I feel like that's downplaying how big a deal TBS going national in the late 1970s was. I don't expect CNN not to be a focal point in the articles about his death, I'm just surprised many don't mention TBS at all. CNN wouldn't have taken off without cable. TBS was one of the early reasons people had cable, and helped pioneer the modern idea of these national basic cable channels. TBS walked so CNN could run.

Been telling you that AEW would have Kairi with Mina and she'd be doing this kind of nonsense. It would only get worse when Toni returns and she now has two Japanese women to do cringe skits with.
Marigold or Stardom are the best options for Kairi if you actually care about her career and want to see her being taken seriously.

Wait, wasn't that guy a wrestler, too? And he was underaged? What fucking shitshow is Rikishi running over there?!
 
So apparently what happened with The New Day was that WWE wanted to restructure their deals for less money 1 year into a 5 year contract and part of the agreement was that they would start winding down their in-ring careers during this time and become "brand ambassadors" by the end of it.

TKO had an investor call a couple of days ago. UFC made $400m in profit in Q1 2026 and WWE made $450m during the same period.

Imagine telling Ron Simmons and JBL no to the finish they want and then getting into the ring. Those two were always terrifying because they were fucking HUGE and one of the best at selling how dangerous they were. Shit, I'd ask "how many tables do you want me to go through sir?" Scott Steiner is a legitimate crazy person and even he was knew to never mess with Simmons. And I love how JBL doesn't deny the accusations that he was a bully. You just don't understand until you work in an industry when there is a code and unwritten ways of doing things. There exists a pecking order for a reason.

Give that Doug Malo guy (the one that looks like a short Lance Archer) his due too. He held Raja off until the locker room emptied out. If my memory is right, the guy has only been in wrestling for a year and had enough instinct to stop something like that in a supposed locker room full of veterans. He got a couple of gigs as an extra in WWE and I think he done some stuff for NWA and JCW after the fact. I don't think the guy will have any kind of remarkable career, but he deserves some love from other promotions for essentially stopping a murder.

But yeah, the fact that Raja isn't getting any real long term punishment from this boils my blood. It was attempted murder, period.
