In some cases its not even having drank the kool-aid but being forced to pretend like you did. A lot of LGB circles will absolutely lynch you for breaking away from the established opinion of the group. This isn't something unique to LGB circles but it's incredibly prevalent there.

I knew someone IRL a while back who hated troons for this. One of their kids trooned out after living all their life as a manly man, and suddenly he started rewriting his own history to be that of a female. Suddenly his past was irrelevant or excessively historically revised. This can be seen in wiki pages where pronouns and names are changed to be both the other sex and that of their new troon name for things that the people in question did while identifying as and living life as their biological sex. It makes doing research on people confusing as hell as well because suddenly there's two names and pronoun sets for the people in question.
