Tried the stygian one last time for funsies before the update. Took me 20 minutes and... Yay.

No matter what i need mavuika for papilla so the only way to beat turtle was freeze but i need furina so i had to find a way to kill cactus without it, nothing else would work. Cactus took me many resets as it kept surviving with 5%< hp, so i put aqua on yelan and it fucked my energy so i had to retry until it got the funneling and rotations perfectly. I fucking hate starting with no energy.

This will probably be the last time i ever beat level V on stygian as i sure as hell aint rolling every new shilled unit and i will be skipping flins, lauma and nefer (shoutouts to every new enemy having a nodkrai gatekeep mechanic).

I'm fine with it. Raiden being useful after a long time benched was nice.

New 6.1 leaks rolling out btw. It's very clear Arlechino will rerun due to the bond of life abyss blessing + pyro normal buff. The other reruns are allegedly furina and zhongli. This new boss is looking to be high cancer too.

I guess it's wallahi for me cause i dont want any lunar dps right now. There are also zombies and the npc looking legend who resurrect at max hp unless you bring 2 nodkrais so it's gg for me.

Can anyone explain this ugc thing to me? I thought it was something entirely separate from Genshin where you'd just be able to use the game's assets. Now I saw a leak screenshot showing that you'll be able to use your ugc character in your Genshin team? Does that mean Hoyo will funnel some of our primo income to that new mode and require us to play it too? I'm honestly not interested in that mode at all.

That's fucking gay if true.

Small thing I noticed recently is that if you're dousing for material, the game shows you which characters can locate material in that region.

E.g. I'm dowsing for Bennett's ascension flowers, so it told me all the relevant characters in Mondstadt: Mika (owned) and Klee (unowned). I could swear this is new.

BTW which 5* dupes are yall aiming for, assuming you're playing daily to get them anyway.
Honestly, not a clue. None of my characters are even remotely close to max constellations... (besides hero). Wonder if it'll let me pick Aloy and break the game.

Black Beacon has yet to fix the end game issue. So we have gone an entire cycle of a bugged emgame mode. Note that this mode lasts for like 20 days.

Jesus fuck.

Also finished the 2.2. quest. Meh. It was more overblown melodrama with a sad, mopey villain having a revenge boner that killed her. So Trigger's quest.

It was kinda bugged at some point. They forgot to add the voice filter during the climax to Magus. That happened.

Also Isolde is dead as fuck. As it turns out, she's a Sacrificer too. Because of course.

Fuck her boss fight btw. I am generally not a fan of the whole miasma bullshit that certain bosses have because it feels dragging, nor am I a fan of the constant counterattack spam some bosses have.

NOR AM I A FAN OF HER INSTA-KILL. She fucked Seed at some point. Which is apt, I guess. She played second fiddle to her own patch lmao.

Honestly I'm kinda over how everything in the plot revolves around the Exaltists and the sacrificers because now it no longer feels like it's just people dealing with their own stuff. It all has to tie back to that stupid ass cult.

For as much as I liked 2.1, it too had that exact same bullshit too. The entirety of 2.X feels like it's just playing Scooby Doo with the Exaltists and it stopped having fun with itself.

And of course, the one dude of Yixuan's faction that isn't playable becomes evil.

Also no new Hollow to explore. Fuck off.

I think it's just sunk cost fallacy that makes me come back like an abused ex. I'm beginning to groan at how the game has evolved gameplay-wise, and the story is literally repeating itself over and over.

I'll pull Lucia when she gets out because it means Manato and she gives me Ganyu vibes, then uninstall because Yidrahi or whatever Tentacle girl's name is sucks ass from a design point.

If I lose the 50/50, too bad. But I have something to work with in case I ever go back.

Watch 2.3. also revolve around the Exaltists because go fuck yourself.

Going from other leaks, it's a completely separate system within the same game client, separate gatcha currency, separate rewards etc. The only thing is that the player character you create to represent you in the UGC mode can be imported into Genshin to replace the traveler if you want.

Now it's time to save for the Eva collab. I suck at saving but now it's time to hunker down.

(One dupe and the two free cons from events)

Still loving the game, only irked I've raised my rank twice and I still can't unlock the next area yet.

