The IWC has been toxic for many years. They continuously whine about everything related to wrestling, fantasize about being bookers, wishing death on wrestlers that they despise, act like social rejects who obsess on female wrestlers to the point they wish those wrestlers are their waifus IRL, declaring war on everyone who aren't fans of smark darlings, having literally no lives outside of wrestling, the list goes on.

If you're taking the super long view, Hogan's contributions were a net gain to the wrestling business. He was responsible for 2 boom periods (Hulkamania and nWo.) I largely didn't care for him, as I found him to be generally silly, but I don't go and get assblasted about him. I can either appreciate the silly bits of his career or just not care.
Don't worry the WWE will have wall to wall ballglazing simp video packages about how Hulk Hogan was the second coming of christ and have people stood in the ring crying crocodile tears and other such oversentimental glurge
Whatever you think of the man, I get so sick of the narrative he couldn't work. He spent 90% of his matches selling like he was getting fucking raped. Part of the reason a lot of AEW and NXT matches are exhausting is because they run at a million miles an hour and don't sell shit. Yes, he wasn't a technical wizard like Hart or Danielson, but he generated tremendous sympathy as a face and knew how to lay out a match that told a story with a beginning. middle and end. He was also really good at generating heat as a heel in WCW and was great at working that weight belt spot to get the face over. His in-ring work didn't go to shit until after his bad knee injury in Spring '99. Obviously there were issues with booking before that, but his work was still solid.
