More information has been revealed about the WWE 2K26 Battle Passes.

The graphics for it look barebones and minimal, and again it has both Free and Premium tracks:

Also, unlike other game Battle Passes which give your currency to partially or fully cover the cost of the next Battle Pass, 2K26's ones are paid only, either $9.99 each, or paying for the more expensive versions. (King of Kings has Battle Pass 1, Attitude Era has 1-4, and Monday Night Wars has all 6)

I honestly dont mind the battle pass concept, but I get the frustration after getting all DLC unlocked with the accelrator. If it's simple just play the game get 5 stars, which is easy I don't see an issue. You can just spam play now to get stuff to unlock legends. I dont expect all legends to be locked in the battle pass. Look at my rise to get DDP/Big Poppa Pump you had to do one path.

It's annoying but not expected with the way the games premium stuff works. BUT if they give us clear details of how it will work before launch determine how well it does.

Currently the extra editions just give one or two chracters. If player just buy standard or the $99 version it could help include those paywall locked get included in base game.

I'm still pissed rock 97 is paywalled by the bloodline edition even if you buy the upgrade.

2K has nerfed the Accelerator in recent years, in that it no longer unlocks Showcase and MyRise stuff, as well as all of the stuff locked to MyFaction and Island. And now 2K26 finally got rid of the Accelerator for good, as all of Legends that were unlocked with it are now on the Free track of the Season 1 Battle Pass.

Ah, I didn't realize that. I figured you always had to do showcase for stuff and they got greedy and added it to my rise. I always play show case first because I enjoy the nostalgia trip but if that's how it is that's pretty gay honestly.

i honestly don't have interest in much wrestling vidya anymore, if i really got the itch again id just use an emulator, take-two are massive Jews and I am not gonna reward any further live service slop

Unlocking stuff by playing through the game is totally okay, but the way that 2K is doing it through Battle Passes and FOMO MyFaction events are exploitative as hell. The MyFaction grind to get the Broken Dreams Drew McIntyre Persona card in 2K25 is something I'd rather not describe because of how many hoops you have to do to get it, and I don't remember if the event expired yet or not.

And given how NBA 2K Battle Pass leveling is a grind, expect the same with WWE 2K's Battle Passes.
 
I'm only getting around to watching the Rumble now because I only watch that and Mania when it comes to WWE stuff.

Are they taking the piss with how fucking terrible all of this is? The promotion with the juggalos beaning each other with light lubes is booked better than this scutter..

You'll have to give me a couple of weeks to teach some rednecks how to run the ropes but i'm fairly confident i can put on a more interesting show than whatever the fuck that was supposed to be.

I'm trying to source a bunch of black guys with dreadlocks to pretend to be Swerve Strickland but they are all getting instantly signed to NXT once they step through the ring ropes in any rinky-dink indie/strip mall wrestling school.
