There's going to be some bullshit surrounding this from all sides, you can just tell.

I can't wait.

I am so fucking confused by this.

How exactly did his bosses allow his kids to get abused? How did they factor into this or prevent Ben from helping his kids?

Why would they have a problem with him and/or his kids getting vaccinated? Aren't the people at Vox mega lefties? I'd think they'd have more of an issue of him NOT getting vaccinated.

Whatever the case, I'm not surprised that Maddy Meyers is involved. She's an insane man hating troon. Chris Plante is an ultra cuck.

It's hard to know because everyone involved in this story is a completely insane piece of shit and a liar.

So let me get this straight, his points are 1) his kids are getting sexually abused, 2) his insurance wouldn't pay for a vaccine the government was practically paying you to get, 3) he got fired for calling in too much, and 4) Chris Plante has editorial control. How the hell are any of these points related to the others?

A kinda yes and no. Ben is a mess, I'm still surprised this person somehow has kids.

It's that Ben is stupid/naively thinking that Vox media spouting so many progressive ideologies would wholeheartedly letting Ben "not doing his job" and goes taking care of his family issue instead. Now he loses his job and is on mental breakdown crying about Chris Plante and Maddy Myers who he thought would be his friends and be supportive, but they aren't. And Ben goes on rambling about how Chris being a horrible boss yada yada, it's Chris and manager team fault for the state of video game journalism.

A response of Maddy Myers to Ben accusing her siding with Plante.

He was tweeting like a spastic half a year ago, so there's a fair chance this is just a case of advancing mental illness.

1 and 3 are tied together because he was "calling out of work" because his kids were being abused. That was his call out reason. You would think it would be a one-time affair, but apparently not. Not sure of his situation, but I'd imagaine if your kids are getting abused you could at least work from home.

2 and 3 are tied because apparently being vaxxed is fireable at a leftist magazine?

3 and 4 are tied because Chris Plante was the one who pushed for him to get fired and was basically writing all of the reviews anyway.

Basically the managing editor was doing managing editing and didn't like Ben constantly not showing up for work and suggested he should be removed.

You can tell how by looking at him.

He is pretty much an irl soyjak.

My attempt at deciphering his issues are: He wanted to take time off because his kids were being sexually abused and they said no.
They either wouldn't let him get vaccinated on company time, or wouldn't let him do it at a time he wanted, instead making him come in on a Saturday.
He didn't want Chris Plante editing his work, but they said he had no choice; there seems to be something in there about favouritism towards someone else or a complaint that he felt he was over-edited.
Those two - Plante and Myers - specifically didn't care enough about the plight of Ben Kuchera, and he's stayed silent about it for too long - which does make you wonder how long he allegedly kept this under wraps for. But he's been fired, so all bets are off.

There is absolutely no way this isn't Kuchera massaging things to make himself out to be the biggest victim who never does anything wrong. The repeated attempts to tie his enemies in to the apparent abuse of his children gives that away, if you didn't get that just from him being a woke progressive. Vox is a pile of shit as well, but I get the feeling that their worst crimes in this might be office politics and attempting to treat him like an employee, rather than a special friend who gets paid even if he doesn't feel like working.

Hire people like Ben, and you get drama in the workplace. Let them go, and they start drama trying to take you down a few pegs.

Why even hire these people in the first place? So much bother, and so many of them don't even deliver work of a quality commensurate with their post or salary.

Haven't seen this one posted, Ian Walker recently loses his job at Kotaku and begging for someone to hire him instead of freelancing.

Some records of whatever his excellent gaming journalism, or how just how gay he is.
1, 2, 3 and 4.

No wonder, he dislikes Final Fantasy Origins main character design that much.

A retweet from him.

Rest in fucking piss, what a useless "career". This is the same faggot who wrote Kotaku's PS5 "review" where he just complained about the 2020 election, police brutality and Covid instead of talking about the actual fucking console. His only conclusion in that article is that Sony should've delayed the PS5's launch because everyone (meaning him) would be too sad from the world to buy one.

This sisterfucking waste of life definitely was a master baiter, but he had absolutely nothing of value to bring to the table, and nothing of value is lost by him never writing an article for the gaming industry ever again.
They always want to explicitly sexualize Link and Cloud, but I didn’t think I would live to see male journalists do this.
They're in the western gaming industry, in 2013 Anita Sarkeesian and other feminist grifters came out of the woodwork to tell them that the "male gaze" was bad and having sexual thoughts about female characters is bad. So now you have a ton of insecure soyboys like Ian "ironically" lust over male characters in supposedly the same way male journos from the old days would lust over female characters. You can see tons of Ian Walker types crowding Resetera and forcing themselves to lust over Thor's fat rolls in the new GOW, because finding women hot is bad.

They either wouldn't let him get vaccinated on company time, or wouldn't let him do it at a time he wanted, instead making him come in on a Saturday.
That's my understanding as well and the funny thing is that he sees that as punishment for getting vaccinated AND he is still seething over this minor slight after all this time. It( no comped time) being one of the foundations for his complaint makes me wonder how incredibly minor the other injustices are.

Who was molesting his kids and why would staying home from work prevent it? Are perverts crawling in through the windows when he's gone or is his wife's boyfriend not to be trusted?

Ben Kuchera is melting down on Twitter.

Archive of his Twitter is here. Not sure that got everything.

I did take screenshots but I'll need to crop them first.

The thing that gets me the most is, why didn’t he contact the local authorities about his daughters being sexually abused(?) if there were problems at the office.

Also, Polygon is just another corporatized “gaming” outlet that hides behind the video gaming tag to post agitprop. How are they no different from Kotaku?

He said in one of the tweets that he provided the court documents, but I don't get how that factors into a reasonable argument. Even most bottom of the barrel jobs offer (unpaid) leave of absence if requested, no justification needed. Did somebody at Vox rape his kids, like on-site daycare? But if that's the case, I don't get how the editor factors in, there really is nothing Plante can do.

Of course, I'm probably thinking too hard and expecting a dipshit to not be one.

Yeah, he presents it as an ongoing problem in his tweets and only, I assume, compensated time away from work could help. When told no he still sourly stomped into work to get his 100k salary for reviewing video games despite it meaning his kids were getting sexually abused, so what does that tell us? Nothing, really, his story is nutty as fuck but if it was true in the way he presents it he would look like a real bag of shit. Get a real job and save your children, fucker!

I also got the impression that he can NOW provide all kinds of receipts and court documents, of some kind, but when approaching his superiors at the time maybe not so much. Or maybe he expected taht they would put together a strikeforce like they do when one of them is called "fag" on twitter.
