I dont know why but i cant reply to half posts here for some reason. Regarding the new skins, they already said they're changing the cutscenes in 2.5 and the official banner art in 2.6, and i think those changes apply to everyone not just china.

Amos is broken with ganyu, as in, it's actually "broken", because the bloom AoE counts as a "delayed arrow" so it always has at least 3 stacks even at pointblank range. Considering both the arrow and bloom count as charge atk dmg, they both get multiplied by the bonus and the bow effect. It's a broken synergy, no bow will ever match amos for her.

And since i'm here, i finally started the lantern rite and i wanna ask, are the devs pushing the "moefication" of keqing super hard or is just me? I have keqing and her lines unlocked, and i always liked how she's a really confident revolutionary who doesnt take shit from nobody, not even gods. Then moonchase turned her into this shy flower who cant even talk with xiangling and lantern rite makes her an overworked waifu (genshin loves those huh) who stutters at the idea of watching fireworks with someone.

Gotta sell that new skin i guess.

Honestly this is fucking ridiculous, basic human anatomy gets censored now. :stress:

Meanwhile literally hundreds of Chinese gacha games with giant tits everywhere without a problem.
Guess we're not getting any fanservice in the future, since we'll be playing with colorless blobs at this rate.

Like seriously, grow a fucking pair Mihoyo.

It may be that it's the more popular/widespread games that are drawing the eye of the government; the Chinese version of Azur Lane had lots of characters and their art completely removed from the game some time ago, leaving the Japanese/international versions intact. I have no knowledge of any other games that've had forced changes due to government demand (not including genshin).
Edit: Apparently, Girl's Frontline was also required to censor by government demand.

Yeah, I get that and I understand that they have might or might not have choice or leeway in the matter but it gets to a point where it's just ridiculous.

Like... It's basic human anatomy, shoulder-blades. Why censor that? It makes no sense other than Mihoyo going full overboard on the whole censorship dilemma.
What's next? Wrapping everyone in a fucking towel and wearing burka's?

The point I'm trying to make is, I get that they had to censor lewdness in other games in China, but in this case, it's literally just backbone and basic human anatomy, nothing lewd about it, yet they still decided to censor it, which makes me wonder what the hell are they going to do next.

It's just so stupid. :stress:

Only example I have off hand is the Chinese version of Fate Grand Order, where every Chinese character was censored. Something about “not portraying Historical Chinese Figures inaccurately” - which have you seen Fate? - and instead of redesigning the characters DW just gave the Chinese version default models and sprites for all the characters that were affected.

fwiw the shoulder blades on fischl (and lumine I think) just look off when sprinting, maybe that's why they changed it.
it's part of the anatomy, but usually it's not as pronounced when you see someone run around, and looking good > being realistic.

kekqueen was always portrayed as tsundere-autistic constantly being busy. it's part of her waifu-appeal, there's a reason one of the biggest theorycrafting sites is named after one of the worst damage dealers in the game.

There is a difference between being a dedicated worker and "it's my burden to be overworked". Keqing's lines make it clear that she doesnt like procrastinating and the sooner you get your job done the more time you have to do something else.

You have ALL the npcs talking about BALANCE between work and life when one of keqing's line is "I'm all for work life balance but this is pushing it" and another where she says "Our work is done for today, where do we take a stroll?" Now the game tells me Keqing somehow cant balance her life?

The idea that she's also "too shy" to meet the adepti and wants the traveler's company is also funny, when she calls herself "too straightfoward" and says she likes you because you dont give a fuck about the gods in her own lines. She says they might not recognize her but it's bullshit since all them do since she the Yuheng who fought with them.

Altho the event is not over yet so we'll see how it goes.

Apparently that was a bug (the gacha and genshin reddits were freaking out lol)

I didnt comment on this before cause i know rosaria and others with exposed backs still show their shoulder blades so i dont know why they would censor ning but not others.
 
I finally got my Ganyu!

I also managed to get a C5 Yanfei along the way, along with a Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds through free standard wishes, which looks like it might be her best-in-slot catalyst. And I should be able to guarantee her to be C6 through the event that's going on, assuming I don't max her out incidentally looking for Zhongli. So I guess I'm playing Yanfei DPS lol.
 
Burned around 50 wishes on Ganyu and to my great surprise

Guess I'll wait to her next banner rather than whore out since none of the four stars really interest me and I still don't feel the urge to go back to playing regularly

Now I have Zhongli & Ganyu. Alongside a C6 Yanfei. I'm not summoning for next year at this point just because how broke I am.

Also, I'm using her at LvL 50, with a LvL 50 Stringless & shit Artifact. Yet she makes Beisht her bitch. Specially with the Zhongli when I can attack the fucker inside it's attacks.

I swear they fucked with that, got curious and counted my rolls, took me fucking 84 rolls to finally get her. the 4* are nice if you still need them, XQ is basically water bennett, fitting anywhere, beidou is a fun character and fun to play, yanfei is nice pyro dps if you don't have klee (bonus if you have dodoco tales).

also noticed got cucked before that by diluc with 80! rolls on the kokomi banner. <insert raging frog picture>

she can't, that's the joke. same way ganyu is basically a voluntary slave and ning never makes a joke. GI doesn't have the deepest or complicated characters.

don't think it's shyness, more like autistic "how I'm supposed to talk to someone about anything when it's not business related". the kind of socially stunted workaholic with work being all they know.
and every character wants the traveler's (girl)-dick of friendship, it sometimes feels worse than an otome game.

Xingqiu. I've already got C6 Ning, Beidou, Xiangling and Yanfei; I don't use Chongyn, Xinyan or Yun Jin, thus leaving Xingqiu as the only useful character with constellations to improve.

Edit: Fighting Dvalin with Ganyu feels like kicking a puppy.

I've just got her some hours ago & fighting ANYTHING with her feels like stepping on ants. Specially with Zhongli involved.

haven't even started the event yet, still need to do the quest as well (kinda lazy the last weeks with my genshin chores)

in general I prefer char > constellation, but I already got all of them this time. pondering to grab yanfei c5 or slowly start building another one that isn't in the shop rotation and won't show up on a banner soon-ish..
