Well, there's one thing though, he really was unfit to stand trial after all. My condolences and sympathies go to his family members Sim and Tamina.

I'm pretty bummed. Yeah he probably DID commit murder, but he still was a huge part of a lot people's childhoods.

Agreed. Separate the performer from the character(s) they portrayed in the ring, even if their wrestling persona shared the same name as their real name.

I understand people are angry with talents like Snuka and Benoit. But wrestling would be very different if these two never wrestled.

It's sorta like how even a stopped clock is right twice a day, only it's attempts to weasel out of murder. Eventually _one_ of the lies he came up with would end up accidentally being right.

>Some say Jimmy Snuka still waits at the pearly gates, waiting for Vince to show up and tell St. Peter he doesn't speak English.

Nigeria's Hulk Hogan (not joking) v. Luke Gallows

Gallows goes on to tell the infamous story of how he got stranded after agreeing to go over to Nigeria to wrestle. To start off, I can't recommend listening to the podcast to hear Gallows himself tell the story, as there is so much that happened that it is difficult to do justice to in writing. Even so, here are the major points.

Gallows went over to wrestle in Nigeria, but little did he know he would be wrestling for a guy with links to the Nigerian military. They wanted blood, but luckily in the professional wrestling sense. Somehow this led to Gallows becoming the booker and returning once again, only this time he had Cliff Compton (WWE's Domino) in tow.

The wrestling was a shambles, but on the day of departure Gallows was informed that he would have to go off with the Great Power Uti to wrestle for the military General. Yikes. Again, the whole thing is a mess and there is blood everywhere, but somehow they get it done.

Uti shafts them with plane tickets, so Gallows pays out of his own pocket to fly back to Lagos, before having to pay once again for their tickets back to the US. Obviously, obviously, obviously there is a heck of a lot more to it, but that is the gist.

I was disappointed to hear the twitter Uti isn't the real one.

Also iirc Domino has a decent version on some shoot video of his involvement with Uti.

There was also that wonderful episode of Colt Cabana's podcast.
