I wasn't watching ROH at that time, but if we're taking him at his word. Steen wanted to do the modern AEW lets kill each other type shit but in front of 200 people. So I can understand the friction with him and Steen.

He's also said the silent Luchador El Generico was a stupid gimmick. I can't confirm or deny that, but he's said numerous times during Sami's rise in the bloodline, his feud with Gunther and his recent fued with Owens, ''Where the fuck was this guy during ROH, I had someone who didn't wanna say a word, to now being able to cut one of the best sympathetic babyface promos in modern day wrestling"

He does praise modern Owens and Zayn, he just didn't want them to try kill each other for 500 bucks a night. So they must've learned something, because they both could've left WWE multiple times to rejoin their besties the Young Cucks in AEW. Fuck, Owens got to wrestle his hero Stone Cold in Texas at Wrestlemania and actually had a good match.

When it comes to the Wrestling business I'll give him his due and say he's way more right than he is wrong. Evil Uno was once one of the hottest talents on indys but in front of national audience no one has ever gave a shit about him. Which can be said for most of non prior WWE talent in AEW.

I read the word Trump a few pages back and wondered when you'd show up to be a faggot. Go down to OVW and get a new gimmick, kid. And fuck Cornette's fat wife too while you're down there.
 
I've noticed pro wrestling has become more sloppy over the last year or so. Originally, I thought it was just me, but I've seen other people comment on bigger shows having more botches than in the olden days. The culprit seems to be a combination of footage being abundant as well as the cancellation of house shows (at least in WWE's case). I must admit one of the reasons I like pro wrestlers/pro wrestling is that is was a grind where they worked all year with very little time off. It really does seem like in-ring matches aren't as good as they were years ago and taking away house shows is a disservice to the fans as well. I saw a house show in late 2005/2006, a Smackdown taping in 2006, and a house show in 2007. They were good times and it's disappointing that isn't feasible in this day and age in WWE. Between the high ticket prices and, honestly a lot of the best talent being gone and/or retired at this point, it really doesn't feel worth it anymore. In short, I want house shows again. :mad:

As much as house shows are a great way to connect with the fans and for wrestlers to get experience on the job, the schedules they were having to keep were nuts and one of the reasons so many wrestlers were racking up injuries and substance abuse issues
Cena in the year 2011 after Batista and Edge left the WWE wrestled 202 matches in a year
In 2024 Cody wrestled 101 matches in a year
