I mean yeah, he's right it's rage bait-- but he shouldn't have ever touched them in the first place. Give them anything and they will want complete non-stop vocal support... or you are "literally Hitler"'d to oblivion

Yeah, he's not wrong in that it's rage bait, but he's beyond retarded for engaging with it. Honestly his pissy reaction is all they were looking for.

But, you lay down with dogs, you get fleas. Or a thread on the Farms in the Zoosadism subforum.

I'm surprised that nobody here has talked about Ricochet's attitude on Twitter, not even one day after he signed on AEW he decided to act like a cunt to all the people who criticized him.

What is in the water of Jacksonville that makes everyone in the company act like spoiled brats?

I would imagine getting signed for an absolute fortune to AEW makes people who lingered in the mid-card in WWE think that they were actually amazing all along and the plebs were "wrong" about them.

I like Ricochet solely for his in-ring stuff but he is absolutely dog-shit on the mic so he'll never be a top guy.

AEW are set to make a profit of between $61 and $76 million next year. They'll be around for a while yet.

Also, the Outrunners are the 3rd highest merch sellers in the company at the moment behind Ospreay and basic AEW-logo stuff.

Tony will spend it on bloated contracts for indy darlings

When we start seeing documentation like this and this then we can start to have serious, grown up discussions on financials or not bring it up at all. I'm not going to take Tony Konman, Dave Meltzer (seriously? we have some fucking marks in this thread :story:), and british faggots reporting on what Dave Meltzer reported that his boyfriend Snowman told him at their word.

Jesus Christ. That minor league company really does have a cultic fanbase. Nothing must ever be questioned and you must never criticize the denomination.

And you Vincels will never, ever stop raging that another company exists and provides something for people who are sick of WWE's boring slop, will you?

I started watching wrestling again in 2022 after over 15 years of tuning out because I had 0 interest in what WWE was offering and thought the product was shit and would even have a go at my best friend because he refused to ever tune out even though he knew it sucked all through the pg era. When I came back to it in 2022 I was excited there was a new kid on the block and AEW was my go to for well over a year. I'd even rush home from work on Wednesday's so I wouldn't miss the first minute of Dynamite, and I tuned into every ppv. I even went to my first live event in about 20 years when they had a Dynamite up in Worcester, MA in 2022.

Then, the booking continued to get worse and worse and I finally tuned out because the product was was no longer entertaining. So, you pissants with your victim mentality aren't going to come in here and sling mud and not expect to get popped in the mouth while spewing horseshit because your favorite product to consoom is objectively inferior and on the flipside WWE's product has only improved and I, like many others, decided to tune out.

Fucking moron. :story:

As an Internet wrestling fan, I hate all forms of wrestling and express that hatred by being an internet wrestling fan.

Most people in this thread have a pretty measured take on AEW. Yay, they got a TV deal which all but the most braindead types out there figured was going to happen.

But that doesn't excuse them from being mocked when dumb/funny shit happens. Or acknowledging that they largely are dependent on a billionaire's coffers to keep going.

There isn't anything wrong or bad about that, either. I honestly think it's a good thing that Khan has funding for what is essentially a vanity project. They're insulated enough that they won't get cancelled and be up shit's creek if it was a conventional television show, and, frankly, you need a pretty significant chunk of cash if you want to establish yourself.

But I see a company that had a ton of momentum and they're just sorta stalled out at the moment. I don't really agree with throwing marquee matches out with little build/for free because I think it devalues something that is supposed to be 'special.' If you're a workrate fan, yeah, AEW is probably ticking exactly what you want.

But there are issues with the product, just as there are issues with WWE's (eg, I'm sorry, but not even Drew and Punk can carry a feud over a fucking friendship bracelet. This is supposed to be a horrific blood feud and it's turning out like two 14 year olds arguing in the aisle at Claire's.)
