If that's the case; I understand, but am quite disappointed.

Dolph is never gonna get a serious push from WWE. Not after how many concussions he's had, not after Daniel Bryan's latest concussion, and certainly not when WWE's in the middle of a lawsuit about their lax treatment of concussions. Even if WWE attempted pushing him again at this point, they'd drop it in weeks at most. Dolph has been so thoroughly damaged by WWE's repeated burials of him, he'll never be taken seriously as major player by fans again. Even in an era when everybody knows it's fake.

People also know Pokémon are fake. And I'm pretty sure they know Team Rocket has a better chance of turning Pikachu into a fur hat for a mob boss's wife than Dolph has of spending any significant period of time out of the Wade Barrett Position.
 
Dolph is 34 years old and not a particularly good technician in the ring. He's great at selling blows and cutting promos but that's about it. Staying with WWE was the smartest move he could ever make because he's never going to be a gigantic international darling like an AJ Styles and why not get a steady pay check. At least he still gets to do a job he loves even if he is a midcard talent, which is way more than most of us can say about our lives.

I can't imagine getting covered in poop on more than one occasion, being given a stupid name after a snit as a male cheerleader, having to sell for the Miz's Figure Four, and being cut off at the knees every single time your career has some forward momentum going would cause anyone to love their job. That's not even getting into the injuries and concussions.

I'm currently broke in a two bedroom apartment with a car rappers make fun of and a job moving with the momentum of a stale horse turd. I wouldn't trade places with Dolph if there was a free blowjob thrown in from Stephanie McMahon.

Selling's one of those things modern WWE just doesn't have room for: like grief over a loss, time off for injuries, wrestlers making eye contact with the camera, or continuity.
 
Ziggler's "oops I got hit with a cattle prod again" selling is just as bad as Cena's no-selling. Neither get how selling is supposed to work.
 
He's a pretty good worker but I don't know that he really elevates the people he works with in the way that a great worker can.

That's not entirely a fair comparison. The Flairs of the world had to have heat before they elevated anybody. Dolph Ziggler has less heat than Ted Williams.

I don't mean elevate their heat, I mean "can carry Khali to a good match" elevate. Should have been more clear.
