Goddamn, I look away from this thread for a hot minute and you guys somehow find more increasingly retarded and cringy Genshin fans for me to laugh at.

It’s absolutely amazing how easily this game attracts the most exceptional of individuals compared to every other gacha in the market.

What kind of mental illness is exasperated by a silly anime game? I'd guess a gambling addiction but that doesn't require meds or make you THAT crazy.

Also lol genshin characters wearing revealing, fantasy versions of old chinese and japanese clothes is ok, but a brown-skinned oc wearing revealing fantasy versions of old South Asian and Arabic clothes is racist. One day artists will learn to just laugh at these people.

I am pretty sure that there are still cringe in other gacha fandoms (but then again, what did you expect from a "fandom" anyways). They just self-contain it as far as I know, but some known ones are AL and AK fans being hostile against GFL fans, the latter two having to deal with the fact that a VA change ruined their character, or the fact that GFL as a whole is run by a hack that has no idea how to pursue a franchise properly and is running several projects all at the same time like a monkey on steroids while the players themselves are too deluded to think about it because "Sci-fi Halo but better with gun waifus".

To be fair, none of the gachas you mentioned exploded in popularity the same way Genshin has. Genshin is the only gacha that consistently goes trending almost every 5 minutes on Twitter, which plays a big factor in how easily it attracts cringy nutcases compared to nearly every other gacha in the market.

In a way, for every retard you see in a fandom for another gacha, Genshin will likely have multiple more.

far, far bigger than most gachas and even aaa titles, seemingly. i suppose the wide range of systems it's on simply contributed to its popularity in comparison to other games, and thus attracted the worst of the worst pc gamers and whatnot. i know for a fact i wouldn't even glance at it if it was on anything else, so that's my personal anecdote.

i suppose the moral of this graph is that the bigger the something is the more retarded people it culminates
