Connor def deserved a place in the Hall of Fame.
I will sound like an asshole here, but I am getting sick of the WWE milking this little kid. It's kinda sick. The poor kid had cancer.

On wrestling boards I post on it is just as sick. People pandering for likes. LOP for example, the people who post there just go bonkers talking about the little guy. It is pretty weird and off-putting. He wasn't a member of their family but they act like they knew him their whole life. Blah...

Well, IIRC, Conner (the kid's name I think) was from MakeaWish. Isn't that kinda the point of MakeaWish? To make a kid happy and to make him feel like he's top of the world?

Yes and I am glad they did that. I certainly hope you did not take away from my post that the act of fulfilling his wish was wrong. It was a great thing. But fulfilling a wish does not mean to me that the footage of doing it should be a weekly piece of footage for months. His legacy is being exploited, I am sorry I did not articulate that feeling better in my prior post.. However, I feel uncomfortable with the WWE using his image and legacy as a means to identify the organization as being altruistic and caring for those who are less fortunate.

I get what you're trying to convey. That's always kind of been WWE's thing. Say what you want about how shitty their product can be, but one thing they've always been good about is MakeaWish kids and similar organizations to it. I suppose the reason they continue to harp about it is to counteract the negative shit they get?

Honestly, I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but regardless of how they present themselves, it's still good that they do all that they do for these types of charities.

One of the more cynical people on a wrasslin board I hang out on pointed out that it looks like WWE learned from Komen about how a "charity" can make you more money.

So I tune in to the main event of Raw, and the first thing I see is the crowd doing the wave. Is this another post WM douchey crowd like it was 1-2 years ago?

Edit: Now the crowd is chanting "We are awesome!" Yep, douchey post WM crowd...

Those are there every year. We just gotta deal with it.

Besides, I'd rather a crowd speak up when being given bad product than just accept it.

I went to a ROH show at Hammerstein Ballroom ~2010 that pretty much ruled except for this one six or eight man elimination tag match with a stupid ass stipulation that you couldn't eliminate a wrestler the same way the previous wrestler was eliminated ie if the last guy submitted you couldn't make them submit, you had to pin/knock out/dq them. We started a "TNA! TNA! TNA!" chant shit was hilarious.

There's a big difference between booing a product that sucks, and chanting "We want ice cream!" because "DURR HURR, IT'S SO EDGY!"

If the crowds were entertained by wrestlers they wanted to cheer they wouldn't be as interested in shitchanting.

Most of the show they were really into. The Cena/Ambrose match for instance? They lose their goddamn minds, both wrestlers feed off crowd reactions and generally make the whole thing seem like an all-time classic. It's just that main event was shit and a return to form of hiding or ignoring Reigns' many shortcomings.

What dcip says is true, if they are being entertained it's one thing and if they're getting served up shit it becomes another.

It's apropos of nothing, but fuck it, it's insane, stupid, and I love it, so here goes:

Last nights Raw was better (except the main event) than most of the crap we were shoveled in the last year, so the chants were even more annoying. They also wouldn't let Sting finish a sentence when he came on, instead demanding Undertaker come out.

I marked out at that match. It actually made me believe for a second that Cena could lose a title defense cleanly. The only part that took me out of it was Ambrose botching the sunset flip but he turned it into a powerbomb so it was fine.

Also I was annoyed that they shortened another NXT guys name (Adrian Neville is now just Neville... soon Dean Ambrose will be Ambrose, Seth Rollins will be Rollins and Roman Reigns will be Reigns.... Then we can look forward to Balor, Owens, Joe and Itami. Fuck having two names.)

Neville
Because when you think badass, The Guy Who Tried To Appease Hitler and Harry Potter's Stupid Fat Friend.

They also gave him a cape because Vince is stuck in the 80's and for some reason that thinks "THE MAN WHO GRAVITY FORGOT.... OBVIOUSLY HE NEEDS A CAPE LIKE A CARTOON CHARACTER"

I kind of dig the cape. Like entrance gear is so underused now, and Neville pretty much moves like a super hero.

The Mighty Mouse stuff about Neville was not just a rumor. My friend working in sales there told me about this long before the rumor got out. Hhh and his talent guys wanted to bring him up long ago, but Vince wouldn't budge on actual literal Mighty Mouse. The cape outfit looks to be the compromise. But awesome for him coming up. He's so smooth in the ring and I don't believe I've ever not seen him hit red arrow perfectly.
