They're saying McIntyre's back hurts-- but what they're not saying is that it hurts because he's been carrying this match. Literally and figuratively.

edit: god that finish was lame. Of course Punk won but didn't feel earned.

CM Punk was on the floor most of the time 'recovering' and then doing weak ass gimmicks that didn't involve much strength/skill at all while McIntyre was tossing him everywhere and launching himself.

Disappointing match but I DID enjoy the low blow earlier.

i may get crucified here for this but honestly, that was the best Hell in a Cell match of all time, even edging out Taker vs HBK
Is he tho?
Not from storyline perspective.
both did shitty things storyline wise, Heel/Face dynamics get blurred with feuds like this.

I don't agree with putting Punk/McIntyre on first. It should have been a co-headline main event along with Cody/Roman vs Bloodline. That was probably the best HIAC match in years, but we should let some time pass before making a final judgement.

I think Drew is taking off some time after that and will be back for the Rumble. Could we see another match between these two? I feel this was a great blowoff, but Punk and McIntyre have worked so well together that I want them to fight forever.

It helps that for years, Cell matches had been neutered. I think the only recent Cell matches that felt anywhere close to this were Seth vs Cody and Edge v Balor, and even those were still pretty "safe" compared to this one.

I agree making it the opener was a mistake, should have main evented or at least been the second-to-last if the Rock is indeed returning, honestly I don't think we need to see another singles match between them, but I could see Mcintyre (and likely Punk too) taking some time off before the Rumble, plenty of fresh feuds they could have as WWE usually slows down for a month or so after Survivor Series

Nia wins and stocks for Samsung refrigerators skyrocket.

I'm not watching the ppv but reddit is calling it one of the worst matches of the year and saying that Bayley is as much to blame as Nia because she was selling like shit and really obviously calling spots right in front of the camera because Nia can't actually wrestle at all.

They managed to invent a new move between them called the Hurricantrana where Nia just sort of fell backwards off the middle turnbuckle and Bayley did a front flip into a back bump a full 5 seconds later.

Lots of questionable choices in the structure of this PPV. Hell in a Cell to open followed by an abysmal bowel movement of a match between Jax and Bayley. Priest-Balor was great and should have followed HIAC instead. Now we're getting Liv vs Rhea, which hopefully isn't going to follow the established trail of great match followed by shit match.

The Crown Jewel belt is so fucking guady, but it'll work for the Saudi marks like PB&J. Cody vs Gunther could be decent.

I guess we'll see how this shark cage match works.
