I was listening to Wrestling Observer Live today and Bryan Alvarez confirmed something I'd suspected for a long time: When he wrote the Death of WCW (twice), he didn't actually go back to watch any of the shows for research. It's more likely he read over Wrestling Observer Newsletter entries on WCW as part of his process, but the number of times he says "I don't remember this at all!" during his retro Nitro reviews was very telling.
He also revealed he's sold over 100k copies of the book compared to his other book (100 Things WWE Fans...) which only sold about 8k copies.

I'll handicap this with the fact I've been a Jerichoholic since around Conspiracy Victim and The Man of 1004 Holds, but I'm really starting to dig The Learning Tree.
There's lots of room for different cheap heat than usual like telling Iowa how to grow corn better, lots of room for lower card guys to wander in and out, and I'm hoping the big tree prop is a chekov's gun that will end up with Jericho going through it or it's smashed over him or something

I hope he leaves AEW and goes back to the fed for his “put the young guys over” run. Maybe he wins the IC title one more time to become the greatest IC champ of all time. Then he puts someone like LA Knight over in his last match and he retires and goes to commentary.

She can barely speak English but she is a more entertaining talker that 99% of the rest of the AEW womens roster.
