HBK taking the reigns of NXT has actually provided us a healthy variety of women. Sadly on the mens side, HBK has a thing for pushing black guys who's entire personality is being happy-go-lucky dude who befriends other black fella who wants the title. Wes Lee has shown more personality with the Rascalz appearing these past two weeks than he has his entire North American title run.
NXT has been bringing in Blackie Flippinsmile-type guys long before HBK took over.

I must ask though, is there any Trump supporters involved in the wrestling business that completely disown Biden supporters?
The only guy I know of who disowns people over politics in the business is Cornette. Punk did a weird thing where he demanded AJ Styles to tweet, "black lives matter", but this is all I know about "you vote differently than me, you're dead to me now" in the industry.
If there are more examples I'd like to hear them. Sucks that Corny goes out of his way to make himself hard to listen to though.

imagine booking prime sunny in smw and not banging her, dude is a fag
Imagine (allegedly) banging sunny post her prime when you have a concussion and a busted hip.

Anyways, here's an unrelated image of Dolph/Nic Nemeth, who apparently was injured in a "back alley confrontation"(Hennimore stop booking this shit) but will happen to be medically cleared at the same night as Slammiversary and attend the 6 man championship match.

I have to see the match for myself, but so far, I feel Ospreay is hella overrated. I recall his return match against Takeshita and thought it was decent. There were a couple cool spots, but it dragged on longer than it had to. I really think kicking out of a machine gun sweep, a grenade, and an atom bomb really ruins the match simply because once credibility leaves the match, the thought of "oh right this is fake who cares who wins" is allowed to enter the mind and it doesn't leave until the match ends.
Well said. It feels like they're just trying to pop Dave Meltzer. It's working too.

If the maneuver which actually finishes the match feels arbitrary due to them kicking out of multiple killshots earlier in the match then I stop giving a shit. It doesn't make anyone come across as resilient, it makes the match come across as fake.

Cornette's reaction is sadly all too familiar. He has the worst case of TDS and has already "disowned" Kane for the same reason. His Trump rants on the podcasts are insufferable but the final straw for me was when he absolutely refused to even disavow the Trump shooter. A guy was brutally murdered in front of his family and all Jim can do is seethe that Trump wasn't killed too. Fuck him, I shoot hope he has a stroke when Trump is reelected.

I remember the Gunter vs Sami Zayn match from WM that had an interesting finish to it where Sami basically got lucky and landed an improvised brain buster. He, of course, followed it with the finisher for the kill confirm, but logically, it was the brain buster that did the job and completely changed things in Zayn's favor. What was neat about that finish was that it was a shot in the dark because Sami is 90 pounds soaking wet and Gunter is.. well, Gunter.

I get the whole fighting spirit angle, but that can't be all there is. It can be used to fuel a comeback but not make the entire match. Personally there's a few things that I wish would change when it comes to pro wrestling matches; I'd really like a match to end with a move that isn't a finisher. Small packages are still kind of a mixup, but I'm talking about just landing a crazy maneuver then getting the three count. and, lets respect the competitors of yesteryear and not have somebody kick out of Owen Hart's fucking harness spot.

I've been meaning to ask (I really want to derail the Cornette-politics discussion so two birds/one stone), but are there any good songs or albums about wrestling like Beat the Champ by the Mountain Goats? Not necessarily the same genre, but something inspired by wrestling that's still got good songwriting to it.

landed an improvised brain buster
Not just any improvised brainbuster either, but the BRAINBUSSTAAHHHHH!!!

Finally defeating the foreign menace Gunther on day 666 of his impervious title reign with the special finishing move of his long deceased trainer El Generico was a nice piece of storytelling. "Fighting spirit" is beyond played out and doesn't even matter when it's a give-in that's overused and isn't saved for special big time feel matches.

I don't watch WWE outside of clips on reddit but is there actually anything to the Bloodline stuff other than one of them declaring himself to be the leader and another one of them being a "will he/won't he" tweener for a bit until he inevitably turns on the group?

There's been a bit of that. Just waiting for Roman to come back now to slot into The Rock role until he beats them all up.
