Roman fucking Reigns.
Samoan nepotism strikes again. I can't wait to see him hold the title hostage for another four years.

>This Rumble.

Jokes aside, entertaining enough. They'll probably set up Roman/Punk because it's an easy story.
LA Knight had one of the biggest pops but someone already mentioned, he's just the new Ziggler
Matt Cardona's instant jobification has been hilarious. He really thought he was going to come back and be something other than Zack Ryder 2.0
La Parka was in a Royal Rumble in 2026 (Yes, I know it's not "THE" La Parka)
El Grande Americano drama will be kino.

I totally forgot the Rumble was today. Looking at this thread, bullet dodged huh.

It is funny as hell seeing people saying they wish Vince was back - Trip’s really burnt through all that goodwill he built up being in charge of NXT during it’s Glory Days (read - being a glorified Super Indie) at record speed, didn’t he?

Rey's mask cross was removed and he had to cover up his rosary tat. Anything to please the Saudis.

"NXT Glory Days" = Beating AEW in the ratings ONCE

Thoughts on Royal Rumble 2026:
- The stadium was empty as fuck. The Saudis couldn't force people to go like normal? That said, the crowd that was there was decent at making noise.

- Women's Rumble was underwhelming. A lot of story moments they seemed to rush through. Liv winning after being runner-up a few times before was nice. Liv vs Vaquer would be good, but with Liv eliminating Raquel I think they'll go the Judgment Day breakup route.

- Gunther retiring Styles in Saudi Arabia was surprising. Sucks to see Styles go with such little fanfare, but if that's what he wanted then I can respect it. I did like the match, though.

- Drew vs Sami for the WWE title was solid. Didn't feel like a big match going in, and aside from the crowd being into Sami there wasn't anything that stood out here.

- Men's Rumble was kind of a mess. Hated the Masked Man attacking Bron. What a complete waste of Bron that is, it killed a lot of the interest in the match right from the start. Big Nigger Oba looked strong, probably building to him vs Brock for Mania. The Americano vs Americano exchange was fun, I'm honestly looking forward to their eventual mask vs mask match. They passed on putting someone fresh like Jacob Fatu over with a Rumble win, which I think is a missed opportunity. Roman winning I didn't see coming at all. Like I wrote in a previous post, it only makes sense if Rollins returns and beats Punk for the title, then it's Rollins vs Roman at Mania because that's been building for a very long time. Punk vs Roman could also be the direction they go in, even though I think that wouldn't feel like a big match. There is a story there, at least.

Just a weird show. Not good.

I meant more “When the IWC declared it the Best WWE Show”, and to be fair they weren’t entirely wrong considering the state of RAW and Smackdown some weeks, but considering the end of the Glory Days coincided with AEW being White Hot (before Tony’s only planned story ran its course and his coke problem became as apparent) and ate a lot of the crowd NXT would usually attract (glorified super indie v also glorified super indie with a higher budget plus Vince Bad types)..

I'm lazy so I'm going to quote you and then piggyback off your notes.

I'm pretty sure on Saturdays they chop people's heads off in the town square in the name of their fake god so that's probably where they all were.

Oh look someone who's had the belt multiple times has won the royal rumble. God forbid fucking Kairi wins.

I will be legitimately surprised if AJ doesn't show up on TNA or AEW in the very near future. My money's on TNA. I think he wants to end his career where it started.

I have to be honest I hated the idea of Sammy having a belt until I saw this match. He gave it 110% and changed my opinion of him.
I don't think that Drew is the guy he should take the title off of. It's not his time but in the future I think he should win the heavyweight championship but not the undisputed one.

I am so sick of Roman Reigns and other coconut niggers getting everything handed to them in WWE when people like LA Knight get fucked repeatedly. If that dude has any common sense at all, he will go to AEW or TNA while he still can and Eli Drake can win a title there.
Just a weird show. Not good.
Agreed. The ending of the men's rumble really took a lot of wind out of the sails.

To me, Sami has the vibe of "Let him win the title solely so we can get a feel good moment right before a Cash In."

Bonus points if he gets the Tommy Dreamer treatment of being told to not actually put the belt on so no official pictures of him with the title exist. The most literal transition champion of all time - beat Raven for the title, cut a promo, Justin Credible beats him for the title.

Roman fucking Reigns.

Roman winning wasn't the worst thing for me, it was moreso the Breakker elimination, if its Seth which it does seem to be I now understand the inconceivable levels of mark rage Punk stans felt after Summerslam

What an underwhelming Rumble.
  1. Bron being taken out starts a peculiar angle and it seems to me that they are trying to make it seem like it was Theory or a returning Seth but fuck it - I'll guess it was Adam Pearce. Though with HHH booking it it's probably something more predictable and boring. But other than Logan getting to the final four the whole Vision angle was boring and uneventful.
  2. You have Oba Femi running riot for the first 10 minutes and then that abruptly ends and you have Jevon fucking Edwards stomping him in the corner for a while until Brock comes out and nothing happens until he gets taken out by him. So that dominant streak at the start was completely pointless.
  3. Apparently Finn Balor couldn't get a spot in the Rumble but two El Grand Americanos, a quickly eliminated Rey Fenix, La Parka and fucking Mr Iguana got one.
  4. Speaking of the AAA guys - literally no pops. Even a debuting Powerhouse Hobbs comes out - no pops. Brie fucking Bella got a bigger pop than them. It's almost like an underwhelming Saudi crowd predominantly watches WWE and has no fucking idea who these people are and having them as surprise entrances in Saudi Arabia of all places is a very dumb idea. Shocker.
  5. Brock Lesnar comes in and does Brock shit, makes talent like Ilja Dragunov look weak and pathetic and eliminates people until he's literally eliminated during a fucking YEET entrance.
  6. Brock also got eliminated by Cody and LA Knight who literally got nothing out of eliminating him and will lead to nothing. Literally pointless.
  7. Jey Uso comes out doing his gay YEET shit, then Roman comes out and beats him up, and then they forget about that and later on randomly team up?? What?
  8. They had Gunther come out to just get eliminated by Roman. Instead of letting him soak in the heat from retiring AJ Styles going into the next show they obviously needed to get Roman over and gave him the biggest heel right now (who wasn't even fit after wrestling that night) to get over on and ruin his credibility. How is this good booking?
It's so bad that the for one of the most anticipated full-of-surprises shows of the entire year the biggest pop of the night went to Brie Bella. Great job, Hunter.

Roman vs Punk is too easy. He wants the WWE title back. Drew will get his win back on Roman.

Idk guys I was thoroughly sports entertained. Some of you guys bitch just to bitch if I’m being honest.

AJ could’ve beat Gunther.
LA Knight or Breakker could’ve won the rumble.
And all the blacks could’ve been white dudes and half you goobers would still whine.

I’m cool with it because either I get what I want, or I get to laugh at twitter and Reddit complaining.
Do y’all forget how bad 2017-2022 was?
Remember when Brock won the Rumble AND the Elimination Chamber?
C’mon now.

Do y’all forget how bad 2017-2022 was?

Have people made comparisons of this Royal Rumble to things like Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Championship, and the Seth Rollins vs. The Fiend Hell in a Cell match?

Also, how much more insufferable would Jeet wrestling fans be, had they booked Jinder properly and they actually loved him?
