No need to. Just merge all the functional changes that the base Audacity code makes, and never merge the telemetry aspect. Sneedacity is king.Did they even change anything?
You could just build regular Audacity with a flag. And the telemetry is opt-in anyway. No need to. Just merge all the functional changes that the base Audacity code makes, and never merge the telemetry aspect. Sneedacity is king.
They've sold out to a new company. I think it's better just to use a fork at this point. You could just build regular Audacity with a flag. And the telemetry is opt-in anyway.
cirosantilli said:For further context, Fuck 学习强国 refers to this repository https://github.com/fuck-xuexiqiangguo/Fuck-XueXiQiangGuo that helps Chinese people cheat this brainwashing indoctrination App: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xuexi_Qiangguo (Study for a strong country) made by Alibaba for the Chinese government, and which many companies force employees to use. The fact that that repo received 7k stars is quite remarkable, since most are from Chinese people as the repository is completely in Chinese, so starers incur a small risk to their own safety.
Xmader's identity (唐文正, Tang Wenzheng) had been recently leaked in a unrelated and widely noted incident (he commented with a real name account by mistake: https://github.com/fuck-xuexiqiangguo/Fuck-XueXiQiangGuo/issues/578 ), but luckily he was already abroad. That incident e.g. received coverage at: https://chinadigitaltimes.net/chinese/663593.html (a well known US funded anti-CCP publication that I love), and Xmader subsequently talked publicly about it, notably in this FAQ: https://2047.name/t/11552
In a "funny" turn of events, CCP supporters later created a anti-Fuck-XXQG repo at: https://github.com/boycott-fuck-xuexiqiangguo/Boycott-Fuck-XueXiQiangGuo and it has so far reached a grand total of 129 stars.
ocenaudio is a pretty nifty audio editor if you're fine with it being freeware (proprietary) (haram)Sneedacity looks dead, Audacity is thoroughly shitted up by Muse Group, what should be used in 2K25?
Although I can probably just use an old build of any version, because I just need to clip some audio.
Tenacity is still around. https://tenacityaudio.org/Sneedacity looks dead, Audacity is thoroughly shitted up by Muse Group, what should be used in 2K25?
I'm still using a cracked version of SoundForge on one PC and Audition on another. Last I tried I was able to reinstall SF but that was a few years agoI use Audition because I’m a proprietary soy betafag who likes to be fucked in the ass by license fees and E.T. sticking his glowing finger in my dog’s anus while he phones home but it works well for me, great performance and built-in plugins and doesn’t have a shit save format like Audaspergericity.
I used to like using SoundForge. No idea if it’s still relevant.
I used Cool Edit Pro way back when. Pretty good software.Move over Audacity, grampa is coming over to kick your ass:
Cool Edit (tm) for Windows(tm) 95!

(never used it but it looks better and faster to use than damn audacity)
