I agree with @ellroy. Nobody in the T. Rex saga is a trustworthy or likeable personality. Lucas is a socially awkward nerd who clearly has spent many years desperately wanting to be taken seriously. That's a pretty common personality trait for homeschooled kids. Unfortunately it lead to him pretending to be certain things that he's not, and claiming to have done things that he didn't do. He's a fast shooter, I'll give him that. He should have gotten into comp shooting instead of pretending to be some sort of tactical shooter who trains tier one guys.
The rest of the Botkin family seem like a bunch of dishonest weirdos, but that's par for the course when it comes to cults. The brothers gravely underestimated how important Lucas was to the financial health of the company, and a reconciliation seems less likely now than ever. Neither side is budging. Their legal battle will likely outlast the company. I'd be surprised if T. Rex exists in a form more substantial than just a bunch of paperwork and assets by the end of 2027.
I'm not bullish on Lucas' new ventures either. Adaptiv isn't doing anything interesting, and Lethal Corp is just another online retailer selling the same stuff a thousand other retailers sell. They're vanity projects. Maybe his clothing brand will launch and do well enough that he'll exit the firearms industry completely and in several years Lucas and his family will be a fading memory.