I got enough permit rank to finish chapter 5 just an hour ago, and it slows down everything again. You do unlock the level 5 hard mode stages that give you mats to unlock Y1 (gamma 1) mats, but those aren't huge power spikes. Level 41 for mechs is a new big thereshold (>+100 hp in one level) and it costs 20 boxes at once.

Still loving the game too but the anxiety is getting me, i need to stay a few days just sweeping and leave, go finish silksong or something.

Oh yeah, i think the final stage of chapter 5 is the first time the dialogue goes to shit and it sounds like a drunk people talking.

("Sad to be disliked by beauty" is kinda hilarious tho)

6-1 still looks good again, but we'll see how often it drops...

BTW the nodkrai gates are open. This is literally the first thing traveler says once i start the quest

You're right paimon, it does seems pretty important to not have ever mentioned it before! No traveler, i don't think "i forgot" is a good excuse.

I'm already afraid of how this will go, there is no way people skipping into nodkrai will understand the story at all and hoyo REALLY wants you to skip to nodkrai because they're giving 620 extra gems for finishing the main quest.

Weird as shit hearing the Traveller actually talking. If this was part of the deal to chase off the former Paimon VA I’m fine with it. Even if the whole Spaceship plot pivot we had a few patches ago is still retarded.

Also picked Mizuki with my freebie 5* Pick. She’s not good, at all, but she’s the only Standard character I didn’t have and trying to pull a specific Standard Character is laughable.

15 minute of nodkrai first impression

-The start of this story is extremely contrived as it's Traveler remembering something ultra important never mentioned, then seeing a moon spirit thing and following "to see what it wants" while Ineffa has to lore dump nodkrai since it was not foreshadowed.
-The aesthethics feel like fontaine underground with a bunch of metal stapled together making it look like a fallout map. The first city has a ton of tall buildings.
-I do not understand how moon energy works at all. It simply powers up machines and has red or blue color so i can only see it as "magic magnets".
-The artifact vendor is named "Reko", he is north ot he first warp, found him by chance.
-You cannot walk 5 meters without seeing a plant that turns you into a fast seele-like thing for a few seconds so you can move faster . Better get used to it cause the map is huge.
-I met 3 new enemies who boil down to "I am going to be super strong/near immortal/resurrect unless you play my gimmick" which already makes me depressed for exploring as i have to switch teams and try hard when i see any of them.
-There are light fatui soldiers and they do the russian step thingy. Ay ay ay.
-You can use 20 or 40 resin, condensed is now 60 resin and THEY ADDED THE OPTION TO DIRECTLY SPEND GEMS IN DOMAIN INSTEAD OF RESIN

1757476396749.webp

I know the choice to convert gems to resin was always there but putting it right there where i can even click it by accident is messed up...

edit: there is a prompt to confirm but that wasn't my main issue, it's having it shown at all. It reeks of desperation/greed and makes Genshin look like a thrashy mobile game who keeps hinting you to spend money. You know kids, dumbos and newbies who don't know how to read/think will waste primos on domains.

Nod-Krai's starting area reminds me of the underground town from Star Rail, under Belobog.

Also Dori is here, but what is this pose lmao.

Edit: Damn it, Hoyo. The plot of Nod-Krai is going to revolve around that damn made-up spaceship, isn't it?

I pulled all I had on the new banner, hoping to get Nahida, but instead I got Mizuki. Again.

Unless Nod-Krai is filled to the brim with them, I am going to have to do a first for me in Genshin, and buy primogems directly if I want the radish and anyone on the chronicled wish. I had hoped getting borh the monthly and the battle pass every time and earning currency by playing the game would be enough but I guess that was a bit naive.

Somehow pulled Lauma on both main and alt accounts in one 10-pull but not her weapon. No repeat of Natlan launch this time I guess. I'm torn between saving for Flins and trying to finally secure a copy of Dehya's weapon because my brain damaged self wants her to have it. The nod-krai magnet gimmick was initially confusing but I'm starting to vaguely get you're mostly looking for a red/blue glowing thing and finding the nearest other colored thing that gets you within line of sight of that thing to push/pull it.

I encountered one group of enemies and read the tutorial blurbs about how to defeat them and then proceeded to Mavuika burst and spin to win them to death like I do most mobs so... great? I'm sure the bigger elite enemies aren't quite so easy.

Tossed my wishes into the void, got the Tiddy Centaur after almost hitting hard pity, as expected. Just started the 5.7 Archon Quest so a few days before I can get to Nod Krai.
