Fayetteville Police make arrests in residential shooting death​

The Fayetteville Police Department has made two arrests in the July 19th incident at 220 Selwyn Ct. Both subjects are being held at the Fayette County jail in Fayetteville, GA. Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department have obtained and served arrest warrants on Augustus C. Romain, 36/M, and Xavier H. Rushin, 21/M, both residents of 220 Selwyn Ct. for the following charges:

It was determined that one occupant remained inside the residence after all others had exited. There were multiple attempts by law enforcement personnel to establish communication with the individual who remained inside the home, which was unsuccessful. With assistance from the Clayton County EOD Robot team. Entry was made inside the home using the robot to search for occupants. During the search, Amonte T. Ammons 18/M was located unresponsive with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Officers cleared the remainder of the home and confirmed that Mr. Ammons was deceased. The investigation into the incident is still active, and further information will be released when available.

911 call about possible kidnapping leads police to man barricaded inside home

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. — Police said a man is dead after someone called 911 and reported he had been kidnapped by a group of people at a Fayette County home Tuesday.

The bizarre scene in Fayetteville left people sheltering in place in their homes and others unable to get home.

Fayetteville police blocked off the entrance to the Woodbyne Subdivision off of White Road for nearly six hours Tuesday morning.

Police said a man was later found dead inside the home from a gunshot wound. Police say the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.

Channel 2′s Tom Jones spoke with investigators at the scene who said they received a 911 call from someone who was whispering. The caller hung up.

Dispatchers called back and the caller said he had been kidnapped by a group. Officers traced the call to a home on Selwyn Street.

Police said they saw someone who appeared to be in distress in the garage. About 10 people came out of the house, but one person remained inside.

Jones talked to a neighbor, who said she saw police tackle a man outside the home and arrest him.

Just before 2 p.m. investigators held a news conference where they said a SWAT team had entered the home and found a person dead with a gunshot wound to the head and that the incident was over.

The lockdown has since been lifted.

They have not released the identity of the person who died.

Police said the man they arrested was taken into custody for questioning because he was being uncooperative.

Side note but the Black Hammer logo has gotta be one of the worst logos and names I've ever heard, it's like something out of a shitty B movie about a Communist Revolution in South America or some place.

Actually the logo reminds me of the factions from Far Cry 2, where they're literally just the same and the only slight difference is their logos

The U.S. Department of Justice has connected the Black Hammer Party, a Black-led radical group based in Atlanta, to an alleged Russian plot to sow discord in the United States, according to a newly unsealed federal indictment.

The department announced Friday that Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov, a Russian national with Kremlin connections, was secretly funding fringe political groups in Georgia, Florida and California, directing them to “publish pro-Russian propaganda, as well as other information designed to cause dissention in the United States and to promote secessionist ideologies.”

“Secret foreign government efforts to influence American elections and political groups threaten our democracy by spreading misinformation, distrust and mayhem,” Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite, Jr. said in a statement. “The department is committed to ensuring U.S. laws protecting transparency in the electoral process and the political system are not undermined through foreign malign influence.”

According to the indictment, Ionov, who lives in Moscow, paid for members of the Black Hammer Party to travel to San Francisco in March to protest Facebook’s censorship of posts supporting Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The influence went so far as to direct Black Hammer members on the designs of signs for the protest.
The group livestreamed the protest on its social media channels and accounts of the protest were carried in Russian media. Ionov even posted his appreciation of the Facebook protest on his own Facebook page.


Black Hammer and its erratic leader Gazi Kodzo have made criticism of America’s foreign policy regarding the Russian invasion a centerpiece of their recent social media campaigns, calling Ukraine a white supremacist country and backing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s talking points for starting the war.
The indictment does not name the Black Hammer Party, referring to it as “U.S. Political Group 2.” However, details included in the indictment, including the March protest at Facebook and the career path of Kodzo, identified in the indictment as “Unindicted Co-Conspirator 5,” reveal the controversial group as the one allegedly under Ionov’s influence.

Ionov has been charged with conspiring to have U.S. citizens act as illegal agents for the Russian government, a scheme which Justice officials say dates back to 2014. Should he be convicted, he would face up to five years in prison.

The connections with Moscow are just the latest troubles for the Black Hammer group.
Last week, Kodzo, whose real name is Augustus Claudius Romain Jr., was arrested and charged with 11 felony counts, including party to the crime of false imprisonment, party to the crime of kidnapping, party to the crime of aggravated assault, criminal street gang activity, criminal conspiracy to commit a felony and aggravated sodomy, following a SWAT standoff outside the group’s communal home in Fayetteville. The standoff ended after police sent a robot into the home and found an 18-year-old man dead, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Another alleged member of the group, Xavier H. Rushin, 21, was charged in the incident with a misdemeanor and 10 felonies, including kidnapping, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and criminal street gang activity.
Police said they responded to the house after they received an emergency call from inside from someone claiming to be kidnapped. Kodzo and Rushin are in jail in Fayette County on those charges awaiting a bond hearing in Superior Court.
The group routinely has had members arrested, although never for charges this serious. The Black Hammer Party holds regular “church” meetings in Woodruff Park on Sunday where Kodzo and other members proselytize to homeless people, some of whom are recruited to raise money for the group. These loud and usually profane meetings often draw the attention of the Atlanta Police and members of the group have been arrested for minor charges, including violation of the city’s noise ordinance.

I'm passively listening to it now, and at some point between the 30ish to 40ish minute mark one of the speakers, engaging in a conversation about what time period they'd like to visit, shares adamantly that he'd like to go back to ancient Roman to murder Jesus with a machine gun, and then secondly go to the hospital baby Hitler was born in, intentionally infect himself with syphilis, circumcise him and give baby Hitler an aggressive blowjob, instead of machine gunning him down, like with Jesus, which is much less weird. The entire time they're trying to posit themselves as less mentally ill than Gazi, but I'm pretty sure they are equals with him in it. Maybe Gazi less so, because I've never heard him enthusiastically discus giving blowjobs to babies.
 
I saw that this promo material for an interview between Gazi/BH and the Green Party 2020 presidential candidate + his VP was dug up. It appears as though the interview was called off two days in advance when the Ohio Green Party's social media account cried that they weren't interested in a formal interview with joggers who hold anti-semitic views.
