story was a bit iffy, there's fanfiction that doesn't foreshadow the inevitable "twist" that hard. at least it wasn't overly long, some other parts give me eroge flashbacks where it just feels like endless filler dialog (new event is a bit guilty of that too).Did any go through the new island? It's a decently ominous area for Genshin standards and I dig it. There's some time-gating and Groundhog Day fuckery that makes the questline a little annoying, but it was cool overall.
puzzles and setpieces were pretty nice, the devs so far are smart enough/willing to put enough effort in it to change them and add stuff, not just endless repeats of the same ones over and over.
don't mind the timegated quests tbh. what else you gonna do besides burning resin, commissions and events? might as well spread it out over a few days when you log in twice every day anyway.Haven’t really felt much need to go back to the island since finishing the quest and wanting to get the extra furnishing sets/primos. I am looking forward to that new wolf boss. Even if the boss is gonna be a bitch to fight without archer/ranged characters, it’s animation and design looks cool enough.
what annoyed me more was the reset itself, I'm the kind of guy who explores every nook and cranny once and them moves on. having to do it several times in case I missed something or something unlocked was one of the reasons I didn't keep up with the quest (I understand why devs do it, like getting more value out of existing assets, but still...).
there's also some stuff that unlocks afterwards (of course), you might wanna give it another visit at some point. no hurry, it's probably it's "final" state just like serai after the quest was over.
