This whole situation has nothing to do with transgenderism and people handwringing over it on both sides are just making it impossible to talk about. It's possible some of the controversy is warranted, but I'm finding it hard to filter what's true from what's not because of all the noise on the Internet. I see a lot of people, including a few MSM news sources, saying the boxer is intersex, tested for levels of testosterone that would be consistent with a male and tested XY and other sources saying that's not true and she's 100% a clear cut natal woman who just looks kind of mannish.

If she's just a mannish looking woman, she should absolutely be allow to compete, however if the stories about the testing going around have a grain of truth, it's trickier. What is the point of having separate divisions for men and women in the first place?

Agreed. As much as I give Vince shit for being a bad booker, one of the skills that he has that I will always respect him for is being an expert tard wrangler. There isn't a single wrestling promoter in the last 100 years can that say they have an extensive track record of successfully holding down the egos of roidheads who thought they were hot shit because they won a couple matches on TV. If Tony had to deal with someone like Ultimate Warrior for a year, I'm sure he would have had a mental breakdown and checked out of the business for a while.

If she is a woman, which seems to be the case given she's from Algeria (where it's illegal to be trans and to transition), then she should be able to compete. Just because she looks a bit manly doesn't necessarily mean she's a dude. Sometimes people look like the other gender. For example, Caden (the Praetor lead for Chris Chan) looks like a 40 year old lesbian despite being a 20 year old male.

If she is intersex AND has the testosterone of a male, then I agree, that's bullshit. But if she's never had testicles, who cares? she sucked last olympics lol

Only real way to deal with these things is mandatory medical/genetics exams. If that person is truly XY and has increased testosterone, regardless of performing bad or good, they have to go in the male category or not compete at all.
Those that refuse to be tested should not be allowed to compete.

I dunno, at the highest level of sports, genetics is what determines the best competitor. They all work hard, good training, etc... Those with the best genetics wins. If she has a naturally higher testosterone, despite being a woman, then she has the best genetics. Obviously if she is actually a dude then no, but if she just is XY and has higher test because of that, then she should be able to compete. It's no different than Michael Phelps having a genetic mutation that allows him to metabolize lactic acid faster than his competition

It was mostly because he was Vince's boy. Obviously he's a big dude and could probably hold his own, but you never heard legit fight stories about him. There were a lot of guys who would've wrecked Undertaker in a fight (Severn, Shamrock, Meng/Haku, Steiners, Lesnar, Simmons, Blackman, etc..) but he had a lot of sway with Vince. Apparently once Lesnar was summoned to wrestler's court, and he just laughed and said "who is going to make me?" and they let him go.

A female cannot be XY, by definition. That additional testosterone always comes from somewhere. The most likely case for this is some flavor of intersex, with undescended testicles, still in the abdomen. From the outside, "she" might have female-looking genitalia, although likely much larger, because of the testosterone.
Her "best" genetics come from being male, but damaged goods male, with a DSD.
You should check some articles about DSDs, there are quite a few, if curious.
It's truly a "born this way" case, but also an obvious illness, as most these people are sterile and have various other malformations and health issues, so it's as much "desirable diversity" as having a spina bifida or cleft palate.
The moment these issues are related to genitalia, for some reason people get really touchy around the subject, which should not be the case. If we have no issues saying "malformation" and "genetic anomaly" about a problem of the heart, we should apply the same measure to the reproductive system, which is composed of organs like all others.

One more thing to consider outside of politcs or biology: we're supposed to trust the word of a sanctioning body that is apparently so corrupt that boxing is on the verge of being off the card entirely in Los Angeles 2028 if they don’t get their shit together, over a body that, while the IOC aren’t perfect angels themselves, have to do their checks and balances because they have one of the biggest images in the world to protect.
