I'm getting tired of seeing "BRET HART SHOOTS ON" in my youtube feed. I can't escape it.

Cool dude, you hated the Sunny Day's promo, even though you were cheating on your wife with every woman you could find during that time.

Yeah yeah, Goldberg kicked your head off. Was it also Goldberg's fault you did a hardcore match afterwards where you took bumps on concrete and headshots?

We get it, you're a tough guy cause Stu abused stretched you while screaming in your ear "YOUVE BREATHED YOUR LAST BREATH" and you took a perverse delight in fighting kids who made fun of your fake fighting family, tore shawns hair out, and punched vince after being given a free shot.

It just never ends. I love Bret. I'm a Hitman mark like literally every rasslin fan who isn't a retard, though not as much of a mark for him as he himself is. He's given people the best matches they ever had in their careers and could carry absolute train wrecks like a cracked out Bulldog to a genuinely legendary match. But holy shit dude. Bret Hart is a total fag outside of the ring. He is one of the worst whiners and is just insufferable to listen to. I’m also a huge fan of his as someone who prefers to watch wrestling for the in-ring ability versus soap opera, but man…. Never give that guy a mic. He couldn’t cut a promo to save his life. Thankfully Shawn Michaels was there to carry their feuds in that regard in the 90s.

There's something about Brett that I also see in CM Punk whenever they shoot. It's like the pair of them have the same exact ego disease, but I can't identify it exactly.

They’re both great in the ring. They both know they’re great in the ring. Everyone is keen to suck them off and let them know that they’re great in the ring.

I think it’s really the latter. Neither one of these guys are known for their humility and I would not be surprised if they both have some sort of narcissistic personality disorder.

I’m just really glad someone else noticed this and called it out. My YouTube recommendations also get flooded with this stuff, especially Bret, and I really didn’t think much of it. How many times does someone need to be interviewed and asked the same questions if it wasn’t doing something for them?

Pretty much, at least before the southern territories died off. The southern rasslin fans were loyal basically up to the moment the final Nitro aired.

I'd think if any dude in the company would be financially set it'd be Taker unless maybe his first wife cleaned him out when they divorced but even still the place he has with Michelle looks like a comfortable abode to live in.

I assume these interviewers pay pretty well because if I were Bret I'd be fucking sick to death of talking about Owen, Goldberg, and Montreal. If not I couldn't understand it unless Bret just gets off on his own misery at this point.

I agree with most of that, but Michaels was just as much of a drama queen. I personally can't stand either of them.

It's a little from column A and a little from column B I think.

I've heard stories from wrestlers that say they'd drink/get high with Bret, and he *immediately* just starts talking about Goldberg the second he's a little fucked up.

Edit: Bret will never let it go, and it's fucking sad cause it isn't like he was at the peak of his career. He was in his fucking 40's and going nowhere fast in WCW.

That’s another thing that has always bothered me. My dad was super autistic into wrestling in the 70s-80s and he would tell me that Bret was one of the boys who would go out, get drunk, snort some, and then take his pick of rats. I never believed him and I always painted Bret as this squeaky clean character that was above all sort of fault. I never understood why I thought this way, and I don’t understand why so many others do.

There are so many shoot videos that paint Bret as yet another asshole - but he’s never treated like one.
