Brody Kings in ring stuff is solid but he is 100% a fake tough guy.

Go to any shitty dive bar in some shithole like Portland and you'll see 5 slightly different versions of him at any given time. He probably describes pro-wrestling as "his art".
 
Even if I agreed with a wrestler's politics I don't want to see them express their views when I'm watching wrestling. It's an unnecessary distraction. The crowd being a bunch of political rally marks getting themselves over is the more embarrassing part. It overshadows the wrestlers and the match.

I didn't see anyone talking about the recent big New Japan event. They had House of Torture cheat before the bell and then their new leader, Ren Narita,, squash the Olympic Gold Medalist Aaron Wolf in 2 minutes. He's apparently mainstream famous over there, but why do this after they pushed him so fast out of the gate? I get he's green, but I think he should've been pushed as a Goldberg type with his credentials. They might've just killed whatever momentum they had with a mainstream audience.

I love how everyone in the IWC is trying to spin this as Warner Discovery wanting him off the air so he doesn't mess up the Netflix merger.
Warner Discovery has already said publicly that AEW will NOT be part of the Netflix deal, so that doesn't even make sense.

Unless there are Republicans running Warner Brothers I really don't think that they give a fuck about a show that has to rely on their lead in show and when the Shawshank redemption plays after the show when they go a minute over to pop a rating.

1. Her name is Seri Yamaoka, not Yamada.
2. Senka Akatsuki, who got second place, does not work for Marigold. She still works for Marvelous, but she did have some matches in Marigold as part of the promotional feud they had.
This dumb fuck doesn't do the most basic research.

Not at all. They wanted the big win at WK to make headlines.

He wasn't squashed at NB, he was beaten by four guys ganging up on him. It doesn't lessen his momentum but it does allow him to learn lower down the card and be protected. Unless they're gearing up to give him a run at a bigger prize, he'll probably lose in similar fashion at the New Japan Cup where he has Fale in the first round.

He had a big moment to bring in casuals. Now he's going to learn how to be really good at pro wrestling for when they move him to the top of the card again.

The show was pretty solid over all. The tag title match was fanastic, just like the division has been since the KOB made their return. Newman looks like a star. Jake Lee? Meh. But it gave Tsuji his first defence.

The highlight was Hiromu's in ring goodbye with Unbound Co and Yuto-Ice is looking away from the cameras during it. I'm guessing he's disgusted by this and KOB are ready to turn on the group. He finally turns around and it's revealed why he's been looking away. Dude was bawling his eyes out and trying to hide it. He has the most charisma of any of the YL graduates post-pandemic and it's not close.

Liked the original intent of chronicling the MNWs to disprove narratives and lies that got spread throughout the years, got tired when it became more about him and dickriding his personal favorites and bashing the ones he didn’t like.

RIP his gravy train.

I agree, I enjoyed RTH when it initially started, I even enjoyed some of the running gags he did like the Davey Boy Smith Chinlock gag cause it was rather comical how often Davey Boy went to that rest hold during a match he was clearly checked out of. But its the other shit he did that kindof turned me off on the series, Steve Blackman was never over in the AE despite the WWE trying a few times to push him, but that didn't stop Wrestling Bios for giving us cringe Blackman running gags that wore out its welcome quick, or use of shitty AI songs (Hello David Flair!) Just to name a few. Overall I feel like his series on the MNW's was a mixed bag.
