Numerous outlets are reporting that Warner Brothers Discovery has notified the NBA that they will be exercising their rights within their current NBA deal and have matched the Amazon Prime Video deal.

The reported price of that deal is in the $1.8B range, which is significantly more than WBD is paying now for the NBA. And for that extra expense, they will get less programming than they get under their current deal as NBC Universal is now also getting a slate of games as a new third partner in the NBA package.

What that means to AEW is to be determined.

Look I'm all for cucking the cuck when the cuck acts like a cuck, but what was he supposed to do in this situation? Marella was the instigator here, he's ~15-20 years younger, and actually a trained fighter. I think Cornette did pretty well in this situation. He managed to not go to jail or the hospital, and profit off a jobber losing their cool as well. Go figure that it pertains to wrestling.

I've been reading about the political stuff and ultimately my conclusion is that whoever draws first blood over this nonsense is in the wrong. I honestly didn't know about Danielson being on the left (probably because he doesn't disown people over politics), but I'm also not surprised; Look at the guy. I always liked Danielson and wish him ownership of Tony Khan one day.

I take it you might be less aware of some of the really, dumb shit Cornette says independently of political spergery. Santino used to be one of a handful of people that Cornette's viewers brought up to hear his "old man yells at cloud act." But unlike when he does it to Omega and the Bucks, he usually added unambiguous threats of violence against Santino.

What you see in that video is Cornette finding out after fucking around for years on the internet.

This is where I paraphrase the wisdom of Mike Tyson: "the internet has made people forget that saying dumb shit will eventually get you punched in the mouth."
 
iirc Corny also shoot hit Santino once back in the day because Santino dared to smile while in the crowd with his (santino's) daughter as she reacted to Boogeyman or somebody
that was funny that time everybody realized that Santino was calling Cornette a "rapist" and not a "racist"

Yeah, that's what got him fired from OVW and deservedly so too. Santino was "one of the boys" and didn't react in fear soon enough for Cornette's liking, so he went up to Santino and slapped him hard over it. There's footage of Santino allegedly "not reacting" to Boogeyman and it's not that bad at all. He did react, but Cornette was mad he didn't recoil in fear sooner.

There's talk about a new season of Dark Side of the Ring being in production

Apparently Ludvig Borga, Billy Jack Haynes and Dennis Coralluzo are episodes. Borga and Haynes makes sense, but I didn't know Coralluzo did anything that bad unless it's this season's lighter episode (like Brawl for All episode was). I'd want to see an episode on Jerry Lawler and another on Teddy Hart. I doubt we'll see either though

I was reading about Caralluzo not long ago when I went down a NWA rabbit hole. Apparently during the later years it came out that he owed money to wrestlers overseas and was being racist.

Regardless any ep will be worth a watch. One of the only shows I get excited to watch new episodes of.

I guess ilja & Ethan page being champions didn't or isn't happening? Trick williams has more charisma than most of the triple h black and gold revamps in the main roster.

The story is that Santino Marella no-selled the Boogeyman during an OVW promo and Cornette got mad at him for that. Marella's daughter was in the audience apparently though I'm not sure if she has anything to do with the situation.


It happens around 5 minutes in.
