I hope someone eventually makes pirate servers or at least a way to play the game offline, not cause i need it but cause genshin is a genuinely great game and it would be a shame if it disappeared from existence once the servers closed.
Genshin is basically 4 person breath of the wild with elemental combos, if you take the gacha it could still be played like a solid singleplayer adventure game where you "unlock" new characters by exploring or something.
Btw they're extending ayaka banner but with no ending in sight

I'm NGL, I kinda wish this was the Ayato banner. But apart from that, anyone who wants an Ayaka is in luck. I had to. Social Media on a whole was a mistake, all it did was make everyone fucking retarded.
Genshintubers and the Genshin Reddit both annoy me - mostly from how much they preach for the Meta and getting Max Crit on everything. Do these faggots not realize that this is basically a single player game - there’s no PVP, outside of Optimal Abyss Teams (and I’ve beaten Floor 12 with a VERY far from optimal team (Zhongli, Raiden, Qiqi, and Miko - yes I hate myself) who gives a rats dick about Meta in a Single Player Game?

I agree, after 2 account bans (for unfair reasons) & enough retardation, I just gave up.
I only watch Mtashed in clips, & only sometimes watch & mostly prefer Tectone. I don't really care much for meta honestly, I haven't even done the Abyss after Floor 3. I don't even have a Raiden since I was saving for Kazoo & the only regret being not getting an Ayato (thus the whole "I wish it was Ayato that got extended"). I just care about having the slightest fun in this game.

I’m in no place to judge, I’ve only cleared Floor 12 because I got Genshin’s Plat for doing it. 0/10, would not recommend without serious amounts of autism/masochism.
Least the delay will give me time to save more for the Yelan/Itto/Kuki fund.

I still haven't 100%ed the whole fucking world yet I can take breaks easy I've been completely enjoying the game outside of any kind of community or anything. I just wish the pot opened back up (without the collision glitch being patched because thats literally the only way to make things look presentable sometimes and world buildings reused in the teapot don't follow the same collision stipulations.
Closest I've come to interacting with "the community" is buying a custom 3d printed vision someone made off of them last year or so because I liked how it looked. Only cool gameplay and talk with friends for me, thanks.

Came in to post this. Love the 240 days on the timer. Genshin has the most elitist fanbase for one of the casual game ever, i blame it on youtubers and theorycrafters creating this culture that has to compare powerlevels. It's funnier that genshin itself is full of anti-competitive mechanics like rng loot, rng draws, pay to win, time gated characters, permanently missable weapons, limited resources, etc..
btw btw ayaka banner was changed in game to say it will end before the 2.7 but thats it
C2 is a big commitment (potentially over 300 wishes) and Ayaka's best con is c4 so i dont recommend it unless you really love Ayaka and will never stop using her.
Look at what type of character or weapon you're lacking and save for that. There is Yelan/xiao + itto coming next with a very good weapon banner (aqua+PJWS) and later Kazuha who has VERY GOOD C1 and C2 (i'll attempt) and later dendro characters so keep those in mind.

Tectone is an absolute whale, & he makes retards of the retard chamber known as Western Genshitters seethe (at least the Twitter ones). I very rarely watch him, but the salt makes it fun to see.
I saw that notice on the banner, & it makes me sadder that the Ayato banner died before this. I was tempted to go for it but it was too late.

Not gonna go too much into it because we have the community thread, but Genshin really doesn't suit long-term content creation so that's at least partially why every Genshin YouTuber sucks.
Mtashed is sunk-cost fallacy personified. He jumped the gun, over invested in Genshin, and regretted it because he didn't understand the endgame loop until it was too late. Now his Genshin videos outperform anything else he's ever done so he's stuck playing a game he barely enjoys because it's best for his finances. I understand him getting burnt out, but I don't sympathize when he's a victim of his own bad decisions.
Tectone has a knack for making the community seethe, but he himself is a massive drama whore who starts crying whenever his own nuclear bad takes get called out. (He used to argue that pre-buff Zhongli was fine as is... because he whaled him to C6.) He's also burning out and rails against the game, but is still putting hundreds of thousands into Hoyoverse's pocket because he has no personality aside from "loud" and "has a gambling addiction." If he was actually concerned about the game, he'd stop mindlessly pouring money into C6'ing every character, but he sucks ass at this game so he can't make cahn-tent without a crutch.

I’d be more annoyed by the Great Content Drought if I didn’t only really play for about an hour a day to do Commissions and burn my Resin, least when there weren’t Events to run through. Honestly, only funny take I’ve seen is memes regarding how it should’ve been a Raiden Banner with an Eternal Duration.
Honestly getting a Resin weekly makes me wish they’d add in same form of Daily Login that wasn’t just the Welkin. Resin regens so goddamn slowly, and our only way to get Resin outside the BP is through the Pot - I’d gladly take that upgrade

given how china is going full retard in shanghai, I doubt mihoyo even has the ability to create a new banner from home, let alone put in an old banner if it's not automated. I assume an event is just another flag to set, which can easily be done if you're literally locked in your house.
still regens fast enough that you have to log in twice a day to not let it cap tho. they could easily put in a higher cap since most people log in every day anyway for the commission primos....
