Genius thinks hip-hop is struggling to accept Lil Nas X’s homosexuality, even though coincidentally, this comes off the heels of them almost destroying DaBaby’s career after his recent comments about HIV/AIDS affecting gay people.

I'm not familiar with Lil Nas X outside of Old Town Road which was a bretty gud song. To me it seems he couldn't repeat its success so he went balls deep and made GAY GAY GAY GAY his central (and only) thing for some reason, similar to that gay nigger furry faggot fighting gamer Sonicfox.

This line might be a warning, that Jessie is mentally unstable and might do something stupid. James follows up, commenting that he’s mentally unstable as well. He uses the word double as a hint that he’s just as unstable as Jesse.

In another interpretation, trouble might be a name for a coffee type in some sort of hipster cafe you probably never heard of. Jesse is ordering a trouble, while James wants a double trouble! You better make that decaf, or you’re going to grow a bit anxious and unstable…

Their 2020 redesign, made only to cram more ads in a mobile UI on desktop, ruined their website. Everyone hated it, and the higher ups refuse to listen to their userbase.

The site redesign has been very contentious with the community since it was soft-rolled out last year (the -323 is the upvote/downvote score). Here's a video they made showing it off.

About a year ago, staff decided to introduce the song page redesign incrementally, with only logged-out users having the new design. Their plan was to have it done within a month, but they've left it in this weird limbo where some users have the new layout and some don't. That aside, users fucking hate the design, and people are still commenting on this thread. Apparently it's supposed to increase "engagement," but it's more likely so they have extra space for ads (which is how Genius makes most of its revenue).
