Giant Bomb is fucked now that E3 is gone. That was their last chance at getting good, striking content. Jeff grilling industry vets during interviews was amazing.

Their GOTY content was another reason, but hasn't been well-received for 2 or 3 years now thanks to the removal of any category that might cause the discussion to get too heated. 2019 was so bad they issued an apology.

They're just so fucking boring now.
 
Remember counter strike 1.6/ source or xbox live? You couldn't go five minutes without a preteen being a slur/homophobic machine gun through a shitty mic. The mute button exists or god forbid, go play in a different game/ lobby.

Those first couple of years of giant bomb were really something, kind of depressing to see what they've become.
 
Given how many people are leaving Kotaku over the past six months it's obvious to anyone that Jason did shit all to help out there. His reason for leaving the company was because he couldn't be political in his articles anymore. I doubt Bloomberg will stand for it. You can't write about a new processor coming out and bitch about there being no black people in the workforce. People will just go to another site and you'll end up giving Bloomberg a bad reputation (just like these people gave Kotaku).

Yet the conspiracy theories soldier on because of whollopers on the internet. I believe there’s a singular reason for this: it’s because this vocal minority of angry internet babies are pissed off that the story isn’t catered to them, the protagonists of reality.

Over the years, video games have done their best to pander to them. Every bit of corporate messaging makes them believe art is for them and artists are their servants. “We do this for you, the gamers,” says the corporate overlord who wants to sell you a product. “Don’t like something? No worries. We’ll patch it out.”

It’s basement dwelling shitlords who complain about characters’ breast sizes. If they’re realistic, it’s an “SJW” game and it’s “censorship”. If they’re massive cartoon tits, that’s just artistic integrity, dude.

They keeps saying that all games cater to "the gamers", making me wonder who it is gaming should be pandering to. The same way they can't name a single conservative game journalist despite claiming that there's lots of them, they never name a game that had the wokeness patched out at the behest of gamers despite claims there's a lot of them.

They're not even claiming that, though. They're barely concealing that what they're angry about is gamers don't buy utter shit that they don't want. They're entitled to that free money for their shitty walking simulator and how dare those gamers all ignore the rave reviews from "game journalists" who can't even get through a tutorial of a real game.

I just want all services like Twitch and shit to collapse and force people to actually play through the game themselves again.

I've read multiple reviews now and have seen shit from streams being referenced in a review. They're not even reviewing games anymore, they're just watching twitch and youtubes.

He's a game journalist and he's on a public discussion fora. He's in a profession where, if he has any respect for his craft, he should nut up and face the lions of public opinion as regards his profession.

Since he doesn't, he pulls this shit.
