Kane also got cheers during his initial run but for different reasons he was just cool as fuck and scary as shit. nowadays its common for heels to get cheered for simply being good wrestlers, this is partially due to contrarian smarks but also because the Internet in general let so much cats out of the bag when it comes to the business so people know they arent sadistic asshats IRL generally

His character had such a fine line he had to tightrope between being goofy yet also a legitimate threat and it's amazing he pulled it off.

MY FUCKING EARS

I just tuned into Smackdown on Netflix and I get this really loud sound test shit that is pink and black. I can't screenshot it because Netflix has screenshot protection on mobile.

Edit: reloaded the stream, all is fine. But rewinding doesn't bring back the WWE Stamford pink and black "lip sync" screen. That was fucking weird.

E: omg someone on twitter about 10 days ago found a similar screen, albeit green and pink:

E2: reloaded the stream a time or two more to test, ended up with some interview segment between the bald guy and the female hostess on the WWE talk show, talking about Stephanie Vaquer and Fallon Henley. Then I reloaded again and was back to live Smackdown with The Miz on the screen. The Netflix feed seems fucky tonight.

E3: also, just want to confirm, are they not doing interviews and other filler during the "ad breaks" like they do on RAW? I'm getting this multilingual "we'll be right back" screen.

Twitter fans are actually so fucking stupid its unreal, they were freaking the fuck out about The Rock hijacking WrestleMania again, honestly it seems more likely this leads to a slowburn Cody Heel turn cumulating at WrestleMania against either Punk or Cena (who the Rock has history with so it honestly makes sense for him to use Cody as a weapon)

Angle mostly came at from the perspective of "all of my best/favorite matches were with Benoit, and not talking about him negates MY career". Which is fair, and he's not the only guy Benoit had a lot of good matches with, but what can you really do beyond say "Randy Orton became the youngest champion when he beat Benoit"?

Plus as soon as Chris is de-blacklisted you'll have swarms of fans raising a big stink over it, and other immediately demanding he get brought back to the game/put in the HoF/Documentaries etc. As far as WWE is concerned, they probably think it's best to just leave all of the Benoit shit available to watch but thats it.
 
By the way considering Dark Side of The Ring will be focusing on Ludvig Borga, I bet they will focus heavily on his SS tattoo. When was it discovered or talked about? Was he really a Neo-Nazi, or was this a "Viking" rune symbol? Even Corny never acknowledged, and JR only acknowledged it years after he died. Bruce Prichard's take on Borga

Why doesn't he complain about Ron and Don's tattoos like he did Borga's?

He had to cover it up when he was with WWF..

He was active politically, and was elected to parliament, although I'm not going to pretend to know a single thing about Finnish politics.
