2020 was the year wrestling was unwatchable because no fans wrestling just feels really disconcerting and wierd
It was the year I thankfully given up on AEW. Also, WWE during these months of that year felt more like an Eric Andre skit

It's funny he mocks the Bucks and Meltzer when Cornette IS his Meltzer.
CM Punk could have a match where he tosses salad and Cornette would call it a barn burner.
Cornette and Meltzer are two sides of the same coin. The are both incredibly autistic about wrestling, but in different ways. Depending on your opinion of wrestling you're going to find one or the other more tolerable.

I think about how funny and sad this is way more than I should:
Just the cut to the empty seats after he says "Give me a hell yeah!"

2020 was the year that I stopped watching on a regular basis. Up to that point, I had been watching NXT for the past five years ever since Samoa Joe showed up. I still keep up with the goings-on in the wrestling world, but sitting through an entire show is extremely rare.

I stopped in 2019 and came back for mania in 2022, haven’t stopped watching since. Sometimes you just have to step away from this beautiful fake and gay sport for a bit.

2021 marked 20 years since the Invasion
A year earlier someone had this sign

For me, it just becomes such a time commitment. One of the things I liked about AEW when it launched was it was a two-hour show a week and four ppvs a year and that was it. Now they've got five hours of TV and what 10 ppvs now? Fuck it. I'm 40 with a full-time job, kids and a wife. I ain't got time to watch all that shit. WWE is even worse. I'll follow along online and maybe watch big PPVs, but that's about it. That's why I find myself kind of gravitating back toward TNA from time to time. For 99 cents a month, you can watch their weekly TV on Youtube with no commercials, making it an hour and a half a week.

I only watch the monthly wwe shows tbh. I’ve got a little one on the way so I think that’s really the only schedule I’ll be able to keep unless she ends up liking watching it with her old man.

I walked away around 2009 or 10 and didn't come back until All In. Then I was an aew fan until MJFs nonsensical face champion reign/Brawl In.

I've been watching WWE again since mania 38 and they've been doing pretty great this last year.

The trick is to pirate the weekly shows and boom! suddendly Raw is only 2 hours instead of 3 hours long. Smackdown is around 1,5 hours instead of 2 hours. Don't get all the complains about Raw/Smackdown. Even the stuff I'm not that much interested in is watchable and sometimes even makes me interested in. Like this week or last week the tag match between the Creed brothers and DIY. Not interested in both teams but the match become a really great little TV match. Only stuff in WWE I skip is the women's stuff besides the Damage Control stuff bc I actually like it.

I'll give AEW credit for not having this much ad breaks (it's around 15 min, not counting the picture-in-picture stuff tho) but honestly I'm close to giving up on AEW completely. Haven't watched Rampage in months and Collision for weeks now (Rampage is completely pointless, Collision is between boring and unwatchable).

I'm not watching TNA atm bc since they kicked Scott it has some weird vibe. NWA is crap but it's fun crap and their YouTube shows are around an hour so I can always fit it in somewhere in between. Not following MLW that closely but I somehow always find some time to catch up with their stuff. If I don't spend Sundays with football (soccer) I spent it with catching up on NJPW but I usually skip all the multi man tag matches before the interesting matches start.

He was getting fat, part of the reason he was sent down to NXT.

And CM Punk has only been on there a couple of times. But they throw people from Raw/SD pretty regularly for one off matches/promos.

Overall NXT has been good lately.
