To a normal person yes, wrestling is fake. They know and suspend their disbelief. Just like they know that the overpaid Hollywood guy is not really Superman. But people like Raja, don't. They think Undertaker really did burn his brother Kane. There are people who really think the kid who played Joffrey in GoT is really like that in real life.
They have 0 common sense over it. He really did think that him fake smashing a can over his head is disrespect on the level of rapping street gangs. Combine that with the glass ego and his dumbshit peer pressure from a livestream chat.
I don't think it will come down to all that. They are just going to vet the people they bring in for small man syndrome and other ego problems.
Normies also think WWE is the only pro wrestling promotion as it's what they watched on TV (especially those who didn't remember the Monday Night Wars); Kurt Angle was asked by fans something around the lines of "when are you coming back to wrestling, Kurt?", even when he was still on TV, but wrestling for TNA. Some Zoomer like Raja isn't going to immediately understand that some carnie indie wrestler do a carnie trick with that empty can is just some harmless gimmick.

New Jack was actually a worker. He would at least try to work with you until you did something stupid.

Raja didn’t even bother to work. He was upset about how he was treated over an angle, and decided to try and commit a near homicide over it without any prior notice.

New Jack > Raja
I still get popped whenever someone brings up New Jack as the menace to society that no one could control, then I remember he worked at Cracker-infested Smokey Mountain just fine. :story:
He's basically "Reign of Terror" Triple H if he idolized Nick Gage instead of Harley Race.
I disagree. RoT Helmsley still had people watching to see him lose. No one cares about Moxley at all.
Please tell me the "Desu Riderz" thing is over. They're just drawing oxygen for months.
They are the farthest thing from over, and they still show up on TV all the time.
Isn’t it taking a suspiciously long time for the LAPD to issue a warrant? How caught in 4k do you need to be? Every aspect of this crime could not be more documented.
Maybe they think it's a work.

One good thing that will come out of this is that if Stu makes a recovery, he's going to be a massive face - even if for a short while. Maybe not WWE level, but the brother will never worry about not being booked ever again. Raja inadvertently turned him into the IWC's sweetheart overnight and that's the best case scenario that could come from all of this.

I could see TNA bringing him in for a residual pop like they've done in the past with veteran wrestlers and that would be cool.

Don’t be retarded.
Yeah, it's not like black suspects in high-profile violent crimes aren't frequently being treated with kid gloves nowadays.

Hijo isn't exactly wrong, but I think the police are just trying to determine if this was Raja going off script and committing assault, if this was a stunt that went too far by accident, etc.

They're likely taking their time because the victim was given severe brain damage and based on that update from his brother up above, likely only now coherent from whatever concussion/damage he had. Plus interviews with other people, like the promoter, the other workers involved, etc.

It's not like Raja is some hood rat who is going to disappear and while the case is high profile, it's not a 'serious' matter like a murder case or where the general public is at risk. I also doubt there's a high flight risk as I can almost assure you that the retard thinks he did nothing wrong.

They must have gotten a call and were told their affiliation with WWE is over.
The fatass retard Rikishi did not understand the basic concept of “don’t talk shit about your business partner and they will give you leeway when controversy hits”. Your promotion allowed this nightmare and you have been a headache for them since you can’t seem to shut the fuck up.

But in Rikishi’s eyes, sheeeeiiiitttt I’m bros with the Undertaker. You can’t fire me.

This is so funny to me coming from RVD, I listened to a clip last week from like, youshoot or his podcast or something, where he -oopsie doodle- fucked up a fan, and they gave him a T-shirt then it was all good.
Why he wouldn't get that a little beer smash, handshake, and apology, doesn't warrant an insane beating is beyond me.

I'm seeing more and more non wrestling channels covering this shit, it's gotta be bad if it's gotten to that point. There's only four other wrestling related events that rival this in how fucked up they were in my opinion: the Mass Transit incident, the Act Yasukawa shoot, the Vic Grimes scaffolding toss and the Angel o Demonico cinder block chuck to the back of the head, this leaves a black mark on the industry and as someone said earlier all it's going to do is make a bunch of lawyers very rich from all the red tape.
