Hogan's signature move is the leg drop. A huge breadth of his WCW run was him cutting heel promos, then having his stooges fight (instead of him) to get heat. If Ric Flair, The Cope, Chris Jericho and other geriatric men can have matches, Hogan can do it (not that I think he would choose to.) There's plenty you could do with Hogan because the guy is a massive carnie who always gets attention.

My understanding is that Hogan is too hobbled to be able to do anything of note in the ring (ie, the leg drop.) Jericho may be seriously out of shape and losing it, but he still has mobility. Ditto Cope. Flair's last 'matches' were super protected, and he also wrestled a relatively 'safer' style than Hogan (Flair has credited the 'side bump' he did after his airplane accident as helping prolong his career.)

from what I understand just walking and standing is a bit of a strain on him, even by old wrassler standards
leg drop did a lot of damage over time

but yeah, despite getting booed (even if they were immediately punished with eating fire) Hogan still has a few guest appearances left in him for sure, but I can't see any role for him as an ongoing character regardless of his irl dramas
not sure how much he'd be interested in going on the road much anymore at his age, too

There's candid pictures/videos of him using a walker/walking sticks to get around the place and he looks ancient in them.

I'd imagine any public appearance at this stage involves him taking a bunch of pain pills or getting a shot of some kind to be able to tough it out for the few minutes he's in front of a live crowd.

NXT popped a huge rating this week, 957k with 341k in the demo.

Hard to imagine that AEW was trouncing them so badly at one stage to the point where they switched nights to avoid going up against Dynamite. They should switch back to Wednesdays in the same time slot and it might get TK to wake the fuck up and book his once-in-a-lifetime roster properly.

Deathriderz my bollix. A shite angle that is hanging over the entire company like a bad smell, we're being sold that they are the big evil but they are just the BCC with D-Bry replaced by a woman who just sort of stands around. Have Omega come back and squash Moxley for the title in 30 seconds and end this utter twaddle.

Kenny winning the belt again would be akin to putting the belt on Davis Arquette, except David Arquette is 100% a good person.

Putting the belt on ratings poison Omega would be the death knell for AEW.

Honestly, I'd say that this week has been successful for WWE. Record ratings for not only Raw's Netflix premiere but also for NXT's New Year's Evil special. Attendance has also been going well for their shows as well with venues being either close to being filled up or legitimately selling out. Though WWE did the right thing in my opinion to move NXT to smaller venues when the show was on the road like we seen this past Tuesday. Hell, they're going to the long time primary venue for WCW Saturday Night in a few weeks from now.

WWE is a hot live ticket at the moment across all of their brands. I don't really understand it because any of the highlights i see on reddit or whatever look like exactly what drove me away from the product a few years ago. It's all just clips of entrances and promos and not a single second of actual wrestling.

But, hey, i'm not the target audience and there's far more people watching WWE than the stuff that i watch so i guess they are doing something right.

Agreed. Sometimes I'll tune in on occasion to see the build up to PPVs or TV specials or even the debut or return of a few wrestlers like Joe Hendry in NXT last year but my focus is mainly on the indies to be honest. Same can be said for AEW.

Malakai Black may be done with AEW. No word on if he'll go back to WWE.
Someone get Justin Whang on the Phone he was the one I found out he was still gonna be in AEW last time it was reported.

Also, they edited Raw down to omit commercials for on demand. Run time is now 2 hr 20 minutes. Hogan's boos are still in. The humiliation ritual continues until WWE gets his beer company.

...korea has internet marks?
Oh yeah, They have a reddit-esque site called DCinside. They do their own end of the year list. Last year Solo was the Moxley so huge improvement lol.

Translating their comments is pretty funny.

Don't be so hasty, North Korea might want to do a wrestling event again.
Would love to see their reaction to Powerhouse Hobbs.

Who besides Takeshita is even believable and hasn't been ruined by the constant bullshit in that company? Hobbs could be saved, but not under the Booker of the Century.

Orange Cassidy
Roderick Strong
Jeff Jarrett
Darby Allen

Hell, just have Orange Cassidy pull a Tim the Bear, remind Moxley's crew that he used to be Fire Ant, and just beat the living shit out of Moxley's crew complete with kayfabe breaking Moxley's girl sidekick's neck to permanently write her out and then give Orange a year long run with the belt with him now a serious wrestler.

You know it is a sad state of affairs when a former WWF Intercontinental champion is one of the more credible 'contenders' in AEW.

i could've sworn there were at least one or two promotions in korea, but not with big budgets
I wouldn't know much about it the most famous Korean to ever wrestle was Rikizodan (basically the founding father of all Japanese Wrestling) is actually Korean, he was born in present-Day North Korea, he got his start as a Sumo Wrestler but a lot of the Japanese were initially racist to him due to being a Korean Immigrant, he eventually transitioned to Pro-Wrestling after American stuff got introduced into Japan post-WW2 and became the one of the most beloved people in Japan despite being Korean, he was sadly killed by the Yakuza in the 60s but he mentored a lot of guys like Inoki and Giant Baba, its very difficult for basically any promotion that isn't in America,Japan,or Mexico (and to a lesser extent Britain) to get their feet off the ground because a lot of nations culturally do not understand pro-wrestling so the few interested in becoming a wrestler outside those countries often immigrate
