He has history in both TNA and NWA, and I would watch an R-Truth title reign in either.

Truth was Vince's boy and unlike Laurenitis, has stayed loyal to the Geriatric Jackhammer.
Maybe he'll get his Judgment Day badge before he rides away. Maybe.

Wasn't there a rumor about two former TNA champions making "surprise returns" at Against All Odds on June 6th? Maybe R-Truth will show up there as some kind of work? Just really odd to shit can the guy out of nowhere right after doing a match with Cena. Then again nothing would really surprise me, feels like Triple H is wanting WWE to be his version of AEW at this point.

I was surprised Carlito made it through the cuts at the beginning of May. He got signed because of a big pop in Puerto Rico at Backlash in 2023 then did nothing. I get he doesn't control his own booking, but it always felt like a strange fit to bring him back in the first place.
 
Truth was one of those genetic freaks who could still move like a 21 year old in his twilight years. He deserves a big sendoff. I hope, before his contract expires, they give him a retirement match where he gets to wrestle his choice of opponent on TV, so he can go out with a bang and not by getting squashed by a big sweaty man.
 
I'm starting to think it was more a money thing with Truth and Carlito.
Truth being very loyal to the guy who gave him work since like 2008(?) likely didnt help and he probably had a sweet deal set up that cost a lot.
Carlito well he got a run and got paid, fair play to him but he did very little.
