm saving up until fucking Christmas for Albedo, because he's the one Geo character I'm missing)
I am very excited for a new area and biome, because that's really what the game needs the most.

Also apparently the next three patches (3.0-3.2) are going to be shorter. BP requirements have been adjusted accordingly (900 points per level instead of 1000)

God I wish they'd just standardize the rerun times to six months-ish, because having to wait almost a whole year for Kazuha, Albedo and Eula specifically is fucking stupid.

It's waaay worse than dendro ganyu, at least ganyu can shoot forever or be played off field with extreme ease and strenght, tinari only gets 3 charge shots per skill (12s) and a fairly mediocre burst.

Dori really isnt like kuki at all, the first pratically really wants full ER with sac clay and gives flat energy while the latter has free infinite heal and can stack full EM making her good for reactions.

I think people are massively overrating dendro traveler just like they overrated electro traveler. He has the same issues collei has but with a more expensive/longer burst, awful application and useless passives (ah yes, EM = skill dmg on a character who does no dmg and wants ER). Collei's aplication is actually good and balanced around her skill, burst, floral ring passive and C6 that gives extra dendro hit. Either way they'll both probably be trivialized by the archon so colleibros shouldn't have expected much anyway.

If dendro traveler looks good it's cause this is the first time their kit actually fucking works instead of making everything worse. Traveler will probably be good on 2 dendro 2 elec comps while collei is better for solo dendro generalized comps, especially with c6.

Electro traveler is a good battery :^)
To be honest I didn't look at Dori's kit very much, just saw that she was an electro healer release right after the other electro healer.
Yeah I'm aware Tighnari is nowhere near ganyu tier, that's one of the reasons why I believe he will be added to the standard banner. People keep saying he's good for single target DPS and it's like bro, Yoimiya is good for single target DPS. Tighnari is more like a burst DPS that you swap off of immediately like Beidou.
edit: Just saw the stream, rumors were true and Tighnari will be added to standard in 3.1

I missed a lot of recent Genshin stuff, so Kazuha has a 4* weapon that you can get from his story quest? Thats pretty neat, can you R5 it or is it like that black blade?
Also I finally "finished" (emblem set grind never finishes) building Yelan, she's pretty neato. I love that Favonius Bow is one of her best 4* weapons, getting a fat load of particles every time you press E is fun. And now I have 2 Xingqiu's I can use in abyss
Disappointed to find out her event bow is actually not great though, I already got that thing up to level 80

Love Dehya design and theoretical personality plus shes hot pun intended

Love Cynos design and I like electro

Excited to see Nahidas story

Nilou looks nice and cute

Al Haitham looks cool and we don't know much of anything about him so hes got the mystery going for him

Collei is cute but i haven't read the manga yet so im not invested in her.... Yet

Dori has a neat design and animations with the genie shtick

Tighnari seems boring but i like his design

I never use the traveler ill play around with his her kit for 5 min and put him her back away into my exploration teams after changing him her back to Geo
Edit: hes so useless to me i momentarily forgot im using Lumine and had to edit the pronouns

Apparently first banner drops are going to be Diona + Fischl.
So as much as people are going to say that Tighnari is going to be harder to get due to possible lack of reruns from being on the standard banner, his banner is an easy skip for me.

Like seriously, I already have Diona and Fischl at c6, wasn't really excited for Tighnari but bad luck all the same.

So just to generate some discussion, what are your guys plans? I'm probably going to pull for a dupe of Ganyu, getting her c1 sounds like a nice dps boost.
Other than that I REALLY need to finish my world quests, I have so many older quests from random stuff like Enkanomiya, not to mention all 90% of the hangouts still not complete.

Feeling lazy af though.

I've been out of world quests/hangouts from gathering primos for other pulls for quite a while. I've more of less gone into maintenance mode until new content. Depending on how much they segment it I may wait for all of it to be out before coming back and fully playing again

His sword 4* mid atk mid atk% (510 / 41%) that cant be refined and when you atk it does a small aoe dmg and 15% atk buff. It's not good on kazuha but it's better than a Flute and usable on jean, qiqi, kaeya or ayaka.

That event bow is good on sara if you use her. High base atk, ER and free dmg boost is all she wants. When they make a bow user that converts ER into dmg (like raiden and mona), it should be good on them too.

Currently on 20/90 pity, will roll 20 or 30 on tinari's banner hoping for a few fish/diona/collei cons and if tig rolls early i dont mind. IF tig happens early and the second banner 4*s are good, i try 20-30 on kokomi and if she also rolls early then i'll take it. I've been super busy and havent bought welkin in a week so i should probably save instead.

I only ever got Diona and fisch from the beginner banner (over 1 year ago, on ) and fisch c1 from the current event. When people say "just play enough and you'll get all 4* characters c6!" feels like a a big lie lol.

I have C5 Diona (whom I don't really use anymore) and C6 Fischl (whom I haven't used at all since the first month), so it's mostly going to be how much I feel like I want the first Sumeru character. I don't use Zhongli at all as I both avoid Geo characters due to lack of reactions and my playstyle involves dodging attacks instead of facetanking with shields.

Ganyu has been a great investment so I know I'm going to be very tempted to roll for her constellations, though I expect a repeat of Inazuma will happen with two sets of high pity that obliterate my wish stockpile. We'll have to see how lucky/unlucky I end up being.

Going to get tighnari and then wait for cyno. Definitely not getting kusnali since I don't like the little girl model. I want alhaitham but I don't know when he's coming and last but not least I'm considering getting dehya if I like her kit especially if she's anything like xiangling

Save for another four months, get Albedo, save for another however long it takes for Shogun to come back, or just take a break from the game, I'm not sure.

Fucking FINALLY managed to hit AR60. Is it necessary for anything, no. Do I half expect them to raise the Max AR at some point, kinda.

I’ve been rather upfront in viewing Genshin as a Character Collector between Content Drops. I’ll probably roll to try and get any new characters - I’ve generally had decent enough lick on my 50-50’s, so it usually balances out.

That or I’m too used to FGO kicking me in the dick on Rate Ups that this still feels like a breath of fresh air…

Like the guy above Genshin is a character collector for me i try and get every new one and lvl them to 20 for a free acquaint fate unless i decide to build them for one of my teams like Yelan (replacing Sayu) recently for my B-Team with Xianling, Raiden, and Bennet

Gonna pull for Collei and maybe go for Tighnari while racking up starglitter cause I already have C6 Fischl and Diona on my A-Team with C6 Razor

Then I'll be skipping Ganyu cause check already

Pulling for CEO GEO hes the only Archon Im missing thats out currently might build him not sure if he would be good on my team plus thinking about it Diona is actually nearly as good as him with better reactions so prolly not

Can't wait for Dehya might build her if shes a good Xianling replacement

I been missing C6 Diona for a while but I dont want to accidentally get Tighnari. He doesnt look interesting to me at all
