Looks like WWE did a "Final Deletion" style thing with the Wyatts and New Day. fuck.

Yup, it was... weird. The production values certainly helped, and I liked the ending (well, most of it), but I'm not sure I got the point of that segment.

By the way, Smackdown last week was.... great! Seriously, check it out if you can.

It's beyond pathetic that lolWWE has to immediately try to do their own version of it, but at least it seemed like a decent try at a hardcore brawl minimovie. And since their camerawork is always shit the shit camerawork didn't stand out.

I was at tonight's very last pre-recorded Smackdown/Main Event taping. My first WWE show, but by far *not* my first pro wrestling show.

Neville is back! The first match of the night was Neville vs Bo Dallas, both guys gave a great match and Neville looks to be in excellent shape. It was a barnbuster way tos start the evening's card.

Also, the recently-returned Konnor aka Ryan is a native of tonight's venue's city, leading to a small but vocal Konnor Section in the crowd...I'm interested to see if they make it to the broadcasts.

If anyone on here has WWE Network, check out the Cruiserweight Classic. The first episode just dropped today/tonight and it felt like an hour of '97 era WCW cruiserweight action, it was fantastic.

i like how different the show feels. it's a good step in the right direction. it's a reality show about wrestling presented as a legitimate sporting event.

Apparently, Zumbi (the masked Brazilian wrestler) was cut from the tournament and replaced because he failed to make weight....

Anyway, I loved the show! The whole presentation, everything has a sports-like atmosphere which feels refreshing. Interesting stuff. Gran Metallik walking the ropes was very nice, Ibushi was awesome as usual, AND GOD, THAT COMMENTARY!!! Bryan & Ranallo are great together, both have legit love for the sport.

Among the competitors themselves, I gotta say that Daivari's brother impressed me the most. The guy wrestles a simple but very solid style. Ibushi was the best, but that was expected.

i would love for him and his bro to be brought in as a tag team
Too bad that won't happen in today's social climate. WWE could only go far with Muhammad Hassan and after his release, Daivari didn't do anything other than introduce The Great Khali.

BTW, any New Japan fans around here? Got back into it this year and I'm loving their shows. Naito's heel title run was great.

I think he was also Kurt Angle's manager during his "I want to rape Booker T's wife because she's a gutter slut" phase.

Oh yikes.

I watch New Japan every once and awhile, although I really should watch it more because it's fucking great. Naito is one of my favorites and his heel title run was pretty brilliant. I loved watching him just throw the title around and fuck with Okada.

I also have a crush on Kenny Omega. :heart-full:

Naito and Omega are my current picks to the G1 finals. I really hope Kenny wins it, though.

Omega is one of my current favorites in that roster, along with Okada and Sanada. Omega is so awesome that he made me enjoy the Young Bucks, which I didn't like that much before the "Elite" thing (btw, their Youtube channel is quite funny).

I look forward to Brock calling a press conference, walking out, saying "USADA can eat my dick. I'm still rich and fucking Sable." and going home.
