I think it was pretty ballsy of WWE to actively sacrifice a match at SNME and keep one of their big stars off TV for the payoff here at SummerSlam. Seems worth it. Some fans will be mad, but only because they got worked.
and now people don’t have an excuse for why Goldberg went so long. If that was truly planned then they set Goldberg up to fail making him go like 17-20 minutes which is like 10-13 more then he could passably go in his prime.

In a way I just wanted it to be over and done with I was tired of seeing him get title match after title match by doing nothing but walk his old ass to the ring and confront the champion. When he returned in 2016-2017 that was cool everything that came after that was not

I've always been extremely neutral on Goldberg since I was too young to watch his WCW run and had stopped watching wrestling when he returned in the mid 2010s. But I actually fucking hate him after watching him piss and moan about his retirement match.

I’m thinking if Triple H would be so petty and based to book a Goldberg-Gunther match just so he can work the internet into a fake Seth Rollins injury. Worked them because Goldberg had to work an extra 10 minutes in his match.

Overall happy with Night 1. CM Punk is kind of racking up a god tier run for story and wrestling.

I'm starting to think that Punk is ok with his current run being a fanservice run it's not like 2011-2013 where he was on top
It’s not necessarily fanservice, but I think Punk cares way more about the story of his career over the accomplishments. The way he sold that look of anger and disbelief as soon as Seth’s music hit was cinema. And it’s a measure of karma against Punk for what happened with Drew at WM 40.
I do think he may get his true final run for 2026. Although triple H is trying to push sami zayn to be a main eventer.
I think the Sami experiment will go over as well as Jey’s. Kevin Owens will always be the more capable main eventer. And I do think Penta is in for a major push for that title when they run a mega PLE in Mexico next year.

In the late 90s he was over as hell. He was the first "silent bad ass" to get over and he was very over. His runs after his first WWE run have absolutely fucked up his legacy but the guy's aura was incredible at his peak

Modern wrestling fans (mostly reddit/twitter) are some of the biggest fucking faggots I have seen.
I'd say people who not only want but desire an obese, incontinent, senile, elderly pedophile to be their king and offer unconditional submission to him is far, far gayer than not wanting that. So congratulations, you're even gayer than Sonny Kiss

This girl is crying her eyes out over I think Jelly Roll unless she is just super excited to see Triple H

This shit is going to make me a fan of Seth. This dude is losing his fucking mind over people singing the song.

I love getting worked, night one ended in a sports entertaining way. Bretty good 7.5/10.
Other than the piss break 2nd match pretty much everything was enjoyable, I’m curious to find out who Seth’s opponent will be at Clash at Paris assuming there is a World title match there, SmackDown at least has a somewhat healthy upper mid-card and main event scene who could challenge the winner of Cody/Cena at Clash but on RAW there isn’t a ton of options they could go with Punk again but honestly RAWs babyface scene is pretty barebones at the moment Sami and Uso are there sure but we’ve already seen them face Seth on TV maybe Sheamus is a wildcard option they could do for his first defense

Don’t wanna simp for the sheets but all the dorks who said something like “you can’t fake that kind of facial reaction” about Seth, a man paid to fake pain.
Imagine if there wasn't leaks/rumors how awesome would that have been if everyone thought Rollins was injured and we had a legit surprise.

What retards like Meltzer will never understand is dirtsheet marks aren’t the ones spending money making the business popular and profitable.

Wrestling (WWE) is hotter than it's been in years and you have some old spergy Jew spoiling shit. In an era where its hard to work people. He keeps spoiling shit, eventually people are going to say I know what happens and tune out.(again)
