Admittedly, I do think way too many people tolerate Kojima's pretentious bullshit because they want to believe that writing convoluted acid trips is “deep,” but Metal Gear at least has actual gameplay in between the hour-long cutscenes. Games like Mixtape really are just cutscenes with the occasional no-consequences QTE.
