I like this new photo of Rhea Ripley

So I know I’m late, that last video package on Smackdown has pretty much confirmed that Fenix is here. With the triangle hand gesture. I hope it’s revealed that he trained Chad Gable Grande Americano.
Current day NXT is bewildering to me. As far as i can tell it's 75% women and the other 25% is 4 or 5 clones of Swerve Strickland.
Buff Swerve, Tall Swerve, and Skinny Swerve. All jokes aside I like Oba, Trick and Jevon but something has to be done to differentiate between Jevon and Trick specifically.

Oba abd trick don’t need to blade themselves to get over
You don’t think they wouldn’t be blading every second if they could?

This has been bothering me since I saw the brutality while watching the Mr. McMahon documentary.
That sickening thud when Shane’s head drops on the concrete. Did they add that in post production for dramatic effect? It’s one of the ugliest botch accidents that I can think of. I just can’t believe Shane landed on his crown that hard and it didn’t leave him concussed. How long was Shane out of the show after that insanity?

Regardless the quality of the sound is suspicious to me it the crowd and spectacle surely would have drowned it all out.

Shane was absolutely concussed, so no suspension of disbelief needed there. Plus you gotta remember all the mics and cameras around. If all the noise can't drown out a couple guys calling spots, I'm not surprised it wouldn't drown out what is essentially a bowling ball getting dropped onto concrete

Having a look at it, the sound seems to come from Shane hitting his head on the metal grating, which would've elevated the noise. Either way, it's fucked. I remember watching this ppv and not acknowledging this spot as I do now. All it would take is Shane's body to move an inch forward, and no amount of chin tucking would save him. Correct me if I'm wrong, but during that end sequence before they went again, didn't Kurt try to convince Shane to move on from the spot, but Shane said again? Can't remember if Angle talked about this spot somewhere before...

He has spoken about it. Apparently the crew fucked up and got the wrong glass for the spot.
Chioda also spoke about the match.

Tony needs to grow some balls and tell wrestlers no for a change.
Why? That's not Tony's goal; his goal is to be besties with IWC darlings, have the resounding approval of Dave Meltzer, and become the idol of smarks and cagematch reviewers forever.
A co-worker once told me AEW was the spiritual successor to the Attitude Era, and this Cope/Mox match proves it isn't. TAE wasn't about mindless violence for the hell of it for the top talent involved; it was used as a spice/condiment for feud-enders and/or major PPVs. Mick Foley didn't put HHH over on Jacked or heAt by having sharp objects on his back and ass, that shit was meant as the cherry on top of lengthy four year rivalry coming to a spectacular end.
With how retards like Mox talk, you'd think Jeff Hardy was swanton bombing off of the Eiffel Tower onto an active warzone every Thursday night. Even Juggalos have better standards than this.

Tony wonders why people mock him. When I was a teenager maybe this shit would have been cool,
I don't think so. The violence needs to serve a purpose or else it becomes either laughable or cringy.
Plus the setup isn't even that cool to begin with. This spot is nothing versus his flaming table spear with Foley.
He knew enough not to fuck with any of the established guys in WWE/F but he'd routinely tune up newbies on live TV and was a notorious asshole to the WCW and ECW guys when they started coming over.
I can't blame him 100% for that.
For years the WCW guys were trying to put them out of business, and if WWF continued to stay on hard times, guys like him would've been the first to go.
It's safe to say if his "Hardcore" gimmick failed, he'd be gone from the E in less than 3 months with nowhere to go.
He wasn't alone in his feelings either. From Taker to Holly, a lot WWF guys were on board for hazing and berating WCW talent.

He's one of the more notable pieces of shit in the business
This is internet revisionism. Holly was one of many.
He may have been one of the more physical ones, but the locker room was full of petty and abusive types. Or are we suddenly forgetting X-Pac leaving turds in women's lunches?
And in some ways, they had to be; you either show the boys you're not to be fucked with or you end up getting soaped up by Bradshaw and get your lunch shat on by Waltman.

I'm sorry, but this is absurd. You cannot run a wrestling promotion like this.

Ironic that the biggest exposers of the business take the most bumps that a casual audience would see as major selling.

seems like Oba vs Trick is likely for Stand and Deliver, Oba will probably go over and Trick will go to the main roster after Mania
Rhea at the airport at 5am looking up after signing some kids program to see a couple dozen unwashed marks coming with Rubbermaid bins of merchandise. TLDR leave wrasslers the fuck alone in just about every situation outside of a convention.
yup, these type of fans disgusts me like that one prick that was complaining about Orton telling him off at the gym a few years back, these tards dont understand the wrestlers have lives outside of wrestling

exactly, Tony is just booking for sicko neckbeards, a example of brutality being done right is the Punk/Mcintyre HIAC match last year, when half the AEW roster ends up paralyzed at 40 the Anti-Smarks will be proven right yet again, those type of spots shouldnt be on weekly TV to appease ADHD wrestling fans

There is also the fact that doing spots like that every week just makes them less special when they do happen. Although honestly I suspect this spot was planned to distract from the backlash to that shitty Cope/Moxley match at Revolution. Even most AEW smarks thought that match was dogshit, but throw some indie wrestling garbage at them and they’ll go back to clapping like seals.

Jim Cornette talks about the Jon Moxley incident. And rightfully suggests that Moxley may have severe mental issues.

You should listen to it, it's pretty good.

And rightfully suggests that Moxley may have severe mental issues.

He has CTE at the very least.

Blading in literally every match and/or taking stupid bumps on free TV. Destroying the main event scene by hiding the AEW world title in a briefcase for months on end, winning by fuck-finish every single time whilst playing a "dominant champ" and not even entertaining the idea of dropping the belt even though the fans have cooled off on him massively.

It's getting to the point where no one will even give a shit about the next person to win the belt because it will be so devalued by the time Mox is done with it. The real top champ in AEW at the moment is either Omega or Toni.

I doubt Moxley has severe mental issues, he's simply an edgy try hard. Since his CZW days he's been like this, the good times he had is because he had people holding him back. That first match with Omega while it looked brutal, was all gimmicks, the glass wasn't real, it was the absolute limit you could take those type of matches without getting uncomfortable to watch. I love their second match better and it was just a normal match.

It's a shame because I liked Moxley due to his Ambrose work and his first couple of years in AEW, he was really the MVP back then. He really was a cool character.

It's hilarious seeing these AEW tards trying to justify this or defending it by letting you know how many views it had over YouTube/instagram, or that this is the greatest run of weekly pro wrestling TV, I'm not kidding, these numbnuts actually think that.

Tard wrangling is occasionally necessary, even for guys at the top of the card like Cody
I completely agree. Like with Moxley, he just needs to be tard wrangled a bit and he’d be fine. He’s actually great when he’s tard wrangled a bit. Early AEW Moxley was on top of the entire business.

So do I man. The cut off black denim vest with the frayed arm holes with orange spray paint on the back.
The blue camo fatigues and then those cool green camo fatigues. He still had the shield boots on.

Shit was peak. He could be again if he was tard wrangled.

I've always considered Waltman to be one of the more pathetic, talentless fucking twats to ever ride H and Shawn's coattails to semi-relevancy in the WWE.

If it weren't for DX and Chyna, nobody would give a single shit about him.

Goldust calling him a greasy rat in a promo was not only true, but funny as fuck.
