Similar shit happened to Brian Kendrick. Dude was supposed to debut for AEW, some retard thought it'd be fun to drag up that old shoot interview he and Paul London did where they were fucked up on drugs and citing conspiracy theories, and that resulted in Cokey Khan pulling Kendrick from the show.

World's End was shit, but I like Christian and his current character and the angle following his match. It was also nice to see Joe go over clean and win the world title.

I think so much time was wasted on the MJF/Cole nonsense, that all the actual good stuff that happened before got memory holed in favor of a weird gay bromance where they went with the most obvious ending, in an unfulfilling way. In general AEW likes to draw things out way too long, and when it falls flat it feels like a stale birthday cake.

Him just being a face wasn't the problem, it was because he turned the main belt into a prop with Atom Smol being his butt buddy. He devalued the main bet imo, by doing all the fwenship shit with some mid card cruiserweight.

Does any one care about any modern wrestling belt? They put them on people for years and half the time they don't turn up to the shows any way. The belts a prop but it's obvious when they're about to move it now because they over invest in holders. Belts should be moving every few weeks or at minimum have a realistic chance of moving. The reign of terror is becoming the norm now.
